I just had my first experience with L & L Puppy Patch, and I honestly cannot say enough wonderful…read morethings about them! I recently moved to Godley from out of state, and as the very protective dog dad of two Golden Retriever brothers, Hudson and Hollister, finding a new place that I trust with my boys is a BIG deal to me. Anyone who has Goldens probably understands that arriving somewhere new with two very excited, very social, very strong dogs can sometimes feel like entering a building with a traveling circus. Hudson and Hollister want to greet EVERYONE, preferably by jumping up to say hello and giving them a kiss. I'm usually trying to hold two leashes, open doors, apologize to strangers, and somehow maintain the appearance that my dogs have actually received training at some point in their lives. Before I could even get the boys completely out of the back of my car, a staff member came outside and said, "Hey Dad, would you like some help?" WOW. That may sound like a small thing, but it immediately told me something about this business. Someone saw that I could use some help and came outside before I ever had to ask. In all my years of taking dogs to groomers, I honestly don't remember that ever happening before. Once inside, I met the owner, Leslie (I believe!), and Carolyn, and their warmth and friendliness were so genuine. As a first-time customer, I was admittedly a little embarrassed as Hudson and Hollister bounced around wanting to personally welcome every human being in the boutique. Instead of making me feel uncomfortable or making the boys feel like they were "too much," they immediately took both of them, loved on them, and made the entire situation feel completely normal. They took the time to explain the different services and options available and helped me decide what would be best for the boys. A few hours later, I received the call that they were ready. When I returned, I was again greeted by Leslie, who actually took the time to tell me how Hudson and Hollister did during their visit and offered some great suggestions for maintaining them between appointments. That personal feedback meant so much to me. And then came another little detail that deserves its own recognition: they let me pay BEFORE bringing Hudson and Hollister back out! THANK YOU! Anyone who has ever tried to pay a bill, schedule another appointment, hold two excited Golden Retrievers, keep them from greeting every person within a 20-foot radius, and maintain their dignity at the same time will understand why this deserves five stars all by itself. When the boys came out, they looked and smelled INCREDIBLE. More importantly, they were happy. You could tell from the way the staff interacted with them both when I dropped them off and when I picked them up that the affection they showed Hudson and Hollister was genuine. There is just such a positive, authentic feeling at L & L Puppy Patch. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot until the moment we left, I felt welcomed, the boys were loved, and I knew I had found our new place. I am incredibly grateful to have found L & L Puppy Patch right here in Godley. Hudson and Hollister will absolutely be back -- although I apologize in advance for their entrance. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my boys and for making this very protective dog dad feel completely comfortable leaving them in your care. That means more to me than you probably realize!

Our two miniature Aussies just spent the week with the Puppy Palace team. After visiting several…read morelocal dog boarding places in the Cleburne area, we decided on Puppy Palace. Their facility was clean, the staff was so nice, and the kennel space our dogs would be in was so much bigger. The fencing where they would run and play was very secure with a cement base under iron fencing. No way they could dig out. Yes, this facility was a drive for us, but it was a perfect fit for our super-active dogs. After a week of boarding, our babies came home clean. I am so sad that we didn't find this place sooner, they have the neatest cement pond that the dogs can splash and play in during warmer weather. We will definitely be bringing our dogs here for future vacations. The owners are currently working on a beautiful expansion with several new buildings and outside spaces for larger dogs. With all the large trees on the property, and the central gazebo, this is a beautiful and calm place. So very happy to have found Puppy Palace! Thank you Lisa, Victoria and Madison for making this such a great experience.

Extremely disappointed in this place and the new workers. They have THE WORST customer service. I…read morestood in the lobby for 20 min waiting for someone to check my pup in. Had to then go inside the dog area all the way to the back where she was washing a dog. Then told me my dogs rabies was expired however we had just got them(someone must've typed it in wrong) went all the way home to bring papers to prove so. On another occasion the new workers left my 8 month newly neutered INSIDE dog, outside all day on a 95°. Call that animal cruelty? And on a third occasion mind you these are all back to back incidents not even a week apart. On a third occasion they unlawfully kept my dog overnight because they "are in the process of changing their hours" ???? Who doesn't tell you that FIRST and foremost and doesn't notify you or probably any other ppl? Or give you a heads up ? She texted us at around 4/4:20pm hey we close at 4:45 ? We were an hour away and because on their website and MULTIPLE SIGNS posted outside were under the impression they closed at 6 then WITHOUT OUR CONSENT kept him overnight. Yes there is laws to this - "Under Texas Health and Safety Code Section 824.003, a kennel or boarding facility cannot leave a dog unattended overnight without an employee present unless you are given a specific written notice and you sign a document consenting to it." Then when I went to pick him the next morning and asked to speak with a boss or owner she said they won't be here till later I tried explaining the laws and such she interrupted me and said "just take ur dog and go" ... wow !!! Mind you before the new workers we've brought our pup here since April almost 5 times a week and absolutely loved it , the workers were so welcoming and loving it felt almost like family and he loved playing with all the pups and spending time there. What a shame this place has turn to.
