This…read morefact is extremely difficult to discover, since their website doesn't mention it and there is no sign whatsoever once you arrive; just an abandoned-looking welcome kiosk and decrepit public elevators with a half-ripped off sign that says they are out of service, but doesn't mention whether or not there is an alternate route up. We finally confirmed that it was closed by loading up Wikipedia on our phones and finding a small note that isn't mentioned on the Grande Arche's website: "(After a non-injury accident in the elevators in April 2010, the Department of Ecology, owner of the roof of the Grande Arche, has decided to permanently close the computer museum, restaurant, and viewing deck. Access to the roof is still possible via the elevators in the north and south walls, but they are closed to the public.)"

Le Pouce is an interesting structure that is located right near the Grande Arche in the…read morenewer modern Paris which is a bit away from the traditional Paris that everyone is used too... This structure is actually pretty cool and fairly detailed for a giant thumb, lol. Overall, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for this structure, but if you're in the business oriented portion of Paris and want to see something unique, take a peek at Le Pouce.

Grande Arche de la Défense is a beautiful, modern monument in La Défense, Paris…read more Although it isn't the most well-known or widely recognised monument in Paris, it is kind of an unsung hero of the city which is truly one of my favourite cities in the world, it's a modern arch which consists of government offices, in a really nice square which separates Westfield and CNIT, right by the metro station which is underneath. At 360 ft tall, it is a little taller than the Tour Eiffel and also forms part of the Axe Historique. It's magnificent structure really adds grace and elegance into the La Defense area and makes the view from the Starbucks nearby a little better, especially in the outdoor patio area. It does have multiple steps which lead up the monument which is popular for people to sit and relax, while it might not have the international fame or wow-factor as the Arc de Triomph (of which it is 4km away from) or the Tour Eiffel, it's a pretty nice and underrated monument in a great city.
