As you step in, you catch the aromas of baked breads, cookies, and pastries. There is a line, and you just have to be patient and wait for your turn. Once it's your turn, you must resist ordering everything in the store. They also can put together a gift basket for you to gift someone. We ordered two items, and they were exceptional. Both of us have a deep love for Italian baked goods. Coming to Italy, we were fortunate enough to sample these scrumptious delights. When in Lucca, this is a must-stop to satiate your heart's desire for Italian baked goods. I accidentally ordered the wrong coffee for my grandfather and when I went to fix it they offered to do it for me! They really didn't have to because it was my mistake not theirs but they were really very kind about the entire situation! The prices if you order at the bar are essentially the same as at every other bar in Italy. If you order and bring your own items to the tables you don't pay a coperto. It's only if you have table service that you pay higher prices. I would absolutely come back here again! A gem near the duomo with good prices even in the middle of tourist season!
