Very unhappy with the house we rented this week. We arrived last Saturday to a mountain of trash that had not been picked up, filthy carpets when we walked in, flies everywhere because of the trash, broken table on the deck, shabby furniture, uncomfortable beds etc. The list is pretty long. No inside lock on the front door. Very dangerous with little children. House only has 6 lounge chairs. Definitely will not rent from Sandbridge Blue again. We have been coming here for over 20 years. My family and I just rented Wish Upon A Star in Sandbridge and we were beyond disappointed. I will review the house as well as the property mngmt company, Sandbridge Blue, but AVOID this property. It is NOT worth what you pay. First, the house. We paid a little more than 14k to stay from June 22-29, 2024. The furniture is incredibly cheap and uncomfortable. This place feels like a short term rental as opposed to a comfortable/homey property. Many of the mattresses are stained and none had mattresses protectors. There were layers of dirt/dust in the rattan furniture in the family room and in the vents (please note rattan furniture is being used as main furniture). There were stains on the walls (bathroom, kitchen, stairways,bedrooms), and it is clear/evident the house is in poor condition. There were cobwebs EVERYWHERE. The stove is dated and the bathrooms need a complete overhaul. The water on the fridge didn't even work and we were never notified in advance. We constantly experienced issues with sinks and showers backing up even after maintenance came out mid-trip. The sliding doors need to be replaced and constantly go off track. We enjoyed the layout of the main floor and the kids enjoyed the pool. However, the volleyball area has not been tended to and had rocks/pine cones all over it. Second, the property mngmt company. We have rented from Sandbridge Blue in the past and when we reported issues re the cleanliness of the property on this trip, they immediately offered to send someone over but I was not about to displace 20 people so a proper cleaning, which should have been done before we arrived, could be completed. I acknowledge 2 or 3 property mngmt companies have a monopoly on summer rentals in Sandbridge but I would like to understand what recommendations these mngmt companies make to property owners and whether rental rates are adjusted if owners do not tend to the homes. The items I'm complaining about in 2024 sound eerily familiar to reviews from 2020. The bedding and towels were cheap and uncomfortable, pillows were torn and feathers were busting out of them. There were dust bunnies and hair in the hinges of bedroom doors! The kitchen was one of the worst stocked I've ever experienced (we had to purchase a blender). Had we paid $5-7k for the week, I wouldn't have been upset (aside from the dirtiness). But after paying more than 14k, the property owners and Sandbridge Blue should be embarrassed at the condition and price point of this house. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend using Sandbridge Blue again knowing the condition of their rentals and the price point. read more

Stayed at the Serendipity place rented by this company. The place we stayed at had black mold, and in desperate need for repairs. One of the doors DOES NOT LOCK!!! This place was absolutely not safe for children. I notified management during our stay, but they did not contact us till after we left. They did not seem to care, and I highly recommend staying away from any properties owned by this company. I have dozens of photos showing the mold and the poor state of the house and you cannot capture in picture how bad the first floor smelled. read more

The carpets in the whole house were filthy. Also the back screened porch was full of sand and were not clean. There were cob webs all over the back deck. In addition the linens needed to be replaced 5 years ago. The beds were not as comfortable as a 7000 per week place could be. In addition we didn't have back yard access from the back of the house. We had to go out front and walk to the pool. The washer broke but it was fixed one day later. The management company's response to the issues left little to be desired. They'll likely respond here but frankly that's the only way they respond. If they focused on their customers and cleanliness checklists ahead of time and set some standards then myself and about 15 other families would have likely had an amazing experience and come back another time. We had a blast but will avoid this realty company on future visits. . read more

Do not rent from this agency. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. The home was in disrepair but the worst was the black mold found in the home. When we brought the issue up to the agency with detailed notes and photos, instead of addressing, offering a credit, or even sincere apologies, they claimed we were just trying to get money back. They have nerve charging the amount that they are for this house, as the home and level of service are not in line with those rates. read more

