The barman was supremely talented and put on a show for every cocktail he made. I was spellbound. I had a strawberry mojito that was simply delectable. The sound system on the 2nd level is excellent; you can feel the sound reverberating throughout your body and the DJ played some songs I really like. The dance floor is on the 1st level and I had a difficult time enjoying myself because the DJ on this level was playing very outdated songs. I get very annoyed when a DJ doesn't know how to feel the crowd and everyone was on the dance floor wanting to dance the night away but they were hardly moving because the music wasn't good. I give this place a 4 because I really enjoyed the 2nd level and the drinks, but I wouldn't come here to go dancing.

Imagine you show up to Bypass with 4 lovely Geneve-SErvette Hockey Club cheerleaders who are your friends to buy a table and a bottle for the night at the club. When you show up, a gentleman who is speaking English is being told to leave by the security in French. I help to translate into English what is being said, only to be told by the English speaker to get out of their conversation. I get to the front of the line and am told that I can not go in, for having a hockey jersey tied around my waist. I give the jersey to my friend to put into his car and am refused entry again, NOW on the basis that I was rude to the security (which at this point I was not). When I tried to speak to the 'Security' to explain what I said to the 'english speaker' I was told "shut up I speak no english", I contained in french when he swapped into English and told me to shut up and go home. I asked to see the manager and was told 'he was the manager'... fun. I then ask for the licence holders name and number, which by law I should be able to have. They laugh and refuse to give it to me. I then ask for a glass of water, and they laugh and refuse to give it to me, with the rude security guard (who stated he had no permit and could "F*ck me up") would p*ss into a glass and force me to drink it if I asked for water again. I then spoke to the manager DD who refused again to give me the name and number, stating it was illegal but he had been told by the owner (a gentleman with grey hair) not too. I then said I would call the police and they said go ahead, they had a 'solution' for situations like this and I would be the one who would get charged! I certainly will NEVER go back to such a place!

If you plan to sit outside (and enjoy the view) make sure you get a reservation. We arrived early on a Friday and were only able so enjoy the outside space for a little bit, as all the tables were reserved for the night. The area is small, so I expect your should make reservations quite early. Cocktails were very expensive- $25 each. Wine and beer also seemed more expensive than at most places. The host staff was pretty unfriendly as we arrived and service was slow most of the night.
