Vegetarian combo#1 Bean Burrito, Cheese Enchilada & Chalupa & Burrito Salsa Fresca with steak
    Kamila K.

The food was good, but lacking flavor for Mexican cuisine. The cheese enchilada and bean burrito essentially tasted the same, chalupa was good and had lots of avocado on top, but I wish the tomato was diced. Food came quickly, but I wish it was hotter in temperature. Menu has lots of vegetarian options which was a bonus. Does not sell alcohol but offers virgin margaritas which are delicious.

Been here several times. Service was excellent. They have really good guacamole. That is a must-try! I always love their chips and salsa, as well as the queso dip. My daughter ordered the chicken fingers and fries and she loved it. I ordered Quesadilla Rellena. The Arroz con Pollo, which was what my mom ordered was absolutely delicious. Next time, I'm gonna order that for myself! Lol For dessert, we had churros. It was light, delicate, and just the right amount of sweetness to end our meal. Next time, I'll probably order extra chocolate to dip the churros in. Salsa Fresca is our reliable go-to Mexican restaurant.

Very good local BYOB. Food was good, guacamole for the chips was ok (needed more seasoning). Serving size of food was plentiful. There's a liquor store next door, so we picked up Coronas to have with dinner. Lots of food options on the menu. There's even margarita mix for drinks so you can add your tequila. Service was good & fast, even on this busy Friday before Cinco de Mayo. It was pretty loud in there & made it a little hard to hear conversation, but it also made for a fun atmosphere. Would definitely recommend & would definitely go back.

This is not good Mexican food. The tortilla bowl was really disappointing. As well were the tacos.

However, the portions were very limited in comparison to the price. I think they are getting a little greedy with pricing and portions. One person in my party ordered the mixed fajitas and it's was more than $20 for about a 6oz a chopped meats with vegetables, a hand full of rice and half a cup of refried beans. The person in my party that received the food looked at it, look up at me and said "really". Another person said "isn't that more than $20?". The person that ordered it cringed and apologized for ordering since we were paying. Another person ordered a burrito and it came all by itself on a plate. The put nothing to even make it look good. Another order was tacos and the meat was not even hot. Soft drinks came to $8 for the large and $6 for the small. Place hadn't been bad before reason why we decided to go this time, but I felt like I got robbed. Tab came to $100, when in other places that serve high quality food would charge $80 or less for the same things we ordered. The place looks nice though and the service was good. I just think those prices need to be checked or the portions need to be larger. I have been to the Mariachi Loco in Hammonton and with this kind of tab I would have fed an extra person or two.

I love trying new restaurants and have had this place on my radar for a while…read more We decided on a whim to try them on a Saturday night in the summer. We got right in with no wait. There was live music in the main dining room consisting of one singer singing Latin music. We were each given a tablet with the menu, which was pretty awesome. It took us a long time to decide what we wanted because we were enthralled by the extensive menu with all of the photos on the tablet. I decided to order a cocktail and my husband got the horchata while my mom got an unsweetened iced tea. They have a full bar with a ton of specialty drinks. My drink arrived with flower petals adorned to the side of the glass. We also received complimentary chips with salsa and salsa verde. As an appetizer we decided to do the taquitos. I love taquitos so I was excited, and the presentation was great. However when we bit into them we noticed they were just pieces of chicken breast rolled in tortillas and fried. No seasoning. No cheese, nothing mixed in. I was surprised. The taquitos I've had in the past are made with shredded chicken and potatoes with cheese. These were lacking flavor and dry. I wanted to love them so much but I just couldn't. For our entrees, I did the chimichanga mixto which was a chicken and beef chimichanga. They were on the smaller side but plenty for one person. The filling was mixed with salsa but again felt bland. They were serviced with a side of rice. My mom got the pina loka, which was grilled shrimp, chicken, and steak with onions and peppers inside a pineapple. Hers was very good. My husband got the La Jeño mix which had chicken shrimp and steak with cheese sauce, rice, and veggies. The flavor of his was pretty good as well. We skipped dessert, but the menu was extensive with all your Mexican favorites plus items like chicken parm. They also have a full breakfast menu. The music was very loud for the small dining area if you wanted to have a conversation, but the singer was doing his thing. We made sure to tip him on our way out. The servers checked on us frequently and service overall was good, I just wish the food wowed us more because I so wanted this to be our new fave.

The business is all hand painted with authentic Mexican murals and clean. We met the manager, Angel, who was very pleasant and tentative. Our portions were large and tasty. My friend, who is Mexican and knows Mexican cuisine, enjoyed it and said it was authentic. The only thing is they have live music, where I found it difficult to converse with everyone.