Sandbridge Blue Going to Sandbridge Virginia on a vacation. If so, avoid any property managed by Sandbridge Blue Realty. We stayed at a large beach front property that was in horrible shape. All bathrooms had black mold growing on the caulk. Appliances were a mess with broken shelves and drawers. The gas grill was beyond dirty and disgusting and they had to send someone to completely take it apart and also to bring a tank of propane to replace an empty. Non-working and rusted light fixtures, holes in ceiling and more. When we communicated these issues the response was basically that these properties take a beating from renters. Well excuse me, a property management company is supposed to inspect each property after a rental and prepare it for the next renter. And by the way black mold is not the result of renters, it represents horrible maintenance and basic health and safety concerns. Find another company to rent from in Virginia. read more

Do not stay at any of their properties. This company is horrible. We arrived a little after 7pm and we found the following in the vacation home. - Toe nails, sand and other particles in the sheets. - Comforters and sheets had stains in them. - Towels (multiple) had hair on them. - The pillows had stains in them. - The grill was so disgusting and dirty. - We found sand on the floors and the floors were dirty. - I have pictures of everything and filed complaints with the BBB and OAG. - Kathy Davis the Manager was horrible. She was suppose to follow up with me but didn't until days later only after I kept asking the staff. - The wifi in the vacation rental was horrible. - The house was leaking really bad from the shower on the top floor to the point where my great nephew fell. Sandbridge Blue has been unprofessional and all around RUDE. Since we booked the trip months out, we had been requesting an early check in and we were told ask long as we request a couple days out it would not be a problem. We kept contacting them, like they told us to, and when we arrived to check in the home was not ready. That was not the issue, the issue was the attitude we received when calling to find out when we can check in and them saying we needed to request an early check in, in advance. After being here for a day, our air conditioning went out. Instead of offering to accommodate us during this 90+ degree weather they just told us that they will get to it when they can, fortunately they were able to get it taken care of within two days, but the internal temperature of the home jumped to 90 degrees so when it was too hot outside we could not even come indoors to cool down. Finally, probably the most upsetting thing, is the fact that two days after our arrival, the pool started to turn green. There is a thick green film on the top of the pool along with green gassy looking bubbles on top. It really looks like something you would see in a chemical plant. Sandbridge Blue refused to send someone out to treat it since they claim someone had been out every day to treat it. After having been yelled at in their office by Kathy, we decided to purchase our own pool test kit only to find out none of the levels are safe. All around I would NEVER recommend this company to my worst enemy. They are unprofessional and unaccommodating. We were unable to use our pool for 5 of the 7 days that we stayed and they did not care to help us. read more

MOLD ALERT!! Upon entering the Sea Moose SF3260 property for the first time Saturday late afternoon, there was a STRONG earthy, musty odor. We contacted Sandbrige Blue early the next morning to inform them of this issue. Even though we told them it was a suspected mold issue, they sent an HVAC person (from their own maintenance team) to investigate. We were left a note that said the dehumidifier was full and the smell should go away in a few hours. The smell did not go away. I contacted them again with no response. We contacted a mold remediation company to come out but unfortunately they could not get there before our stay was to end. I took multiple photos of the black mold inside the home (that we could see!) and the mold under the deck where the pool was leaking. I tried to resolve internally with the rental company only to be told they would not deal with blackmail or threats. I don't think alerting them to a potential health problem and various other major structural issues and trying to get them handle internally was such a bad thing. We had several family members with respiratory issues that flared up during the stay. Sandbridge Blue claims to have hired a mold remediation compony and that due to the results, they were closing this inquiry out. They did not share the results with me which would have been the transparent thing to do. I asked for a partial refund because of their breach of contract in not providing a fit and habitable rental. Sandbridge Blue left me with no choice but to contact the Virginia Dept of Health, Social media reviews and to file a breach of contract suit through the City of Virginia Beach. I see there was also a concern from a fellow traveler as far back as July 2022. If they would address and correct these issues, the house would be a wonderful place to vacation in Sandbridge! read more

