It's the shop's 60th anniversary this year, and they had such great hoodie designs! I'm very picky when buying hoodies, but I picked up a pretty cream-colored one with a simple but aesthetically pleasing design. The quality is thick and durable, and the material outside is very smooth while the material inside is very soft and comfortable -- just the way I like my hoodies! I also bought a very light wash jean jumpsuit that was super cute and, luckily for me, the last one AND it fit! :) Staff was very nice and helpful. I tried things on in a fitting room, and the girls were friendly and talked to me there and at the register. The shop was also very clean, had a lot of different items to choose from (not just apparel, but beach equipment, too), and was set up very trendy. My only qualms are that everything is pretty pricey, and the women's clothing specifically were sort of unreasonably priced. My hoodie and jumpsuit in total were $146, which was a bit above my budget, but I hadn't seen anything like them before and having come from California, I just caved and bought them. There were a pair of olive women's shorts that were 40% of the fabric used for either of the items I bought that were $78. They were cute shorts but not really worth it for that price, and it was more expensive than any other individual item I had picked up in the store! Overall, I think it's a nice place to check out and treat yourself at once in a while. The styles are quality, cute, trendy, and very much beachwear/casual (i.e., shorts, crop tops, dresses, with some puffy jackets). They unfortunately don't have petite sizes (I'm 5'2"), so I'll be getting that jumpsuit hemmed (it was just too cute to pass up). I've also noticed that the sizes are much smaller compared to sizes I'm used to at other places in CA and even at some other souvenir shops at Atlantic Beach. I usually wear a size XS/S, but the M jumpsuit fits well and almost snugly on me. However, the hoodies are pretty oversized because they're in the men's section, so hopefully this information is useful to anyone who comes across this review!

With a new dog chewing on my expensive dress shoes, this was the only hope I had for saving those…read more I called to see if it was fixable, and the lady wouldn't even let me describe the damage on the phone before cutting me off and saying they need to look at them. Obviously, I know they can't give me the most accurate estimate, but I was hoping to find out what was in their capacity before making the 30 minute + drive over. I was irritated that she couldn't even listen to her customer. At the store, the son was working the counter and he was very friendly and helpful and turned around my opinion of the place. I explained to him that I had a big event I needed the shoes for if possible and it was about 2.5 weeks out. He took note of it and assured me that wouldn't be a problem. 2 days before my event, I call to check up and was met with the same rude woman. In a condescending manner, she asks if I received a phone call stating they're ready (cause obviously not!). She asks me a series of questions and while I answer the first one, she rudely cuts me off to explain I need to give her my ticket number, so I return the interruption and she explains that all repairs take 3 weeks and my shoes aren't ready. There was no timetable of repairs stated. If one employee can assure me the turn around time won't be a problem, others need to be notified, and lastly: CUSTOMER SERVICE! Hear out your customers! At this point, they have 2 days before my event to make do on their promise to me, but I don't think it will change my opinion of this business, and next time I will travel further to get my shoes repaired, and with this dog, let's face it, that's a lot of future repairs (4 ruined pairs at the moment). My biggest pet peeve is to be interrupted, and my second biggest pet peeve is to be talked down to and this lady has done that every time. I try to respect my elders and give extra grace for older people, but this is beyond grace and downright rude.

I was initially amused by the two women who helped me, who were friendly and helpful. They also returned my shoe to me earlier than promised, which I was happy about. However, when I picked up the sandal, I discovered that they had 1) stiched the upper to the sole in the wrong place, 2) run stitches all across the sandal in a way that looked like a child had done it, 3) stiched the removable insert (cushion) into the sole for no apparent reason. When I asked why, I was told that they "wished I had told them I didn't want them to sew the insert into the sole". What is the point of a removable insert if you can't remove it? In the end, I paid for my sandal and cut out all the stitching they did. In short, although amusing at first, this repair was a total waste of money and time. I can't possibly recommend this shop for shoe repair.
