Whilst a little cramped inside, don't bring your babies by the way, they manage to stock a lot of stuff in the lots of shelves they have put in this space. There isn't much space to move on a busy weekend day, but it's fun I've got to admit. Navigating my way around the fully packed aisles looking for that special ingredient for my pho noodle soup or my pork adobo... I can usually find it. They also have cheap fruit and chinese vegies in the front by the cashier counters as well. The staff are always very friendly and although you can't get everything here, it's a great place to start your asian culinary adventure.

I buy my spices here - the bags are huge and range from $3 to $5 everything from ground coriander to cumin, dried chillies and garam masala. The quantities are about five times that of what you can get in a regular supermarket and so much cheaper. I keep them fresh in sealed bags in the freezer. They also stock dried beans and pulses, rice in bulk, soap, henna powder, Bollywood films, incense, pickles, chillies, budja mix - everything and anything Middle Eastern and all very affordable. The staff are always really friendly and can help out if you are unsure of any of the weird and wonderful items they sell.

It's got the most extensive range you'll need for Indian. If you're -not- an Indian restaurant chef, then you have no need to go beyond this place. They've got everything you need, including a giant bottle of Korma paste. The stuff inside these huge jars is incredible. Be aware, the paste is authentic, direct from India, powerful gear. Keep some cream available for that next dish you make. They also have a range of Indian, Bollywood movies (which pretty much means their a variety of musical). If you want to get baked, eat some butter chicken and watch a movie about a cricket player who becomes a secret agent prince-king, then you've found the right place. Big bags of Jasmine rice can be found for a SUPER cheap price, as with most things in this store. It's a little cramped but you'll love it.

My favourite thing to buy from there are these chewy, but fluffy, almost cake-like biscuits, the name of which I can't remember. They come in flavours such as caramel, mint, chocolate and cherry. Not a huge fan of the mint, but the caramel are delicious. As well as stocking all the exciting foreign foods, they also sell basic things like milk, so if you live nearby and don't feel like making the trip into Coles, Tepemok can be used like a corner store. You will want to sneak some of those biscuits into your basket, though!

As I said in my previous review, there's not a lot of competition, but this is best yiros in Brisbane. (If you can prove me wrong, please do!!) They have actual lamb, chicken and pork, not that god awful mince stuff. We're not talking something you choke down when too drunk to make better decisions, this is worth travelling for. The chips are perfect. They scoop tzatziki with a spoon, not squirt it out of a bottle (get some on the side for your chips!) I'm almost salivating thinking about the lamb and am considering stoppin in on my way to a BBQ because... I don't need a reason.

So, I don't shop at Asian Groceries often. However, walking past they had a special on Shin Ramen…read more(the spicy good stuff!) that caught my eye immediately. $3.99 for a 5 pack. Such a steal! So I took a quick minute to browse around and they also sell Sriracha hot sauce - a staple in my kitchen, which can be harder to find out here in Australia than it is to find back home so it's definitely good to know where I could go to grab another one - mine is getting dangerously low!