This is the worst company I've ever seen. Don't rent dont go, don't work with them. Think about it they charged most expensive houses. We didn't have 4 days hot water in the house. We try to reach manager, nobody responded. After response they said they couldn't reach company manager. After all we reached house owner, he came, he said hot water machine was burned, also he said he didn't reach to company too. After all manager called us, he said he is going to refund some of days and they didn't. His e mail very very unprofessional and unethical ( lie others ) I hope you will lose your business. Sandbridge Blue only cares about the money!!!! I am a prior condo property owner on the beach and know of the challenge, expenses, and maintenance required to keep a rental property up to par. We also have rented multiple beach houses and condos in the past. We are very experienced beach travelers. We have relatives local to VA Beach and drove by the property numerous times before we occupied the property. E-mails and phones calls went unanswered in regards to trash, deck condition/railings, and various items that weren't up to par from the outside view of the property. We called again several days before we were going to occupy the property because many of these items weren't addressed. The day we checked in there was a staff member doing a partial clean up job around the property, but none of the other items that we pointed out. We were checked into a property with a known A/C unit that needed repair and were NOT told beforehand. When we contacted Kathy after we noticed the main A/C unit wasn't working, we were assured that someone in our party was contacted and told about it. This is a lie. My phone number was on the contract along with my address, email etc. We had my mother in laws name as a local contact. They didn't want to talk with me since it was her name on the contract. They had no problems cashing my checks. Their solution was to have 3 portable A/C units place in 2 bedrooms and one in the living area on the ground floor. It wasn't until the upstairs A/C unit failed that we were able to obtain several more temporary window units to help hold the temperature to a low roasting oven. We were told that the main A/C unit was broken, and that warranty parts were on order and could only be shipped from the manufacturer or the warranty on the units would be voided. We received a lot of lip service from the management, with no real solution to move properties for our wedding party until we were beyond the point of no return. All our guests were there, extra tables etc for the wedding delivered. We had no choice but to stick it out. We even called out a service repair man to repair the upstairs A/C unit and paid for it out of our pocket because no one was sent until after the management company learned that we weren't waiting for their service man. The A/C service company we hired said that there was a massive leak in the 2nd unit, and normal maintenance would of identified and had this problem resolved. We had freon added to a leaking unit so we would have A/C at least through our wedding. We informed the management company that the unit had not been serviced recently or had been maintained. Their A/C man showed up early evening and never repaired this unit at all. They had our knowledge that there was a leak in this unit. Granted it was a very hot week in VA Beach, but the A/C units on the Sands of Time property were not up to par. Even when the bottom unit was finally repaired almost before the end of our stay, it was not able to fully cool the house. We had guests depart because of the temperature issues. Some other things about our stay: Upon checking in we noticed linens weren't changed on several beds, and we took it upon ourselves to wash and clean the linens. Multiple bath tubs were backed up with old clogs, ice maker and water dispenser not working on the refrigerator, deck boards still lifted and not secure, railings loose (code violation) with protruding nails, 3 more bags of trash removed around the property, deck furniture rusted and broken, pool liner torn, non working gate lock on the pool gate (code violation)...the list goes on and on. The deck items were bandaged, more chairs brought in, tubs unclogged and the railing was partially repaired. The remainder of the items we received lip service on. It reminded me of the old story my grandpa use to tell, Lipstick on a Pig. This was a new listing for Sandbridge Blue, and they obviously didn't do due diligence in ensuring the property was up for habitation. We were assured that the owner was going to refund us money even before we had guests leave early because of the condition of the property. We were told $1500.00 for the A/C issues. We were reminded that they are a rental company, not a property management company. Well we received a whopping $1482.00 for our guests leaving early, but nothing for compensation of all the issues we encountered during our stay. This was even after we had a meeting with the manger and conferenced in the VP from a remote office. Sandbridge Blue couldn't have been more difficult to deal with. If you see this rental company, move on, they obviously have a long way to go to learn how to manage properties, their business, and ensure their guests have a great stay. read more

