Of course, a bar is available (of course!) but tee-totallers who enjoy a game of pool are sure to be entertained with over 20 tables available to punters. Unfortunately, as with most pool halls I've encountered (a lot of them that have been Rileys, in fact) it does seem a bit dark and dingy in there - and, given the nature of the place, it does attract large groups of males. I've never encountered trouble in there but a couple of times have received looks off the kind of naughty boys mommy warned me not to play with. Still, people generally keep themselves to themselves and the bar staff are friendly - reasonable pint prices too, so a more than decent way to kill an hour or two when the city's more visceral thrills don't appeal.

It is a large hall and can be relatively empty at times. I've played snooker here quite a few times and you find that you can be immersed in your game, uninterrupted for hours. It has a lot of loyal customers from around Stirchley, so there is lots of camaraderie and great deal respect for the club. You'll rarely find any nonsense going on there. Essentially, It's a friendly local with lots of snooker tables. I've watched an England game there, and on one of the occasions where we actually won a match, me and my mates played snooker all afternoon in celebration of a very rare victory. It's normally quite busy without ever being packed and is significantly cheaper than other less-well furnished snooker clubs around the area. They charge per amount played so you dont have to worry about ticking over on to the next hour and the drinks and snacks are very reasonably priced. There is sufficient parking although because it's near traffic lights it can be difficult to get on to the front because of the queues.

They have great brightly coloured lighting that works well with the high end finish of the decor. Great seating options and a huge bar. Inside, the wall are covered in old photographs of people playing snooker, and the hall has remained pretty much exactly the same since then, apart from now being full of tables and chairs. Billard Hall seems as though it is the most popular boozer in West Bromwich, and it's understandable why, when you realise how low drinks prices are. Compared to the usual Wetherspoon's in Brum City Centre, a sailor jerry and coke costs me around the £3 mark. Here, the same drink cost £2.05; I was amazed when the staff told me the price! Because the pub is so popular, all of the tables were occupied pretty quickly on my visit. Luckily, the locals are very friendly, and asked me and my friend if we wanted to sit on the chairs at their table.
