I have a 65" Samsung TV. While I was out, visiting my husband in the hospital, the stand broke, sending the TV crashing to the floor. This TV is 6 months old and still under warrantee so I called Samsung on July 17th. I was told that I could expect a phone call within 24 to 48 hours. I did get that call in only several hours, but their service center, USSI, told me that I had to call Samsung back and have a supervisor authorize a panel. I did so although I had an extremely difficult time getting through to that supervisor. I was again told that I would hear back in 24 to 48 hours. This time I never did hear back. So, yesterday I called Samsung again. I was told that they didn't authorize the panel. I was also told that they should have authorized it as it is covered by the warrantee. Long story short, a new ticket was entered and this morning I heard back from USSI and was told the same thing. I told the man that he needed to make the call since I was not a party to their contract and he gave me a hard time so I let him know that I was beyond frustrated and getting ready to post this story on YELP. He hung up on me and I called him back. Basically, he told me that he refused the ticket because he wouldn't be threatened. Again, I called Samsung and was told that there was no reason why the panel shouldn't be authorized and they would find another repair center to handle the call. Later this afternoon I got a call back saying that they don't have any repair centers in this area, that I would have to find someone who could fix it and have them contact Samsung to see if they would pay for the repair. When I said that this was unacceptable I was told to go to the help center at Samsung.com. Again I said that this was not acceptable so I was told that I would be put through to someone who could help. When the transfer was answered it was the same call center that I had been speaking with, and the call was dropped. As of now, I have a $1000 pile of trash on my living room floor and no hope of getting any help from Samsung despite the warrantee. I've been a faithful customer of theirs for years. I have 4 TV's and several each DVD and CD players, all Samsung. I don't think I'll repeat this mistake! read more