Sandbridge Blue is new competition for the two established vacation rental companies in Sandbridge that have been there for about 50 years and they are definitely a cut above. I have stayed with the sister company Outer Banks Blue a few times and never been disappointed, and these folks have taken the same customer service and business model to Sandbridge with great results. Sheets and towels included at no extra charge. Keyless entry to all of their homes so you don't have to go to the office on check in day, and their website is really easy to use. I'm working with them on a wedding gathering at one of their houses in 2012 and they have been fantastic to work with. Charlie and Kathy are outstanding. They aren't as big as Sandbridge Realty or Siebert, but they if they have a house that fits your needs you should definitely use these guys! read more

Friendly and on top of things, great company and great people! They include small touches like a welcome bag for guests and towels rolled on the bed (makes you feel like you are at a resort). I've had good experiences with them over the past three years as someone on the outside looking in. If I could give this organization a zero I would. They say they provide "Blue Ribbon" customer service yet their actions tell a different story. I had booked a vacation property for June of 2020 and then the Covid-19 pandemic occurred. Due to Executive Orders enacted by the Governor of Ohio, along with the "at risk" members of our party which includes two cancer survivors, I cancelled the reservation. The property was re-booked a few weeks later at a "discount." The discount was funded from my original deposit on the property, leaving my refund a mere $2K instead of the $5K I was expecting. In my communications with Tim Cafferty of Sandbridge Blue, I was informed that Covid-19 was not a valid reason to cancel a reservation and that there was nothing he could do. This was even after I had offered to pay the balance of $7K on the property if I could move the reservation to the following year. The process I went through with the VA AG's office resulted in nothing favorable for my case. Their process is completely voluntary, and although they were sympathetic, they have absolutely no authority to render any type of judgement. Why they even have a process I do not know. After some research of this company, I discovered they, along with their sister company Outer Banks Blue, have been the recipients of PPP Funds from the Federal Government as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The company that touts their "Blue Ribbon" service gets money because of Covid-19 but customers cannot get refunds on cancellations due to Covid-19. This company cares about only one thing: their money. Their cavalier attitude regarding the health and welfare of their customers is despicable. Their heart lies in their wallet. read more

We just returned home from our annual vacation from Sandbridge. We have been visiting Sandbridge for nearly 40 years. This was our first experience dealing with Sandbridge Blue Realty. They were awesome to deal with. We had previously dealt with one of their well established competitors. In 2021 we had a terrible experience with a house and the competitor would not even come to the house to observe the multiple problems, We stopped at Sandbridge Blue and talked with Kathy Davis. We booked "Shore Relaxin" for our 2022 vacation. It was an amazing week. We had a minor issue with the grill and they immediately brought out a new grill and resolved the issue. Everyone that we had contact with at Sandbridge Blue was just amazing to deal with. The house was remarkably clean as promised. Kathy Davis personally came to the house to make sure everything was in order. There was a beautiful basket of fruits and vegetables for us to enjoy during our stay. During our stay we booked "Shore Relaxin" for our 2023 vacation. They are a smaller company and they are truly concerned that their guests have a wonderful vacation. The Worst realators, the reviews are all true. Rented "Hawaiian Palace" and it was a disaster. The place was NOT cleaned or ready for guests. it smelled stale and musty, blood on the sheets, sand on the sheets, tv's not working, Internet was very poor, refrigerator smelled of fish, vents were filthy and filled with dust, ceiling fans had dust over an inch thick, air conditioners not working, Elevator kept getting stuck. Door handles broke off, outdoor furniture filthy, never cleaned, HOT TUB Broke, Gate to pool broke, Deck wood rotted, benches broke off in gazebo, dining room table glass was broke in half, chair was broke (found out when we tried to sit on it and fell. Flood lights stayed on all night shining into all the downstairs bedrooms. No one made us aware that the only way to get from the first floor to the second floor was down a small spiral stair case (or the elevator that was not dependable). NO STEPS. They sent carpenters in the middle of the week that spent all day sawing, drilling, hammering so we could not put out children for naps and had they scared. We could not use outside of the house. The list goes on and on. When I asked for some kind of compensation, they just laughed, and said we fixed everything on your list. Our entire week was spend trying to get in touch with them, trying to get repairs done, following up. They acted concerned but it was all a front. My phone has text messages and emails daily from them but NO one would talk to me or even showed any consideration. They are a Joke. Stick with Seibert Realty or Sandbridge Realty, This was my first and last time with them. It would help if there was an Instruction manuel on how to use this home. Flood lights were on all night, we had no idea how to turn them off they were right outside 4 bedrooms. In it's day it must have been a beautiful home, but I'd be shocked if the owners knew how the realtor was keeping it maintained properly. After weeks of emails and complaints, they offered me $400.00 credit. What a slap in the face. It ruined our $8,000.00 family vacation. read more

