That said, the bleachers for this particular baseball field are not comfortable and a tight fit as far as leg room goes. (and I'm 5'4) Maybe bring a cushion, blanket or a towel for some tush comfort. We had an early morning game (9 a.m.) with sun already out and ended up setting the tent up for shade. There are some random areas to each side of the bleachers but more so for smaller tent set up or even lawn chairs in those areas and also near trees/grassy areas for some additional shade. If you plan to sit in the bleachers, come ready with the above stated and even umbrellas. There were a few moms on our team that sat in lawn chairs in front of the first row of bleachers. Not a whole lot of room though. Literally just 2-3 chairs there were set up. I also noticed another tent, maybe two can be set up next to the dug out (first base side). Another tip: bring something to wipe down or brush off your seat. There are Crepe Myrtle trees that shed their flowers onto those seats.

The Olin building has been at Southwestern University for more than 30 years. You can see the combination of the old and new aspects of the building. The classrooms where the retreat was held included auditorium styled rooms about 8 rows deeps a fairly new style. The restrooms while extremely clean are a bit dated. Their design of rooms made it easy to see and hear from any point in the classroom. Audio visuals included the TV monitors, speakers and mics. The acoustics in the room was also good. In addition, parking was super easy and very close the Olin building. It was easy access to and from the building.

My cohort became a small family, we had some disagreements but at the end of the day were always there for each other (instructors included). As for my reasoning why I put 4 stars instead of 5... If my rating was solely based on the PTA program I would've given 5 stars. Let's just start by saying the financial aid department is a HOT MESS. I can't even begin to tell you guys how many issues I had. Whether it was constantly being notified about a balance (which was paid for), having a member of financial aid accuse my mother of not signing documents correctly (parent loan) or going to financial aid meetings and having them say, "everything looks good, I'm not sure why you were scheduled for a meeting," and lastly them not taking off certain fees. I met with a different person almost every time I went in to see someone. No one stuck around very long in general. Angela was the only good thing about the financial aid department.

This review is regarding the interactions via email that I had with the graduate programs director,…read moreDOCTOR Kathy Smith. Lots of emphasis on DOCTOR. After being accepted to the Texas State nurse practitioner program, I received communications from the university and the graduate studies department. Email instructions which appeared to contradict each other, or mislead the receiver somewhat, and made the university seem disorganized. Wanting to be conscientious, I sent a respectful email to DOCTOR Smith, asking politely for clarification. Her response was ridiculously arrogant and made it very clear that she was irritated by the email I had sent her for clarification. There was no explanation or apology for the different messages that I received from the university vs the graduate nursing department, and she made a point of stressing that students must refer to her as DOCTOR Smith. I have no problem with that, of course, since I'm sure she worked hard for her doctorate. Her rudeness, arrogance and obviously impatient attitude was a dealbreaker for me, the last straw after the other aggravating issues with Texas State University. I immediately decided to attend a different school, because DOCTOR Smith's behavior made it seem like a very bad idea to deal with this school for an entire 15 months! I'm happily attending grad school elsewhere, even though it is more expensive and the program is longer.

While I can't post about what it's like to go to college at UT (Austin), I can post about experiences I've had. The school which was founded in 1883 is recognized as a top college in the country. It often falls under the category of "the new Ivy League". I have been on campus for everything from protests, the annual Longhorn run, college & alumni-affiliated events, strolling the campus, and a few other things. It has always been a wonderful experience. Faculty, staff, and students alike all boasting their Longhorn pride. Hook 'Em Horns!!! What an extraordinarily beautiful campus for strolling from the lush greens to incredible architecture that's also stood the test of time. Calling out women for disagreeing with him when he's bringing up personal topics unrelated to school. Heard him call a woman difficult, opinionated, and disagreeable. Parking tickets, paid garage parking if you don't have time to take a bus across town to get to the campus and hike to class. When I was attending, the construction was so bad on the roads I popped a tire on a rock and was stranded for 4 hours. Professors are absolutely terrible. They are condescending and rude. The course work is absolutely ridiculous across majors, a lot of professors don't clearly define projects but then grade you as if they did. Healthcare Administration program professors mock students and spread misinformation, try to make students fearful of their future careers and financial courses are useless to the job, an old man talking about his "knowledge" about healthcare finances. Required reading: the book he wrote. Project management course, I worked on a commercial for the school, professor took off points because she didn't like the commercial and said it wasn't "relevant" to healthcare administration because I didn't include stock images of an administrative job. I had to call professors out regularly for their unethical and insufficient grading. All of this during my two years there, and I had at least two professors openly mock me as if I was dumb. The last straw was them telling me to work 40 hour weeks in residency that I had to secure from their "approved list" with no pay or promise of a job in the end. Changed my major the next week. One professor told me I would be "working at McDonald's" if I changed my major and another mocked a response I had to the lesson in a sarcastic tone both in front of the class. I felt totally embarrassed and absolutely alone, overworked and overwhelmed while attending this school. I wish I could get my money and time back from this university, but in the very least have my degree that I worked so hard for. One psychology History & Theory course in particular held me back from graduating because professor gave over 100 assignments during the semester and took off points because she didn't agree with your opinions, on opinion based assignments. Begged her and asked what I could do to bring my grade up multiple times during the semester and she refused consistently and failed me in the end. Tail end of COVID. $1000 to retake the course. I spent more time trying explain myself to these professors than I ever should have as a college student, it's their job to grade properly and set students up for success, instead they use their position to bully students. They withheld my degree over this one class and the professor has been poorly reviewed for years! Over 120 credit hours earned and thousands of dollars, please send me my diploma!
