I wanted to provide an objective assessment, free from feelings of resentment, irritation, and severe financial loss. Every woman's reproductive journey is different and unique; some succeed in getting pregnant, while others must accept the fact that they will never have children, which I entirely understand. However, my experience with Dr. Gentry was completely a financial loss; I am aware that age is a major role in fertility, thus therefore was prepared for all physical and emotional possibilities. after 6 months of taking a break brought by moving to Jacksonville, Florida, and with careful research , my spouse and I "thought" FIRM was it. But we didn't succeed in letting their strategy work for us. Although, they failed to perform blood work, maximize our egg quantity considering our age, omitted to check my levels, and missed an "ENTIRE" cycle by miscalculating and "office closure" due to holiday, despite their claims that FIRM is open seven days a week. Dr. Gentry took my year and half old records and didn't follow up on the information provided, just a 1st & 8th day cycle Sonogram before the procedure. Due to poor timing and unprepared sperm, they drastically restricted my possibilities by starting the process 24 hours in advance and using the average window of opportunity by the 26-36 hour mark. What a financial loss, especially if you are aware of your body. The trigger time in the evening should have been followed by a 12-hour wait before returning the following morning at 7 am for the IUI operation. Due to our advanced age, this was fully clarified after multiple consultations in New York City. Prior to relocating to Jacksonville, Florida, we were patients at RMA of New York & NYU for reproductive, where the staff was incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and professional. They also carefully considered options and made suggestions for our age group. Sadly, because of my wife's health issues we decided to move forward with myself here in Jax. We're to blame for missing the details that made us feel confident. Firmed carried out three IUIs, two of which were unsuccessful and one of which was missed owing to an error in calculation; however, they charged for a whole useless appointment. Dr. Gentry was aware of my 28-day cycle and it's consistent with an ovulation 4 days after she was absolutely oblivious (lol, can't make this stuff up). She might've been dealing with stress, perhaps exhausted, or any number of other things. However, On our third month "second" IUI, Dr. Gentry failed to reassure us, apologize for her error, and support her patient. Instead, she said "crossed fingers" and left the room with a robotic good luck. I strongly advise seeing multiple fertility Dr's and making a knowledgeable, thorough investigation and make sure they are aligned with the energy you seek to take this journey with. I'm disappointed that we were unsuccessful yet again. I didn't feel optimistic or like we had any possibility of success the entire time we were with Gentry. Unfortunately, we had to continue with her since we had the sperm delivered ahead of time. We attempted to modify the location, but they made it clear that neither was available and they dislike switching doctors. Overall, you might be a good fit for DrGentry! I strongly believe that the FIRMS strategy is advantageous for young adults. But for a lot of women over 35, "TIMING" is important. Every practice is different, and my wife and I are aware of this. In any case, this was what we encountered. Everyone has my well wishes for a wonderful journey and I'm sending them baby dust!

I was very pleased with the amount of knowledge he has on reproductive medicine and I am happy to say that I am currently 23 weeks & 5 days pregnant because of Dr. Winslow and the FIRM. I would highly recommend the FIRM to anyone struggling with infertility. The staff is always so friendly and the wait time is minimal. I have never waited longer than 5-7 minutes before being called back. One thing I absolutely love about the FIRM is that I always saw a physician for my exams and never a technician. The FIRM truly is the BEST!

After my first appt with Dr. Fox and a few minutes of describing my symptoms, he made it clear that I likely did have endometriosis. Surgery was scheduled for July 2025. I ended up with stage IV endo that covered much of my abdominal organs and ended up with two hernias. Dr. Fox has fantastic bedside manner and came in before surgery to see if I had any questions. I remember kindly squeezing my foot before surgery to reassure me that all would be ok. Thanks to Dr. Fox and the general surgeon Dr. Smith for giving me my life back. The surgery coordinator and billing specialist were fantastic to work with. The only suggestion I would make is to increase the training and competency of the front desk staff.