Do not use this company while visiting sandbridge. We always used Siebert who will be the only ones we ever deal with! 1. We had a certified bed bug tech with who found bed bugs. We called the management company who told us what we found were bed bugs but then reported back to the company that they were not so the company said there was nothing they could do and hung up mid-call! 2. They had rotting floor in the downstairs covered up that our child fell through. No one came to repair. 3. My 25 lb 2 year old sat on a picnic table and it collapsed beneath him. Reported and no one took the damaged table from the property. 4. Description said boat doak and there was nowhere on their small dock to tie the boat of that we hauled all the way from florida. One of the only reasons we took this DISGUSTING house. If you want to spend $6-$7k and bring your 92 grandmother and 1 and 2 year olds with your family, use that money somewhere else, if not for any other reason than their safety!!!! read more

The property we rented was not fairly described in the listing, and it was in disrepair. Railings had just been replaced, but not painted, the freezer never worked despite us calling Sandbridge Blue and reporting the problem, the couch had a broken back, the comforters on the bed had clearly not been washed in a long time, and the house had barn swallows in the garage port that pooped everywhere and would dive bomb you if you got too close. The barn swallows were a big problem as you had to go by them to get to the garbage cans, something should be done to prevent them from building nests in the rafters. In addition, we experienced a extreme lack of communication from the management company when we left an item behind. I realize we left it, but it was 4 days of calling them a few times a day before they told us that they didn't find it, I don't think they even looked. We have rented from other companies in Sandbridge in the past and have had better homes and better management companies. read more

We have been coming to Sandbridge for about 30 years now. For several years we stayed at Blue Ocean. We switched houses because Blue Ocean was becoming run down. The house we usually now stay in was unavailable this year, and it looked like Blue Ocean was fixed up and under new management, so we thought we would try it again. While it still could use some updating, the room set up served our needs well this year. But the cleaning crew was awful. There are ants in the kitchen. The outside shower and pool area hadn't been touched. There were clumps of hair around the pool deck. And when we went to grill one night the propane was empty. As much as we pay for this week, I would expect to not have hair around the pool, ants in the kitchen, or an empty propane tank for the grill. read more

