Saint Patrick!
This county is where Sinton, Texas is located. There's not a lot to this county- it's mainly flat coastal land, with lots of agriculture, where they grow cotton, soy, and sometimes sorghum. This county was originally settled by the Irish, who teamed up with the Mexican government to settle here, so there was a heavy Irish Catholic influence here. But when the Texas Revolution started, many of them fled. After the war, many returned, and that's why it's Saint Patrick County, named after the patron saint of Ireland.
The county courthouse is located on the main street of Sinton. I like the sculpture of the soldier hucking a grenade out into the intersection. Incoming!! San Patricio County is home of MLB pitcher Mike Adams!