She was the first doctor to ever hear me and take me seriously. When she scheduled my surgery she had the forethought to have a general surgeon on hand because she knew my symptoms sounded like there was more going on than just typical endometriosis. Thankfully the general surgeon was able to repair the 4 hernias they found while also removing endo. It's been over a year and a half since my surgery and my life has completely improved. I'm forever grateful! I took a star off because the office experience is very challenging. I was supposed to be scheduled for surgery but for some reason I was forgotten, then when I was told that I was scheduled apparently I was not actually put on the schedule. Then they were going to have to push me back another month and I was in excruciating pain (see 4 hernias above). The only reason I got in any sooner was because I wrote a personal email to Dr. Paschall and she made herself available on a day that she didn't typically schedule surgeries. The whole experience ended up lasting months of me waiting around and was very frustrating. If they could get their office staff organized this practice would be a perfect 5 stars from me. Hope they can make that happen!

She was so KNOWLEDGABLE and WISE about pregnancy, birth, child rearing, and homeopathy and naturopathy.  As for my story: I found out I was pregnant with twins in July 2018, and although we envisioned an unmedicated natural birth, we ended up in an emergency C-section at 7 months, due to placental blood flow issues. Let me how Joanna helped us surmount these incredible challenges...  Joanna helped me build a list of questions for providers, and was my strength when I needed to switch providers to one that much better matched my desires. Joanna showed me that I could STILL have the sort of birth I wanted, even if it wasn't in a birth center.   I called her before and after nearly every single appointment, because each new appointment left me feeling swamped with information and not sure how to sort my own feelings out. Joanna helped us work through all the questions and desires and expectations we had about the pregnancy. S helped my family with all the thousand mundane tasks of deciding on the best multivitamins, planning a diet around nausea and appetite loss, tricks for keeping up fluid intake.. She also kept us from freaking out every little scare--speaking me through experiences of spotting, discharge, and movement as natural parts of the pregnancy and birthing process. We traveled alot, and this meant alot of minor scares in a lot of different cities, and she was there for every call, email, text, and video chat, counseling us in every sense of the word. In December, Joanna worked with us in Fernandina Beach, teaching us a slew of methods for stretching, massage, and pain relief as the twins began to really put pressure on my hips and back.  Drawing from her experience raising three babies by herself, Joanna taught us all about cloth diapering and other earth-friendly approaches to parenting, which was amazing!   Unfortunately, when I was in Philadelphia a few weeks later, the doctors found restricted blood flow in twin A.  It got worse very rapidly, leading us to decide on an emergency cesarean within 72 hours, before the steroids for lung development could even take full effect.  Joanna stayed on the phone with me so much during those 72 hours, video chatting in, as we met with groups of high risk doctors, NICU nurses, and went through test after test. The twins were born at 32 weeks, and our son's apgar scores were 1,2, and 4 (these are very low). NICU was a harrowing experience and there was intense medical pressure to take every intervention possible. I would have felt totally shamed and alone if Joanna wasn't on the phone with me so much, INFORMING me and EQUIPPING me with research about kangaroo care, the value of colostrum for preemies, and their far better outcomes on breastmilk, as well as the need for me to take care of my mental health by seeking a psychiatrist and a therapist. With her help and guidance, I demanded that the twins receive donor breastmilk and I pumped and pumped and pumped.    At 6 months in, we are still going strong, I am providing enough breastmilk for both of them, cloth diapering, AND working full time, while also NOT feeling completely insane (most of the time). It was so emotionally VITAL to have Joanna's support in the tremendously difficult postnatal period. We feel so lucky Joanna was there for us, and it has allowed us to look back on that difficult period of time as one to be proud of.

First when she contacted me after I was able to find her she made me feel so comfortable with her. She is very down to earth and real and understanding when it comes to anything. She asked me questions that I never would have thought of and it made me feel so at ease that she knew so much and wanted to help me birth my way. She did research on every worry I had and helped me put my mind at ease. She took notes on everything I wanted and put it into a customized birth plan. She helped me to think of everything i could safely do and she let me in on all the freedoms I have as a mom in the birthing process. I told her I wanted a natural birth and I needed someone to stand up for me and she did just that. She made sure I had everything I wanted and she consulted with me first before letting the doctors just do whatever they wanted. She talked to me, she came over to my home for a whole day and night and watched me through the night to watch my contractions. She was on call for me. She massaged my ankles and back and had some amazing techniques to dispel the contractions when the came on hard. She helped to coach my husband so he could help me. She is overall an amazing doula and someone you need on your side.
