I'm from Los Angeles. I've been to São Paulo twice, first time for 3 months. Second time, 2 weeks…read more I've eaten at Marajá for that Wednesday and Sunday feijoada too many times to count. First time I had it, I said to my Brazilian homie - "this is an explosion in my mouth." And the very first time I had ever had this national dish, was here. So, it holds a special place in my heart. This spot is conveniently located on the bottom floor of my friend's apartment. I've never had anything other than feijoada...it comes with sides and all the fixings, white rice, the garlicky couve, farofa and bone-in pork chop - delicious. Just be sure to come hungry and have enough time to nap afterward. Also, my wife left her iPhone on the the table, and after realizing 30 minutes later - it was still there! Employees kept it behind the counter. Obrigado for the good food and the hospitable service!!!
