For entree we got the San Pietro fish and Tenderloin with blue cheese. They were both delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked so was the tenderloin. The highlight of the meal was the dessert hands down: the brigadeiro. It is rare to find brigadeiro that's that delicious. It came in warm in a cup (which is not how it normally comes as - it normally looks like a chocolate truffle). I was able to taste the fresh honey in it even. Simply spectacular! Exceptional food and service!!…read more I had the Wellington and some kind of tuna dish. Both absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the drinks as well. If you are in RIO Nosso is an absolute MUST. Highly recommend. I loved the variety of choices in their menu, I felt like they were all very unique - and equally as delicious. You'd be hard pressed to find food this good at this price. The drinks are also good, but there needs to be coordination in flavor between the kitchen and bar. The drinks and food don't compliment one another, but individually they're great. If they can bridge the gap they're a next level establishment. Until then they're "only" great. Service staff is attentive and helpful. They do speak English and accept credit card. You don't need reservations if you arrive as they open or shortly after.

It was too strong for my liking. Luckily, they did swap it out because sometimes in foreign countries they do not allow you to swap. If you don't like it you still have to pay. So I got their caramel cake which I lovedddd and I can rave about that. I wanted some of the meals I saw on here (from the pics) but they said they weren't available . I had a great time here and even with the language barrier I felt welcomed and would definitely recommend. I was greeted like royalty by Samara and staff even though I was dressed very casually and my spoiled rotten Maltese was clearly dirty. I have to say that the recommended "uruguayan" cut steak for $R69 was rather disappointing. It was roughly a 10oz ribeye steak, containing a fairly big chunk of fat. Nothing fancy or special. Not specifically tender, nor has any particular extreme marbling, as the menu describes. Not sure what makes it a highlight on the menu. It didn't come with any sides, and an order of fries was $R23. The rest of my party ordered the Ribs, which were not a rib roast or prime rib, that you might think of, but literally a rack of beef ribs, cooked for 6-12 hrs, well done, and under seasoned. It was more of a pot roast. It came with some Chimichuri on the side, farofa, and roasted potatoes. Chimichuri didn't have enough kick to spring up the large chunk of under seasoned rib meat. The waiter will try to come and up sell you on that dish, but I recommend to stay away. Apparently, the rib dish takes an additional hour to cook/reheat, but the waiter forgot to mention it. Be aware. If you want a good meal in Sao Francisco, Niteroi, I suggest going to the sister Paludo restaraunt, at least you see what you are getting there before you spend an hour waiting on your food.
