Avoid Sapiah Woodworks as if your life depends on it. Both Lisa Kidwell and Ann Barthrop (Lisa's elderly/disabled mother and registered owner/agent of Sapiah Woodworks) lied about professional qualifications, abilities, character, and integrity. Sapiah Woodworks has a pattern of deceptive business practices and former clients regularly refer to both Lisa and her mother as "con artist," "liar," "fraud," "criminals," "thieves," "crooks," etc. Others say they damaged property, left without completing work, didn't show up when promised, created hazardous conditions, etc. While Sapiah Woodworks, Lisa Kidwell, and Ann Barthrop advertise their qualifications and credentials in "custom homes," "new home construction," "general contracting," and "general contractors," this is not remotely accurate. If you learn from my mistake and do your due diligence beforehand (I sadly didn't) and search other reviews, you will find there are a lot of people agreeing about Sapiah Woodworks fraudulent misrepresentation and how this mother and daughter team have a history of lying, stealing, swindoling, scamming, conning, overcharging, performing horrible work, not completing promised work at all, and/or refusing to refund money/property they stole. From my firsthand experience with Sapiah Woodworks, Lisa Kidwell, and Ann Barthrop, I agree wholeheartedly. After attempting to follow a biblical model of conflict resolution (since this mother and daughter proclaim their strong Christian faith, ties to the community, and relationships with other Christians) and professionally communicate with Lisa and her mother via email, text, phone, and in person for several months, I was forced to take Sapiah Woodworks, Lisa Kidwell, and Ann Barthrop to small claims court to retrieve the money and property they stole from me. While I won the court case in the judicial sense, my entire point was hoping to prevent any other person, family, or business in this small and precious community from being harmed by Sapiah Woodworks, Lisa Kidwell, and Ann Barthrop. If honesty, integrity, and professionalism matter to you and you care about your property, please take my advice and avoid Sapiah Woodworks, Lisa Kidwell, and Ann Barthrop at all costs in personal and professional relationships. They are not qualified to perform the work they advertise and have a recorded history of fraudulently misrepresenting their capabilities and character. With the experience had by myself and others, I firmly believe any positive reviews are likely paid for or provided by Lisa or Ann's friends. Thank you for your consideration and I pray you seek and find other wonderful professionals who can meet your needs with integrity, service, excellence, and value. read more