We rented a relatively expensive house through Sandbridge Realty Services. In this three story house there were two grills- one on the top floor by the kitchen and one by the pool. On the night when we arrived NONE worked. We were all very hungry, could not cook dinner and had to order pizza. The staff was NOT helpful accept for letting us know of the name of a pizza place around. The next afternoon the maintenance guy arrived. He said that he could NOT light the grill by the pool and he will speak to the owner. No one contacted and updated us on this again. When I asked their Rental Manager Kathy if there is any compensation for this inconvenience (we did want to cook by the pool and not go to the third floor to cook while by the pool), she basically called me a liar by saying that the current guests who rented the house after us have not reported any problems... I asked her for the maintenance report during our stay and her response was "I don't have time for this." Kathy also said that we need to pay addition $100 cleaning fee because our dogs made a mess in places. Well, the house is rented as Pet friendly and dogs do make mess sometimes, especially when its rainy outside... This, in my opinion, is already included in all the fees for the house. The whole experience was horrible... While I was planning to rent another property in this location for next year, I will NEVER rent it from this company. read more

Our family rented a home through Sandbridge Blue Realty the week over July 4th. The house, "The Holiday" was not nearly as nice as the online pictures showed it to be. The afternoon we arrived we had to spend over an hour cleaning up the outside living area to make it safe for our four and two year olds to be able to play. There were beer bottle caps, broken plastic cups, broken glass and trash on the ground, not to mention tons of cigarette butts which were also on the upstairs, enclosed porch. The cabinet that housed the pool table and other game supplies was open and the contents were spilled out all over the ground. The inside of the house was worn, there was no filter in the air unit and the grate was off, a portion of the screen on the porch was torn off and flapping in the wind, the electrical outlets pushed in when you attempted to plug something in and often you could not keep things plugged in. Wifi was very weak. Several sinks were VERY slow to drain and backup came up while the water was going down. A kitchen drawer dropped down when you pulled it out to get the silverware. The entire house is showing a great deal of wear. Outside, sand needs to be removed from the driveway and walkways. It is impossible to walk in the house without taking sand with you. We ran out of propane our last night there, only having used the grill, which was dirty upon arrival, one time. The house was not kept well or decorated with any kind of care. The only good things we can say about the house is that the pool is a nice size and the location is good. Our family has rented beach or lake houses every year for the last 25 years. The house was not cheap, but was by far, the most disappointing experience we have had. We all had long trips to get to VA Beach, coming from Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Georgia and Pennsylvania. We have done much better renting from sites like VRBO than going through Sandbridge Blue. We did call Sandbridge Blue our second day there as more and more issues came to light. They sent someone over right away and he was very nice. He semi-fixed the drawer falling out in the kitchen and looked at our plumbing issues, the screen and outlets. They were to send someone to fix the drains and screen, but never did. A second maintenance man came the next day and brought two extension cords to help with the outlet problems. While they showed up quickly, very little was addressed and we spent the week with the problems we faced when we arrived, for the exception of what we cleaned up on our own. We don't want anyone else to have the experience that we had on our vacation. We can not encourage anyone to rent through their service. Aug. 2013 We had 16 people stay in " Good Company". The home was gorgeous and very clean. We had a problem with the garbage disposal, Stephen came and fixed the problem in a very timely manner. The home is not oceanfront but the canal just steps away was a big hit with all the fisherman in the family. My family annually celebrates family and gets together for a reunion. Our family is spread across the United States and changes the location of the reunion to spread the travel and enjoy new places. We have an upcoming reservation in Virginia Beach on April 16th -20th with the SANDBRIDGE BLUE REALTY. Of course, we are sadden and devastated by not holding this reunion during the Covid outbreak understanding that safety before fun is most important. This is an annual family event that is looked forward by all involved. SANDBRIDGE BLUE REALTY refuses to refund the rental fees as they state during this "unprecedented event". Family was to fly in from all over the country. Why is it that the airlines are extremely compassionate and even encourage those that are elderly to cancel their trip but SANDBRIDGE BLUE REALTY has zero Covid cancellation policy. Instead, if we "choose to cancel" they would reopen the week. If the week is rebooked by another vacationer, we would ONLY be charged the cancellation fee of $250 plus tax. If it is not rebooked we would loose the amount paid. This is a horrible company, not concerned for health or well being of others. How unfortunate for my family who chose a new spot to celebrate our reunion this year with a subpar, money grubbing company, SANDBRIDGE BLUE REALTY. read more

