Vary cool and fun. I want to come back here again. A lot to do and see. Everyone was nice and friendly. My kid had a good time. Only thing, would be cool if different candy was handed out and not the same candy at every station.

Upon review of previous comments the only valid complaint is the wait to get in. This can be easily remedied by arriving early and leaving early. I arrived at 5 PM and was parked within 10 minutes. Left at 7:30 PM and was out of the lot and on the main strip within 10 minutes. Great event for photography purposes. I did not really have high expectations for this event after reading the reviews; most complaints were 'rookie mistakes' however. Would recommend. See below if you need advice on how to festival. Enjoy. A). Yes, the parking lot is dirt and gravel. This is an outdoor event, the host is trying to accommodate a large sum of people if you want to park in a paved structure or are bothered by dirt, grass, rocks, plant life and insects I advise you go to a mall or movie instead. Although frowned upon there are several nearby shopping centers, it would be less than a 10 minute walk.... B). Beggars can't be choosers, if you have the audacity to complain about the quality and amount of FREE candy you or your child received the Walmart is a 5 minute drive up the road, you can get variety of high(er) quality candy at a competitive rate. C). The food was expensive, of course it is, this is a fair, everything is expensive, eat beforehand and bring your own drinks if necessary, I suggest water, as anything else may get confiscated.

Bounce house fun at the spooktacular

Good time. We got there right when gates opened. Good thing since we got our kids on bounce houses before the lines started and wore them out. We didn't buy food due to the cost and lines.i was smart and brought a lunch box full of snacks for us all. Good time. Way too packed and VERY pricey.

Balloons lit up at the Salt River Fields Balloon 'Spooktacular.' This is about half of them. There were a lot of beautiful balloons.

This event was kinda a waste of money if you don't have kids. Thought there would be more balloons too.

Calling the event a "culinary" festival might be misleading but "The Food, Wine, Beer, and Music Festival" is kind of long and not very exciting. When you arrive, do not pay for parking because there is plenty of free parking around the area. You can use the money you saved to buy your food tickets to spend at the festival. I got discounted tickets online (2 for $10) from coupon site. These were general entry tickets and did not include food tickets or the Beer Garden and VIP areas. But, did include areas like: Big Green Egg Grill-tainment Zone, Kid's Zone, Teen Cook-Off, and 3 music stages. The event makes great use of both indoor and outdoor space around the center which include the outdoor amphitheater, water fountains, a lagoon, and Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. We went on Sunday, which was the second and last day of the festival. It was a breezy afternoon but felt warm-ish due to minimal shade. Luckily, many of the booth lines were short, if there was a line at all. Lots of the vendors gave out freebies like coupons, stickers, energy drinks and snack bars. There were many different booths to choose from but not everything we tried was that good. It is really just depends what you pick. However, a few of my favorite tasty items from the day were: Fried Mac N' Cheese Bites with Chipotle Aioli from Aioli Burger, Honey Sesame Chicken Biscuit from Two Brothers and Bailey's Cheesecake Beignets from the Beignet Babe. If day-drinking is your thing, buy tickets for the Beer Garden and you'll probably be happy. If people watching is your thing this event provides plenty of opportunity to do so. And if listening to music while trying food and drinks is your thing, then you'll enjoy spending time at the Scottsdale Culinary Festival.

Almost everything you wanted to eat you could find here, a…read morelittle bit of everything. A plethora of Food Trucks, Food Stations, Beer and Wine Gardens. They also had two stages with Live Bands, a Kids Zone and more.

This year in 2024, we arrived to the area looking for parking on Saturday around 6:20PM and it was a mayhem of cars, parking lots were full, valet was full, and absolutely no street parking. I ended up having to park 0.5 miles away, so definitely plan accordingly with carpooling or using ride share. Once we got to the area, despite the crowds, we were still able to find a nice area to watch the 8PM drone light show and the synchronized music fire performance. This year's canal art featured "Fireflection" by Walter Productions: A fire-shooting flotilla featuring mirrored geometric forms with flame heads and LEDs! There were also educational workshops, live music, food vendors and art installations throughout the canal walkway. I love how they raise awareness of environmental issues and their messages of sustainability! I can't wait for next year's Canal Convergence event!
