Little Movements Day Care & Toddler Program - Photo snapped one morning on the way into LMDC...always happy to be going to see his teachers & buddies at school!

We are forever grateful for Miss Ann and the LMDC staff!…read more Our daughter started daycare when she was one year old, and from the very beginning, we knew this was the right place for her. Miss Ann's experience is priceless. She's always giving us tips to support our daughter's development. LMDC has provided our Olympia with all the tools to become a curious, smart and loving little girl. We know she's ready to rock at preschool after 2 years thriving at LMDC. She can count, recognize colors and shapes, and cleans up after playing with her toys. Every night Olympia gives thanks for her teachers and her daycare friends. Our top priority when we were looking for daycare was to find a place where Olympia would feel loved, respected and challenged and LMDC definitely was and is that! The Medina Family, October 2022

Miss Ann has created a safe and nurturing environment that gives each child the structure and predictability they need. I appreciated that she has a dedicated area for babies, and that her nap schedule works well for both babies with 2-3 naps and toddlers with one nap. My oldest also had a wonderful experience and both kids transitioned seamlessly to preschool after graduating from LMDC. We live in Mill Valley and it was worth the daily trip over the hill for 4 years! We will always have a special place in our hearts for Miss Ann and LMDC.

We've been going to Little Stars since our 3 year old daughter was 6 months old and started our…read moresecond there at 5 months old. Jessica and her team now feel like family. When I was looking for a daycare before my first was born I had no idea where to even start and was terrified of leaving my daugther with strangers. Little Stars was by far the cleanest and most organized of all the daycares we toured. Jessica communicates wonderfully and lets us know if there are any issues. The staff are so warm and loving and know exactly what each child needs each day. Watching my three year old grow there has been a delight. I love that the program is bilingual and she has become very proficient at Spanish. The play based curriculum with lots of singing and dancing has made learning fun and taught her more than I could imagine for a three year old. If you're looking for a daycare you can trust and feel comfortable leaving your kid everyday this is your spot.

From the very beginning, we felt that he was in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment, and it gave us so much peace of mind as first-time parents. All the teachers have been incredibly kind, attentive, and wonderful with Ari. He started at 5 months old and it has been so special to see him grow, learn, and become comfortable there. He always smiles when we drop him off and pick him up. We are truly sad that our time at the daycare will come to an end--not because of the experience, but simply because our family is moving to Petaluma. We highly recommend Little Stars and Jessica to any family looking for a warm, caring, and trustworthy place for their little one. Thank you for everything you have done for Ari and for our family!

A love letter to Tía Karina's House…read more When my son was just six months old, I dropped him off at Tía Karina's House for the first time and as a brand-new mom, I was a wreck. Leaving your baby with someone else for the first time is one of the hardest things you'll do as a parent. A year later, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Karina, Anna, and Betty have given our son nothing but warm, attentive, loving care from day one. They run a mixed-age program with dedicated pods for infants, tots, and preschoolers, so every child gets care and activities suited to where they're at developmentally - while still being part of one big, connected daycare family. Watching our son grow up as part of their little community this past year has meant so much to us. We are NOT ready to leave, and honestly, that's the best endorsement I can give. If you're searching for childcare in the San Rafael area, you will not find a more caring, trustworthy group to look after your child. On that note -- they will have an opening for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday care coming up soon! If you're looking for a daycare home that will feel like family, don't sleep on this one. Thank you to TKsH, we are grateful!

I have to agree with Gary (below). My boy went to Pre-school, Pre-K, and now he is in the K-1…read moreprogram and loves it. Most of the parents stick with NBCC after pre-k because it offers such a nice after-school program with lots of activities and friends-in-common from the earlier years together. A big plus for parents is the school has their own chef. Lunch and healthy snacks are included in the monthly fee. And in the spring, summer and early fall, the children get to work in the large organic garden. NBCC's structure for pre-k is especially beneficial for single children (for an only child). The children arrive between 7:30 and 8:30 AM. Then everyone has breakfast together around a big common table before beginning the day's activities. You wouldn't believe how much little kids have to chatter about; how much they communicate with each other; and over the course of a year a little society is formed - a group of 16 pint-size four year olds who eat, play, learn, nap, and exercise together. A lot happens in their 8 to 10 hour day. They learn to get along, follow rules, work out their problems (if need be) under the watchful eye of a loving, trained pre-school teacher. I am a teacher. I can tell a thriving environment when I see one. In my son's class there were children of two other teaching parents and several professionals. The principal always had time to talk to me; the teachers went out of their way to do the best for me and for my son. I NEVER saw any of the stuff that one of the posters here - Johanna H (an exceedingly negative yelp review) - alluded to. Not once in 3 years. Because I've been a teacher for so many years, parents with a laundry list like that of what's wrong with a school (it's never them, of course) are always a red flag for me. You listen to these parents long enough and you'd think teachers and administrators wake up in the morning just dreaming of how negligent they can be that day. Their "sour grapes" is in the eye of the beholder. Another lady posting on Yelp didn't like the way the front office treated her - never enrolled her kid - but took the time to dump on NBCC anyways. Give me a break. So...for what it's worth in my book, NBCC is pretty good stuff. It works just fine for my wife and I. It's conveniently located in Hamilton. My son has been part of their programs for three years now. He often asks us if we could go home and pick him up later. He was supremely prepared for kindergarten; loves his teachers, and is well adjusted. What's not to like about that?
