I hired Mr. Polverino in 2020 as my defense lawyer in a criminal case. It was very hard to get a hold of him most of the time. The only person I was able to connect with over the phone was his assistant. I was surprised that he didn't seem to be interested in defending me but tried very hard to get me plead guilty to what the DA offered in the first place, which didn't make any sense to me. When we had the chance to catch up, he mistook the names of the involved persons, my case details with other cases and more so I was shocked. After finding out he didn't really spend much time on my case, I had to find another attorney who got the whole case totally dismissed. It would have been a nightmare had I followed Mr. Polverino's advice to take the plea. I don't recommend Mr. Polverino to people who are seriously thinking about fighting their cases. read more

I was referred to Sam by a friend so I hired him on the spot, he seems nice. He took my case without asking too much details, but I trusted my friend and paid him retainer on first day. After I paid the retainer of $6,000. He din't do any work and it was very hard to get an appointment with him. We met twice after that and I realized I had to hire another lawyer. Together we spent less than 2 hours on my case. Five years later I realized he had no interests in defending me. I paid the retainer and quickly had to hire another lawyer. It was my mistake for trusting him without verify his interest in defending me. I didn't learn anything from him. I learned a lot from my new lawyer. That's what bothered me the most, even until now. She was charged with hit and run - a serious felony. He was able to talk to the prosecutor to explain her disability and remove the hit and run charge.
