Free entry (except on Boxing Day & Easter Sunday), good facilities, lots of space, great views The food is excellent quality, but is a litle pricey. & the queues are usually very long We use Towcester racecourse 3-4 times per year, taking our 10 year old son who always enjoys the excitement of it all Evening racing is especially good toward the end of the season (May/June) when we take a picnic which we always enjoy with many others in the extensive car park (field) This is a national hunt racecourse, so there's no racing in the summer months Massive investment has gone into the grandstand in recent years, & although I haven't yet made use of this impressive new facility, I understand the quality of what is available is 100%. Try to approach the racecourse from Brixworth/Stoke Bruene, as the A5 gets very congested NB I never win!!!!!!

I met up with load's ov people, one group ov lads i met all with modified car's and bird's that were the model's,(id'e got fotoed with earlyer) i went clubing with them and chilled out with them while there. show's people can be friendly.

Concerts, other charity events. The BMF motorcyle show twice a year. Once in May and again in September, over a weekend, with stalls, motorcylce clothing at really cheap prices. In the evenings they have live bands and other entertainment. Its well worth going to - so pack your tent and jump on your bike with some mates, you'll love it.

A bit like Glastonbury only on a tiny scale. I reckon there was about 5000 people there, it was only £90 and everything is a lot lot easier than Glastonbury. The weather was beautiful which obviously helped but would have been good anywhere and there were loads of tents where you could shelter. There was a good selection of smaller artists, good DJ's and other acts. There was a massive 'Rio style' carnival Saturday night which paraded around the campsite and everyone got dressed up. I will definitely go back. 100% next year and think you should go too!

There is a good variety of walks through some great countryside and trails, we only did one of the short ones. West Lodge put on a variety of activities throughout the day including cow-milking, pony grooming, pet the rabbits and ferret racing! You can also take a barrel ride on the back of a tractor every hour, if you can squeeze into the barrels. There are tractor rides round the whole farm which is something well worth doing, though it is about £1 each extra I think. We went on a coldish day that was slightly overcast and there was plenty to do indoors, including a nice not too expensive cafe, an indoor play area for littler children, a painting activity, animal petting etc etc. They also have ride on tractors which they told us would be going under a barn roof so they are suitable year round. The childrens play area was very good with lots of sand and buckets and spades, and some good equipment. If eating in the cafe is not your bag, then we were impressed with the choice of places to picnic, and of course vast open fields too! One of the picnicking areas is next to a small copse with denmaking stuff in, which our children enjoyed. The farm was not massive, it was a really nice friendly size, and not too packed either. We had a lovely, relaxed visit and all enjoyed it loads. A shame you have to exit through the gift shop, but it was reasonably priced stuff and everywhere seems to do this now. We paid £16 for a family ticket, though an annual pass is only £80 and we will seriously consider this in the future.

And then there is a little cafe with an inside playground which is great. They serve food as well as an assortment of cakes and biscuits. Also when you enter and exit there is a toy shop which your kids will love which also sells useful items like wellies if you come on a day that rains. A great spot: we will definitely return!

What a wonderful experience from the start off the grid right through to the final lap. Starting with a history 'lesson' of the area from abbey, to farm, to airfield. Very interesting. Then down the stairs onto the main area full of cars, motorcycles and other memorabilia. Easy to spend quite a few hours wandering. Loads of place to sit and take it all in. The final lap is a visual and sensory experience. A lap, on surround screen, with a mixture of cars racing. Cars and motorcycles of every era passing us, including a Wellington bomber and the Red Arrows. A wonderful few hours spent. Worth every penny even though it wasn't my money. Thanks to my partner for the Christmas pressie of two years ago. Thanks to reception for allowing us to change the dates on one or two occasions due to Covid and the fuel shortage.