Sandbridge Blue's unofficial stance regarding the Coronavirus pandemic is that they will not be issuing refunds unless the state government (Real Estate Commission) requires them to do so. We rented a large house for a large family vacation (over 20 people). Recently the Federal government has issued guidelines to restrict occupancy to under 10 people, domestic travel has been compromised, and people are losing their jobs. We purchased the optional insurance that we thought would protect us from unforeseen circumstances. Apparently the insurance doesn't cover global pandemics. When I contacted Sandbridge Blue they informed me that they are unable to issue refunds unless the Real Estate Commission tells them that they can. This is misleading. What they are really saying is "we will not give you your money back unless the state government makes us". I would like to think that a company that cares for its community during a time of crisis would have a more ethical and sympathetic approach. read more

We enjoyed our stay at Sandbridge Beach. The office staff was very responsive to our needs. There were a few things I would change: 1. I would like it if they would make a policy if someone calls before 2, then their issue should be taken care of the same day, Any request we made took 24 hours to resolve. 2. There was no pre-call to let me know someone was on the way they just showed up and we heard a knock. 3. When one of the repair gentlemen came to unstop the sink, he mentioned he was their earlier in the week to clean the pool. I think a note should have been left behind so we know someone was there. We always use rental companies to rent beach houses. I would give this rental an average score. 4. When I made the reservation, on m booking there was an option for an earl check in. I paid my $150 but a couple days before we were to arrive I was told this house was not available for early check in. 5. When we pulled up to the house at 4:05 (check in is at 4pm.) the cleaners were seen leaving the house. I think there should be some time management used when you know the check in is at 4pm. No one wants to see folks coming out of the house when they are pulling up. read more

My wife and I decided to use Sandbridge Blue this year for our annual trip to Virginia Beach. Everything went well for the week we were down there. The house we stayed in was ok. On one of the last days there, my wife decided to take our oldest daughter into the hot tub with her while I fished off the dock. It was only a couple days after we returned home that they both noticed they had a rash in the same spots on their sides. Apparently it was from dirty hot tub water. My wife emailed the company within a week of finding this out, only to be ignored for almost a month. When the woman finally responded and basically blamed us for the dirty hot tub. Needless to say, we will not be using this company in the future. Very disappointed in the way my wife was treated and judging from a couple other reviews, we weren't the only ones to receive poor service. read more

We were so excited to get married on the beach and booked a condo through this company. The photos online were lovely! When we arrived with our entire family (including 2 babies and a toddler) we were shocked at how dirty the condo was. The babies were dirty from crawling on the carpet. The outside patio was the most disgusting patio I've ever seen, with hundreds of spiders and webs and dirt all over the walls, floor, ceiling, and furniture. Gross! The hand towels left on the sink for us were also dirty. Sooooo disappointing after a long day of travel to arrive to this! We immediately contacted them and they put in a work order. Someone arrived to clean the patio on day 2 or 3, but we had already lost use for part of our vacation, which is unfortunate. They didn't do anything about the carpet, but it could have used a deep cleaning. We asked for some sort of refund since we paid an OBSCENE amount of money for this place and expected perfection for that amount of money. They of course claimed they did what they could and offered nothing. I would never recommend this company! If you're going to charge $4k a week for a beach condo, you should make sure its pristine and if it isn't you should do whatever it takes to make your paying customer happy. I want to warn everyone to stay away and spend your cash with a much more reputable company. read more

