Welp - Looks like I need to find a new eye doctor!…read more On February 20, I visited Eye Associates of Hollywood and saw Dr. Garcia. She was great, kind, energetic, and finally gave me a diagnosis that explained what had been going on with my eyes. I felt hopeful after that visit. After completing the 10-day treatment, my eyes were better still not right after I stopped. I called the office on March 11 and left a voicemail. I eventually received a call back and was told to continue treatment and come back in sooner, so I scheduled a follow-up for March 30. I also asked for a refill on my eye drops and was told it would be called into my pharmacy. That never happened. I called again and left another voicemail. No response. I waited about a week, called again, and still no response and no prescription called in. At that point, I had no way to continue the treatment I was told to follow and my follow up appt was approaching. Today, Friday March 27, I received a call from Jose asking if I was keeping my Monday March 30 appointment. I explained the situation and said that would depend on the doctor wants, since I had not been able to continue treatment due to the prescription never being sent in. Instead of addressing the issue, he repeatedly asked if I wanted to cancel. When I asked about the cancellation policy, he said there would be a fee if not within 24 hours, so I told him to cancel. When I asked for his name, he avoided answering and kept talking. I had to ask multiple times before he finally said his name was Jose and started spelling it even though I didn't ask for it. The interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily frustrating. I'm not going to lie, he pissed me off. Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. The doctor seemed great - although I didn't know my condition was chronic until I looked it up on the internet. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and unprofessional front office experience completely undermined the care. It is unacceptable to leave a patient without access to prescribed treatment and then push them to keep an appointment anyway. Very disappointing.

My girlfriend was very upset wanted an eye doctor, we looked online to see if there were any local doctors who could take her right away. We were so lucky to find Dr. Smith, who was kind enough to fit her in and take us on a late Friday afternoon. Not only did he find the eye not to be infected, it was an inflammation on the inside. That probably would have been misdiagnosed anywhere else . He has a really new nice office in a new building, its all set back from itself and other offices it also has a parking garage and room to park a car . I will say he is really nice guy and patient friendly, along with being accommodating, he answered all the questions we asked and made us feel very comfortable, but most of all..prescribed the right medicine, gave us a few options for future, & my girlfriends inflammation is almost gone. I have been a patient of Dr. Wolfe for about eight years now. It started when I went to an…read moreoptometrist for a regular eye exam. She told me I had closed angles which I had never heard of. She told me she could not see me and referred me to the an ophthalmologist. That opthamologist gave me the same diagnosis. I was not happy with his bedside manner. Besides that, I wanted another opinion from an opthamologist. So, I ended up seeing Dr. Wolfe. He diagnosed the same thing. He suggested that I have an LPI surgery. I had 20/20 vision but this is something that is not detectable by me, did not affect my vision. I would have never known about this had I not gone for semi regular eye exams. So make sure you go for your eye exam because you never know. Anyway, Dr. Wolfe did an excellent job of opening my angles. He explained every step of the way to me. He has steady hands and while it was no picnic, it was bearable. And let me tell you....I am a big baby! I don't even like to get blood drawn let alone anything to do with my eyes. I go for yearly check-ups to make sure everything is still okay and hopefully it will continue to be. He's very professional and speaks on a level that I feel comfortable with. Sometimes doctors like to talk in a way that is very sophisticated with their medical terms. I recommend him for a regular exam or hopefully nobody needs a surgery like I did.

Three weeks ago, I had a full eye examination with Dr. Wise, an ophthalmologist (MD) in Florida. Since I have worn glasses since high school, all I needed at this visit was a new prescription after losing my glasses. Last year, I also had a full exam at LensCrafters in Aventura, where the front desk clearly explained all costs and insurance coverage before my appointment. That visit was handled transparently and professionally. At MyEyeDr, however, the front desk did not explain what my insurance would or would not cover. During my appointment, a technician took retinal images without informing me that this would result in a $44 charge. I should have been told in advance and given the choice to decline. In addition, I was charged $140 for a contact lens fitting that was never discussed with me beforehand. The optometrist attempted multifocal lenses, which did not work for me. I was the one who had to suggest the lens setup I normally use (one lens for distance), and only then did he agree it would work. This left me feeling the fitting was unnecessary and not worth the fee. At checkout, I was presented with a bill of $640 that included these undisclosed charges. I was not prepared for such an amount and chose not to proceed with the purchase. The interaction with the sales associate afterward was uncomfortable and unprofessional. Because I was not informed of these additional services or fees beforehand, I am requesting a refund of the $44 retinal image fee and the $140 contact lens fitting fee. I believe this is a fair resolution given the lack of transparency and communication at my appointment. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your response and resolution.

I visited the office about 6 months ago. I was interested in making minor eye lid adjustment and the doctor was a great salesman in making me feel comfortable and signing up for additional services which I don't really need. In order to schedule a firm date for the procedure I was asked to pay 100% upfront which I did. Once I got home my wife told me that I overpaid - I guess everyone negotiates but I was unaware of this. Oh well. I liked the doctor and he did have 5 stars . My schedule is extremely busy however and I was told that if I need to as long as I provide a reasonable notice I can change my procedure date. As it happened I did have to do just that twice. The second time however things went down hill rather quickly. Even though I apologized and gave reasonable notice I was treated extremely poorly as if they were doing me a favor by providing the procedure I paid for. After I had enough of their condescending language I told them I am done with the drama and they can either rebook me or refund my monies since absolutely no work has been done. Instead I was told that they will refund my money minus penalties and various fees. This in my opinion is a behavior of fraudsters and rogues not medical professionals. Therefore I plan on seeing you in court. I assume I am not the only one that has been mistreated by these rascals. Therefore I welcome others to reach out and join my cause. I am happy to foot the bill for what I consider a righteous cause. Doctors need to hold themselves to a higher standard then just how to make a quick buck. My email is rhe same as my name @gmail.com. I am in agreement there is a problem w/members of the staff (they are the front line -they are good at what they do however a little refresher in public/patient relations is in order) that's when one takes ownership and asks for the doctor call you back direct. Let's remember quality vs quantity. Dr. Braverman is excellent in his field. As he does have ancillary employees, it's a sign of his quality and teachings. Not incompetent in any way, knows what he is doing with out a doubt. Do your research Dr. Braverman is TOP in his field in the state of Florida, New York and the Country.... The Dr. Has written so much he is a skilled clinician as well as an accomplished educator. Not only is one anxious when making these life changing decision one is also in someone else's hands. And for one I am happy to be a witness to such a unique and rare eye condition in the presence of an expert. And fortune to find the authority in Rare Eye Conditions. (Toxoplasmosis) for My dear Friend, Patient Thomas J. Murray I witness nothing but exemplary patient care. In such a serious matter. The doctor saved Mr. Murray's Retina. 14 years later here we are to present. Mr. Murray has returned do to a partially detach cornea related to a bad contact lens experience. Bravo-Dr. Braverman, you have saved his eye again. In closing, if for some reason you are having a financial problem, a treatment problem, or are not following the doctors immaculate treatment orders. STOP don't complain, speak with the Doctor... If by now one does not know waiting will take place in a waiting room, then I can say, you don't want a doctor to pay attention to your very unique and medically over all health!!
