Uh oh. This is absolutely my favorite shop and it's 2 1/2 hours away. Everything wool and rug hooking. I could stay in this shop for hours just looking at the stuff. The hand dyed wool is scrumptious and even yummy colors like lime green. And her rug patterns, gah, there's so many of them! Thread, wool appliqué patterns, wool charm squares. I'm pretty sure there's a tarn strip cutter there. I had just left a rug hook in put on by the owner. She is a remarkable woman to accomplish this. Ofcourse the shop itself is adorable, the outside is within the decor of the cedar cabins in the area. If you love wool and rug hooking, this is your place to go. While there, don't forget to use the bathrooms. They are beautiful too. read more

I started shooting trap when I was 16 years old. That was 70 years ago. The stocks on my…read moreearly shotguns didn't have things like adjustable combs or other features that allowed the owner to fit the stock to his anatomy or shooting style other than cutting the stock for length of pull. As time went by custom stock makers started to appear but they mainly offered good looking fancy wood but little in the way of custom fitting. Today there are several custom stock makers but it seems only a few have mastered the arcane art of fitting a stock in a manner that significantly reduces recoil and allows the gun to shoot where the shooter is looking. Over the decades I've been competing with a shotgun I've had quite a few custom stocks made but Wenig has been the best at making a stock that is comfortable for me to shoot and allows me to shoot my best. I'm comfortable recommending Wenig without reservation. J.G. Sayle

Highly recommend you do not do business with this company whatsoever. If I could give them zero…read morestars I would. I sent two rifles in for stocks. Someone decided to make an "executive" decision without my consent and switched the order so each rifle was wearing the others new stock. On top of that, the new receivers and barrels both had scratches in the blued finish. Lastly, the guy I talked to one the phone, lied and lied. Basically, since I was pretty meticulous in my initial writeup using serial numbers and such, I proved him wrong. They had to try and make things right. That didn't really work though as one of the new stocks still had proud metal. Total waste of money. I heard this place has really went downhill with the new owners and I didn't know until afterwards. You've been warned.
