Don't show up to a restaurant at ME a few minutes late. Not only will they "not be able to seat you" (regardless of the number of open seats), they will be "less than accommodating or kind about it" (read: rude) - and offer nearly nothing in terms of solutions. This is not the mark of good service, not representative of a world-class high-end hotel, and certainly not in-line with their "Everything Is Possible" philosophy. (The best we got was a SUGGESTION for us to try another of the resort's restaurants-not even an offer for them to call the other restaurants.)
NOTE: Make reservations BEFORE you get to the resort or immediately after arriving or you may not get a reservation for ANY restaurant some nights and your only option will be room service; how this is possible at a large resort (especially when there were many seats open on nights when I heard others speak of not being able to get a table) is beyond me and simply bad management. Vegetarians should also note that selections are surprisingly limited across the the resort- and although a "restaurant concierge" staff referred to one restaurant as "South American" (or in one case simply "American"), in fact it was Brazilian - with no menu and a nearly all-meat offering. (Though to be fair, after my surprise, the chef made me a simple-but-delicious pasta dish.) read more
