Mediocre experience. The vibe is nice but is way too loud. It wasn't even a busy night.. but the waitress and staff was nice. The food was nothing special. I'm pretty wary of anything called a fish camp, but this place was legitimately so so good. I had the blackened red snapper with cheese grits and collard greens and a hush puppy, as well as Key lime pie, and everything was totally delicious. But the absolute best thing in my opinion was my friend's stuffed sea bass. The sauce and stuffing in it was just incredible. They had really crisp Diet Coke - if you know you know - and great mixed drinks. It opens right out onto the water, so whether you eat inside or outside, you can feel a nice ocean breeze. We had a large party and were kind of indecisive, but our server Lexi was so sweet and helpful the entire time. If I lived close by I'd be hear all the time grabbing some smoked fish dip and a cocktail to watch the day go by! read more

Had a wonderful meal at this spot during a recent stay on Clearwater Beach. Not much to look at from the outside (or inside for that matter), but don't let that stop you from enjoying their high quality seafood options. We sat inside and away from the bar our outdoor seating areas, which may have been more pleasing and lively, but we wanted a quieter dinner scene that particular evening. We each ordered a dinner entree to share...I the shrimp po-boy and she the red snapper. The po-boy came with crispy fries and the sandwich was large enough to easily split. My wife ordered her snapper grilled, and it was definitely the right choice. The meat was tender and flaky, just as it should be for this fish, and came served atop a bed of cheddar grits, a side of sautéed greens and topped with mango salsa. Both dishes were quite tasty! We left just enough room for dessert, and given we're both a sucker for key lime pie, that is what we ordered! I'm not a huge fan of meringue, but theirs was not overly sweet and the pie was cool and creamy. Glad we decided to give this place a try, and would definitely return on a future visit...maybe sitting out on their patio closer to the water next time. read more

Can't believe I have not tried this place the past few times I have visited Clearwater. Salt Cracker has been added to my one of the must go places list when in Clearwater. From service to food everything was excellent. We stopped in twice while in town because the food was amazing. First time around we were here for dinner. It was later in the evening so it wasn't too busy. We got seated right away. Our server was great, answered all our questions. I got Shrimp Po boy and my friend got Mahi Mahi stuffed with seafood dressing which came with hushpuppies, rice and greens. The po boy was delicious with generous big pieces of Shrimp. The Mahi Mahi was cooked perfectly and with the stuffing was just delicious. We couldn't leave without having some dessert. We got the banana bread pudding and chocolate cake. They were both to die for. The second time around we went for lunch. We tried the Coconut Shrimp, Mahi Mahi Tacos and a Key Lime pie to share. The coconut Shrimp was delicious along with the Orange Marmalade and the Tacos were perfect for lunch. The Key Lime pie was one of the best I have ever had. Located near the marina, I've passed by it several times before we decided to have dinner here. Outside patio allows you to enjoy the views and fresh area. Convenient to access and you're dropped off practically at the front door from the trolley. I was sad to know they had sold out of the red snapper before we arrived but I ended up choosing the low country boil which was still delicious and well seasoned. It has shrimp, mussels,oysters, scallops, sea bass fillets, andouille sausage,potatoes and corn with a side of garlic toast. There is a daily happy hour 2-for-1 menu. I chose a specialilt drink, the Kai Lani: jack Daniels, freeze lemonade,blackberry mini,mint and soda. Packed a little punch!! First of all...I love the location of this spot! You get water front views, right on the docks so you can watch boats come in etc. You can also swing in once you fish and bring your catch in and they'll cook it for you and it's super reasonable. I thought that was awesome! They also have live entertainment on weekends! We were seated outside and started out with an app to share, cracker cracker shrimp which was fantastic. I ordered one of their margaritas I didn't totally love but the food definitely made up for it! Our server was amazing, super attentive and personable and made great recommendations. Two of our party ordered the American Red Snapper stuffed per our servers recommendation and it was out of this world! Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meal, even the kids! Give them a try! A really nice surprise in the most touristy area of town! Food, service and atmosphere all very good. We were there for a late lunch on a weekday in early June so crowds were minimal. The grouper sandwich came with Ranch dressing. Why would I settle for Ranch dressing when this delicious homemade jalapeño dressing was available? I waited 20 minutes for my Server to come back.
