He has grown so much, not only as a dancer but also in his confidence, and that's 100% thanks to the incredible coaches and the unique performance opportunities HHK provides. From our very first call with Suzy to his first class in Performance Troupe, we felt welcomed and supported every step of the way. HHK truly operates like a family: older/more experienced dancers (Dade Crew) mentor the younger kids, alumni remain actively involved, and every coach is beyond patient and brings out the best in these kids. Soooo.... If your child loves dance, is ready to work hard, and dreams of performing at unmatched/incredible events (think Christmas on Las Olas, 305 Day, Miami Heat games, and so many more), HipHopKidz is ABSOLUTELY the dance program to join!

I have learned valuable lessons that I will carry with me throughout my life, and I will forever be grateful to HipHopKidz. I went from being a shy kid who rarely spoke to confidently stepping onto a stage, teaching my own classes, and putting passion and dedication into everything I do. I have been blessed with numerous dance opportunities, including performing for many celebrities and even traveling to different states. HipHopKidz is, and will always be, my dance family for life, and I couldn't imagine being apart of any other dance company. This is the place you want to be!!

That evening was a true celebration of the hard work, dedication, and artistic growth that each dancer has shown throughout the year. The New York theme brought a wonderful energy, and the entire night felt like a journey through a city of dreams and determination. Bella and I came ready for the night, and in support of her stunning outfit, I embraced my own dandyism -- a style and ethos that speaks to self-expression and quiet confidence. It was a nod to the ways we tell our stories and claim our place in the world, just as the dancers did so beautifully throughout their competitions and long hours of rehearsals. One of the most touching moments for me was when Bella's name was called as the recipient of the Kindest Recognition Award. As her father, knowing that she was honored for her kindness to her friends, dance-mates and her fellow dancers filled my heart with immeasurable joy. It is all we could ever ask for in life -- to see our children not only excel in their talents, but also be recognized for the goodness of their hearts. I was deeply moved to know that she was celebrated in such a meaningful way, in front of her friends, big sisters in dance and mentors. Zena, your vision and attention to every detail made this event so special. The venue was stunning and set the perfect stage for a night of joy and pride. Miss Heather, Miss Vero, and Miss Chiara, your awards and kind words meant so much to the dancers and families alike. To all of the teachers -- Heather De Santino, Veronica Alvarez, Chiara Gonzalez, Stavi, Storm, Sabrina Bishamber, Shara DeMaio, Ms. Christie, Eric Ubiera, and the entire DG team -- thank you for nurturing not only the technique and performance of our children, but their character and spirit. #DG Your guidance, patience, and devotion go beyond teaching choreography. You show our daughters how to be confident, compassionate, and resilient -- qualities that will stay with them long after the music fades. For that, we are truly grateful. With sincere thanks and warm regards, Patrick, Philomena and Isabella Doliny

I learned so much in every single class I took. In university at USF I took a semester of ballet and the teacher complimented my technique as being the best one in the class, all thanks to the wonderful education I received at academy of arts. Now in 2025 my 3 year old daughter is taking classes and is enjoying every class. My mother, daughter and I recently went to the Christmas show and we were so proud to experience the show. It was such a great show, still professional and beautiful. 13 years later and Academy of Arts is still producing wonderful dancers. I highly recommend this studio to all dancers and artists who are eager to learn and perfect their craft.

The faculty is certified and have led professional careers in their respective areas of creative expertise. They begin laying a foundation from the preschool years all the way to young adulthood. And they have both female and male students. They also offer an AfterSchool program and work your child's classes at a mutually suitable schedule. The cost of the classes is comparable to other dance academies. I have enjoyed closely watching the development in my niece, as well as in many of her close friends. I also look forward to their professionally-mounted recitals every year.

Not a strip mall stage wedged between a nail salon and a frozen yogurt shop. A real theater. The kind that feels like it was built for big voices, bright lights, and the occasional crowd singing along a little too loudly after a couple of pre-show drinks. That's the first thing you notice about the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Sitting right along the river in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the place just looks like it belongs there. Modern lines, big glass, clean design. But at the same time it still carries the charm and warmth you expect from a classic theater. It feels like a venue that was designed for nights out. Once inside, the layout works well. Sightlines are excellent. Whether you're down low or up in the higher seats, the stage is easy to see and you never feel like you're watching from a bad angle. But here's the one thing that caught us by surprise. The sound system struggles a bit when you get up into the higher seats. The speakers just don't quite reach that far with the same clarity, so the sound can come across a little muffled. Here's the pro tip. If you're sitting high, save the money and go cheaper on the ticket because the sound quality up there probably won't match what you'd expect from a premium seat anyway. The parking situation has actually improved. Getting in is easier now that they switched to the pay by plate app system. You drive in, park, handle the payment on your phone and head to the show. Simple. Leaving, however, is another story. Getting out of the parking lot after a show can feel like a bit of an adventure. This is where patience becomes part of the evening's entertainment. Give yourself time and don't expect a quick exit. We saw Darius Rucker last night, and even with the sound challenges in the higher seats, it was still a really fun night. Good music, a great crowd, and the kind of energy that makes live shows worth it every time. Here's the move if you're coming here. Go early. Grab dinner or drinks somewhere nearby. Walk over without rushing and enjoy the atmosphere around the theater. And when the show ends, don't fight the traffic. Take your time and let the crowd thin out. Do it that way and the Broward Center becomes exactly what it should be. An outstanding way to spend a Saturday night.
