My experience with management at this daycare was incredibly disappointing…read more After my boyfriend's transmission failed while we were driving, we had no choice but to coast into the nearest parking lot because the truck was no longer drivable. We immediately left a note explaining the situation, apologized for the inconvenience, left my phone number, and arranged for a tow truck. Despite doing everything we could to communicate and resolve the situation, I was met with unnecessary hostility from the moment I received a phone call the next morning. Angela, who identified herself as part of management, spoke to me in a way that was rude, impatient, and completely lacking in basic courtesy. When I called back to explain that a tow truck was already on the way, I spoke with another gentleman whose name I didn't catch, and he was equally hostile and confrontational. What stood out most was not that they wanted the truck removed--I completely understand that. It was the way they chose to treat someone who was already dealing with a stressful and unexpected vehicle emergency. Even after arriving and waiting for the tow truck, I was approached again in a confrontational manner. For someone in a leadership position at a daycare, I was honestly surprised by the level of impatience and short temper displayed throughout these interactions. Emergencies happen, and while businesses have every right to protect their property, there is still a professional and respectful way to communicate with people. The complete lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic human decency turned an already difficult situation into an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. Kindness costs nothing, and unfortunately that was not reflected in my experience with Angela or the other staff member I spoke with. I hope future interactions with members of the public are handled with more patience and professionalism than mine was.

I can't say enough good things about Hillside. This school has become an extension of our family…read more The level of skill and passion these teachers and staff have for Montessori education is amazing to watch. We have had one child there from 18 months through Lower Primary, and our second child starts in a few weeks. The value of sending our children here instead of to a daycare has been huge. Watching friends who live other places and don't have a Montessori option send their kids to daycare where they pay more money for a bare minimum level of childcare has been eye opening. At Hillside, we always know our kids are safe, cared for, happy, and learning. When our son was 2 years old, he came home singing a song that we couldn't quite understand the words to. That night at bedtime, he pointed to a map and said "That's North America!" That was when we realized he had been singing the continents song all afternoon. He has grown in practical skills (helping us with dinner every night), creative ability (he loves painting and drawing), and emotional maturity (helping with his little sister because he is used to "being a leader" in the classroom at school). I don't write reviews often, but Hillside deserves more than five stars.

They don't try to talk to you as a teacher to a parent, no they think it's okay to come at you sideways. I work myself to the bone to pay for childcare, which helps pay their paycheck. They forget that part. They wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for the parents. The prices are continuing to get way too expensive. They are still going up constantly but yet the service is still declining.

2 reviews a month…read moreago AVOID. Bree the director dismissed every concern I had about my child while she was enrolled. The dismissiveness and lack of concern for the children of our future is alarming. The director seems burned out and unable to show empathy or care for the students. My child was pushed onto the ground on several occasions, pantsed and also mentioned that the teachers did not "watch" closely. When I sent a letter stating all of my concerns (end of care letter) THE DIRECTOR did not call nor did she reach out to even hear what happened with my child, DISAPPOINTING to say the least. My child was simply removed. There was also a video posted on Facebook by the teacher with a child groping himself and rubbing his body against my child. I had to call to have the video taken down because they didn't watch the video carefully before posting it. I waited a whole month and have not heard anything. Please avoid this place. The head teacher and director are not passionate and it will reflect on your children.