We know this won't stay on your face book page but we needed to say something about your realty company. You don't stand by your word when it comes to keeping your rental's clean in The Sandbridge Dunes Condo's. We rented a very expensive 3 bedroom condo called the Hawks Nest last week for a week. When we walked in first glance it was beautiful, gorgeous view. After looking closer it hadn't been cleaned. The bathrooms had hair all over the floor and in the corners and the carpets in the bathroom were filthy. The bath tubs were never cleaned. Our feet got black from walking on the ceramic tile floors.The kitchen floor had food still on it. Nothing was dusted. We had ants in the living room and had to go down to Home Depot to buy ant killer. The roll out couch sheets were filthy hadn't even been change. We tried to call Blue Ridge but the answer machine said only in case of emergency to call a certain number. So before we could put anything away, all of us had to clean this expensive condo, wash the bathroom and kitchen carpets, mop the floors 2 times but still was dirty. The air condition vent for the air out take hadn't been changed in months. It was caked in dust so thick the vent was full of dust. It is obvious they don't live up to how clean their condo's are kept. When we called them first thing Monday morning the lady was rude and said right away we don't give any money back. Wasn't even concerned about the reason for the call. We never asked for money back. We told her we tried to call on Saturday and she called us a liar and said you can get us 24 hours a day and that is not true because it says call for only the three emergencies they mention.They never called back after Monday. So we called again on Thursday, got a nicer lady that time. She said she would send it up to management. So it is obvious the first call on Monday went no where. Someone called my daughter on Thursday afternoon and said she had to go to a meeting and would call back that day. We haven't heard anything since. So we decided to go on every web page we can. Including Trip Advisor and all other vacation sites to tell our story. We were treated badly and no one should have to pay thousands of dollars for a condo vacation and have to clean it yourself, while they sit back and do nothing. We the Consumer Gets the Last Word when it comes to being mistreated. read more

We have stayed in one particular home for the past 10 years (at first, it was managed by Sandbridge Realty) and, for the past two years, it has been managed by Sandbridge Blue Realty. Generally, we have been pleased with Sandbridge Blue. However, we feel strongly, after only two years of dealing with them, the way in which they communicate with the client is not helpful, unprofessional and are not available if it is not to their advantage. We might have known better, but they never told us that they did not give the right of first refusal to the renters of the house from one year to the next (we had been accustomed to that service with Sandbridge Realty). Their policies are distinctly different from the first realty company (in fact, it is first come, first serve ... money rules and you have to leave a deposit in the spring before you have ever experienced renting the house). In our case, we were not aware of the policy, so we wrote a text the Thursday before we left the house, requesting to stay in the house the same week in 2018; Beth who manages our account only contacted us by phone when we had already left the house and were returning home from our vacation ... probably to avoid talking to us in person. We had intended to stop and talk to them, but an enormous rainstorm hit at the time of departure and we, at that point, were anxious to return home. We feel that they were unethical in their dealings with us and that they are more interested in money than in giving any sort of satisfaction to the renter. The right of first refusal is a common ethical practice among realty companies. If Sandbridge Blue does not want to do that, it's fine. However, they should definitely advise their clients that this is not their practice and make clear what is their practice. As Beth told my husband today (only after being told a week ago that the only two weeks that we can come to Sandbridge, our house is rented): first come, first serve - in the spring. When in the "spring," Beth ...When????? A date would have been more than helpful. read more

The property we rented was lovely. However, the promised hot tub had not been installed by our vacation date. When I checked in at the office, a nice young lady apologized and explained we would be receiving (via mail) a $200 refund for the advertised hot tub that was not at the rental. When I sent an email to discuss receipt timing on my check, I received a return phone call from Cindy. She explained they DO NOT ever refund money and that was in my contract. I explained that her staff was responsible for telling me we should expect $200. She told me I could use it as a credit toward another property rental. When I explained we live in Va Beach and this was a one time thing, she was still unwilling to discuss this matter and she was insincere in her apology. She was completely unwilling to send us the $200 as committed by her team. As a business owner myself, that is not only poor customer service, it's also a complete sign that Cindy does not back up her staff's commitments. Be very wary of Sandbridge Realty. I definitely suggest Siebert as an alternate rental company. read more
