They use such quality ingredients, in this case Gorgonzola, that you won't be disappointed with anything on the menu. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because the ambiance is not great. The menu is limited, yes. It's also in Italian, or the most heavily Italian-accented German of all time, so even those who speak German are at a loss. The truffle pasta was, in the end, only a bowl of spaghetti with chips of truffle on top. No lovely broth, no depth, no veggies, no cheese. A $1 worth of pasta and some bark chips. That's it. The other dishes similarly failed to amaze. Worse, the co-owner seemed to have returned from Italy recently. He was, what can only be described as loaded, hitting on female patrons, slurring, and being way too loud. It was embarassing. I leave an extra star for the memory of meals past. This meal deserved 0.

My dinner partner got a small salad, which was very crunchy, fresh, and the dressing was a very good balsamic-based dressing. I would recommend getting that instead as a starter. For my main, despite my misgivings, I ordered a grilled salmon with blanched vegetables. My misgivings come from the fact that I can cheaply and easily make this at home (skin the salmon, drizzle oil and salt, pop it into the oven) but I decided to go for the €18,90 salmon. I did ask for a cream sauce additionally to jazz it up a bit and justify the price with the product, and boy, am I glad I did. The blanched vegetables were pretty blah (potato fingerlings, zucchini, bell peppers) but the salmon was perfectly cooked, and the creamy sauce complemented the salmon nicely. My dining partner had the pumpkin risotto with baby calamari. I tried some and it was creamy, smooth, and flavorful. My salmon was better though :) Good service, nice ambience, excellent food, high prices. You pay for what you get here.

They also have very good appetizers, salads and a few other dishes, most of those changing often. The coffee is great (Saquella beans through a La Cimbali machine and the staff is competent enough). Sophia, the owner, is there most nights, so if you need an explanation for the name (there is one), ask her. She speaks great English, too. Some minor annoyances: they don't take any credit cards and you have to sit far in to avoid the cigarette smoke of the outdoor guests. Still, this is an easy four stars.

My only complain is that the starter mix plate was brought with the pizza, it would've been better if they brought the starter first (some places would ask if the should brought separately or together), it just causes traffic jam on the table when both were delivered. Overall, good place to have a pizza for dinner
