From the very beginning, they treated us with genuine kindness, compassion, and respect. They were patient with our questions, steady when we felt overwhelmed, and consistently made us feel like we were in capable hands. What sets this firm apart is the combination of professionalism and humanity. They were incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic, but also gracious and supportive through every step of the process. Communication was excellent -- we were never left wondering what was happening or what the next step would be. They kept us informed, prepared, and grounded throughout a process that can feel completely consuming. Gianna is an absolute delight to work with and was such a calming presence during trial. She helped keep us sane, answered questions quickly, and made sure we always felt supported. The entire team was responsive, thorough, and truly invested in the outcome. Angela and Daryoosh are the dream team. Their skill, confidence, and courtroom presence were exceptional, and we will forever be grateful for the way they fought for us. They were relentless in the best way -- prepared, sharp, and committed to protecting our interests at every turn. In this time of Covid and constantly changing eviction laws, I was having a difficult time finding an attorney to take my case. Not only did he have very reasonable fees, also a kind approach. After paying $2,300.00 and submitting all requested documentation, I was initially advised that I could file for Chapter 7. Weeks later, I was informed this was incorrect due to an error by Mr. Griffin, and that I would not be eligible for Chapter 7 until December 2026. Had this been communicated accurately at the outset, I would have waited to file. Following legal advice from this office, I ceased all debt payments, yet my case saw no movement for months while I faced daily harassment from creditors. Furthermore, there have been significant administrative failures, including: - Lack of Communication: My requests for refunds went unanswered until a filing was suddenly initiated. Mr. Griffin has been consistently unavailable for scheduled meetings and calls. - Privacy Breaches: I was sent documents containing other clients' private information to sign. - Procedural Errors: During our court appearance, the trustee noted that my bank statements were missing, despite my having provided them to your office. This resulted in my case being submitted for dismissal. Now my vehicle is in jeopardy of being taken due to non-payment by the trustee because my case is not final so all payments are in limbo. Most recently, during a scheduled call that Mr. Griffin was late for, he was unprofessional and verbally abusive. He shouted at me, insulted me, and stated that I could represent myself when I attempted to ask questions about my case. Given the lack of professional conduct, the errors in filing, and the disrespectful treatment I have received, I am seeking a refund of my fees. When moving in, I looked them both in the eyes and said "You understand their are no pets allowed" and they both said "Yes." Weeks later, the gardener mentioned that there were 2 dogs in the house. I asked how he knew. "Big poops and small poops in the yard." When I tried to discuss this with the tenant, they demanded I stay away from the house or they would get a high powered lawyer. I have every right to enter the house as long as I give legal notice. The relationship went downhill from there. I found Rachel Callahan here on Yelp. Since I live 100 miles away, everything was done by phone and email. She was INCREDIBLY fast and efficient. She filed all paperwork and QUICKLY got a judgement as the tenants never responded. The judgement gave me possession of my property back and included over $5,000 in rent and costs. Every time her firm sent me a bill, I paid within minutes because I loved what they were doing. AND, it was extremely reasonable for the work she did. I now have fantastic tenants in the house but if there's any trouble, you bet I'll call Rachel. THANKS FOR THE GREAT WORK!

She also claimed that I authorized a service I "could not afford." To be clear, my ability to pay was never the issue. The issue is that I dispute the $799 invoice, I never signed an agreement authorizing that amount, and I was unable to speak with a supervisor or manager despite requesting to do so. I even offered $350 in good faith for the time they spent, but instead of receiving a professional response, I received personal insults and intimidating comments about facing "consequences." This review describes my own documented experience. I have preserved the emails and communications supporting everything stated here. Dan was understanding and reasonable about the resulting charge, which was much lower than what he could have charged. He did actually talk to the landlord for 30 minutes, and then the landlord acted like none of that conversation took place. Yes, I'm a professional just like Dan so I understand the need for charges for work rendered. He could have easily charged us for all the spam and phone calls the landlord sent in a childish attempt to shoot up the charges, and the time it took for Dan's office to answer the phones. I blame the landlord for those and not Dan. Dan helped us come up with a plan to deal with the landlord, and what to do in handling the landlord in the future. We came up with a game plan as it were to deal with the landlord. I would recommend Dan to anyone needing a lawyer to deal with tenant issues or real estate. The charges are reasonable, especially when you consider the amount of work it takes to become an attorney, and the overhead they have to maintain for their office. The quality of his work is great, he's knowledgeable of the law, and his demand letters are very concise and worded well.

There were 30 ppl that responded to my post; none of them know each other and I got 3 recommendations for Carl Sizemore!! The reviews were glowing from each person; each with a different set of unique circumstances for divorce and custody issues. I found out for myself how great he really is. He's so down to earth; he will not only fight for you in court, but be a friend and provide a listening ear for you what you are going through. I loved his sense of humor and kind nature. Definitely nice to have someone by your side when you are going through such a rough time. He's HONEST, affordable, responsive and an ASSERTIVE attorney. What more can you ask for?!?!? A bit of advice...you don't want an aggressive attorney, but an assertive attorney. Aggressive attorneys act without respect towards you and the judge all while costing you hundreds of thousands. They make promises they cannot deliver.

I hired this attorney for a difficult family-law matter and paid approximately $10,000 under a…read morefixed-fee arrangement. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the representation and communication I received. One of my biggest problems was that I did not feel the divorce process was adequately explained to me. For example, I learned about California's six-month waiting period from someone else rather than from my attorney. Going through a divorce for the first time is stressful, and I expected my attorney to explain the process, important deadlines, what to expect in court, and what I needed to do. Communication was also extremely frustrating. I sent numerous emails because I was worried about my case and did not understand what was happening. Many of my questions went unanswered, and instead I was told that I was sending too many emails. From my perspective, if a client understands the process and knows what is happening with the case, there is much less reason to repeatedly ask questions. One incident particularly bothered me. I was concerned about submitting my PDOD before a deadline. My recollection is that I was told that because it was a court holiday, I could wait. Later, in court, the judge raised the delay and said I would have to pay a fine. I was extremely disappointed that, when this occurred, my attorney did not explain to the court that I had relied on the guidance I had been given by counsel. I felt left to deal with the consequence myself. I had similar concerns during court appearances. I hired an attorney because I expected someone who would understand my case, prepare me, communicate with me, and actively present my position. Instead, there were times in court when I felt my attorney was largely passive when I expected advocacy on important issues. Eventually I decided that I needed different representation and changed attorneys. This review describes my personal experience and recollection. Others may have different experiences, but based on mine, I would strongly recommend that prospective clients ask detailed questions before hiring this firm about communication, court preparation, deadlines, what the fixed fee actually covers, and how actively the attorney will handle the case.
