Can a jewelry store feel like home? Can you always leave feeling happier with life after being…read morethere? Absolutely you can at Ackerman. My family and I were blessed to walk into Ackermans 24+ years ago and meet their newest staff member Linda. Since then we have been lucky enough to have them as our neighborhood jewelers and the only place we would trust with special pieces and special moments in our lives. I recently got engaged and my fiancé proposed with a travel ring bc he wanted to make sure I helped in the diamond selection process. After taking me someplace else that friends had suggested, we realized that experience was too special to entrust to just anyone. We went straight to Ackermans and after Linda made sure she knew what setting, style, size etc. I was looking for, my fiancé went back the next day and spent over a hour with the owner Ron making sure the got the perfect diamond for me. The customer service, the kindness and the attention to detail (and quality) is unmatched here. We have already popped back in to have the ring steamed and say hello. I can't say enough good things. If you are in the market for any piece of jewelry, need yours repairs or reset, this is where you want to go.

My fiancée and I went together the first time so that she could get her ring size, and try on different diamond shapes to make sure she knew what she wanted. We were lucky enough to helped by Justine who was friendly and fun to work with but also professional and had the answers to all of our questions. After the first time, I coordinated with Justine to keep looking at diamonds and making the final decisions on the ring, and she helped me finalize the ring while I kept it a secret from my girlfriend so that I could surprise her. Justine was able to get a perfect champagne colored diamond from their supplier which she said were pretty hard to come by, and created a beautiful setting for the ring. They even created a wax mold of the setting before going ahead and building the real thing, so that I could see that and make sure all the specifications were what we wanted. Justine was available by text which made communicating discreetly much easier as well which I appreciated. Overall, this was such an amazing experience for a guy who was nervous about the whole process of buying a ring and keeping it a secret the whole time! Thank you to Justine and Mavilo for all the help and I will definitely be recommending Mavilo to all my friends who are in the market for a ring.

5 stars isn't high enough for Franklins...thank you for the wonderful service…read more My spouse and I stopped in today to get a quote on some gold jewelry we wanted to sell. From the moment we walked in we felt comfortable and at ease. Everyone was unbelievably kind and the jeweler sat down with us and went over each piece we brought in. He thoroughly went over each piece, testing questionable pieces, and sorting everything (14k, 10k, sterling silver). Once everything was sorted he made a great offer. Before we went in I was planning on getting a second opinion but his offer was so good that we didn't need to go anywhere else. The entire process was effortless. We truly appreciated how easy it was to sell our jewelry. We would 100% go to Franklin's to sell again (and buy...whoa...really stunning jewelry for sale!)

I decided to order a 7mm, and it was shipped fast after it was finally handmade. It was so much heavier than expected because I was used to my old chain. I will say I'm still happy to this day, and I would definitely repeat if I ever needed anything else.

DO NOT GO HERE! Extremely disappointing experience…read more The ring we received looked nothing like the ring we ordered or the photos advertised online. Even more concerning, it was presented to us in person at the store and we were told it was correct and had passed quality control. We returned the ring within 6 business days because the differences were so obvious. Multiple staff members expressed disbelief at how far off the design was and apologized for the mistake. Brilliant Earth then sent the ring out to be remade. It came back wrong. They sent it back again. After nearly three months of delays and repeated assurances that it had passed quality checks, the ring still did not match what we ordered. To make matters worse, the showroom sample didn't even match the website photos, and the explanation we were given was that my smaller ring size changed the design (which is the craziest excuse I've ever heard for a known ring maker to have). If that is true, customers should be told before purchasing because the final product can look dramatically different from what is advertised. Throughout my entire engagement, I have not had the ring my fiancé purchased for me. Brilliant Earth has even suggested I may need a loaner ring for my wedding because the correct ring may not be ready in time. Despite returning the ring within five days and never receiving the correct product, Brilliant Earth now refuses a refund because more than 30 days have passed, even though they have had possession of the ring since we turned it in within the first 6 business days and have they had it the last three months attempting to fix it. We paid for a specific ring and never received it. The lack of accountability, repeated quality control failures, and refusal to provide a meaningful resolution have made this one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. They also expressed they would not be giving any monetary value as they rarely ever allow that.

King Jewelers has truly earned a customer for life…read more When my husband and I first started ring shopping, we were upfront--we were just looking for pricing. Despite that, the team at King Jewelers welcomed us with kindness and zero pressure. They took the time to walk us through different diamond options, gave us honest and transparent quotes, and even sketched out a custom design based on exactly what I had envisioned. We left feeling informed, not pressured--something that's incredibly rare in the world of jewelry shopping. Shortly after, we visited my husband's family jeweler and had a completely different experience. The owners felt more like car salesmen--aggressive and pushy--and even with their so-called "friends and family" discount, the prices were identical to what we were quoted at King. I left that appointment in tears and told my husband right then: I was sold on King Jewelers. Months later, when we were finally ready to move forward, we went back--and to my surprise, they still had the original sketch on file. I had diamonds my father gave me when I was younger, and King Jewelers repurposed them into a completely custom ring. It was finished in under two weeks, and the craftsmanship is outstanding. Even better, with the leftover diamonds, Gabriel designed a beautiful necklace for me, and I had matching earrings made to wear on our wedding day. His skill is unmatched, and beyond that, he is genuinely kind and passionate about his work. You can tell he truly cares about every piece he touches and every customer who walks through the door. King Jewelers isn't just a jewelry store--it's a place where your most meaningful moments are treated with the care and respect they deserve. I will be going back to Gabriel and King Jewelers for the rest of my life.

This was when they were still outside of Nordstrom at International Mall. My dad had commissioned them to make a cross of silver with sapphires on it, and I brought in a small amount of her ashes to have them seal inside of it. They said I could always bring it in for cleaning when I was in town (I was in grad school at UF then). Whenever I came home to visit my dad I'd always walk in (no appointment) and ask if they could clean it while I walked around the mall. Not one single time did they ever NOT remember my name. It was one of those kindness' that you never forget over the years. I'm not married yet, but if I ever did get engaged, I'd request my future partner/fiancé to use them.

I never write bad reviews but I would NOT recommend David Reynolds Jewelry based on my experience…read moreand wish I knew their unprofessionalism before going in. I came in to have my rings resized and soldered together. On my first visit I didn't realize the work would take about a week, and since I had upcoming travel, I came back to drop the rings off on a second visit so there would be enough time. On that second visit I was quoted roughly $100 more than I'd been quoted a couple of weeks earlier for the exact same services, with no explanation for the increase. I was told it would take a week. A week later I called to check on my rings and was told it would be at least another week -- even though I had specifically dropped them off early because of my travel dates, which I'd made clear. On the phone, they acknowledged their mistake and offered a discount to make it right, but the "discount" would have been applied to the already-inflated second price, so it didn't amount to much. When I came in at the one-week mark to pick up my rings, no work had been done to them at all, and no one even mentioned the discount they had promised over the phone. On top of that, throughout both visits I felt very rushed. They didn't even size my fingers for the resize when I initially came in, and they forgot to note the soldering on my receipt -- I had to go back in person the day I dropped it off to confirm it was included, which it had not been. At that point I left with my rings and no services performed, because I simply didn't trust them to handle the job. Between the pricing inconsistency, the repeated delays, the unfulfilled promise, and the disorganized and rushed service, I would not recommend this jeweler.
