I just did a regular mani...easy peasy. You'd think (she did an "ok" job). When she was done, I kindly asked the female nail tech (who also did my niece's nails) if she could remove the red polish on my toe nails for an additional fee. She asked (who I think was the owner in their native language). God knows what their exchange was, but she told me to put my feet one at a time on a trash can under her desk. When she was done, she told me I should buff it out because red nail polish is hard to remove. I agree, but if you could have seen my nails and toes afterward...horrible job...there was so much red polish still everywhere...even on my toes! I had to use acetone and Q-tips to remove the rest when I got home! The two men working with other clients seemed very professional and appeared to carry on a good dialogue with their customers. Nope, not Emma...at least that was the name behind her on the wall...may not be her's but she was very unfriendly and appeared to be put off by the whole experience. If you're in a customer service profession, act like it or get out!

Instead, I was met with confusion and a complete refusal to do the service I had already booked. The technician at the desk claimed they couldn't help me because they didnt have the "Time" -- as if that somehow excuses denying a paying customer the service they requested. I wasn't asking for a full set or anything complicated, just two simple fixes. But instead of honoring the appointment or even offering a reasonable explanation, I was basically brushed off. Oh and i hear the Boss was out of town.. What kind of business can't function just because one person is away? That screams poor management and lack of training. If your staff can't handle basic repairs without a supervisor present, maybe you shouldn't be taking appointments at all. I wasted my time coming in, and the indifference I was met with made it clear they don't value their clients. I've been to many salons over the years, and I've never had such a ridiculous experience. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that's actually organized, professional, and willing to stand behind their work -- even when the boss is out of town.

After she finished my dip manicure, I left & put on my reading glasses to see. I noticed dip powder on many fingers, not nails, and one nail partially covered. I went back to see if she could finish the nail and remove the dip. She had left, and the other technician told me to wash my hands and pick off the dip. After a week, the dip is chipping off my nails. Dip manicures are relatively expensive and generally last at least three weeks. I'll continue looking for a nail salon.

I've attempted contacting Valerie on several occasions and she refuses to reply to me. I'm embarrassed to say I've spent $400.00 only to have my hair completely damaged. The last 5 months I've spent even more money on hair treatments and color corrections with professional stylists. Back in July, I asked Valerie if it was possible to dye my brunette hair, silver. I wish I had educated myself on the process prior to letting her dye my hair because I would have known what she was doing wrong. First, she didn't do a test strip after communicating that I had a balayage and color in my hair. Second, she bleached my entire head for over 7 hours. Yes 7 hours. In that time, she was cutting and doing other people's hair instead of paying attention to mine. She was completely rushed and my hair was not picking up the bleach well. She kept adding more bleach and used an entire bleach bottle on my hair. The whole time I repeatedly told her it was burning and the only thing she told me was that it was normal. Finally, when she took the foils out, my hair came out with it. My hair was very obviously damaged and different colors. Not to mention tangled and in knots. When she combed my hair out, the ends started breaking off and stretching. She then began blaming the color in my hair on my past stylist for how it turned out. As a stylist, I believe you should know what you're doing and not take on more than you can handle. Valerie charged me $400.00 and proceeded to say, "Don't feel obligated to give me a tip." Please use this as a learning experience as I hope this review prevents anything like that to happening to anyone else.

I went to Color Connection. They were much better and much cheaper. Im taking her to small claims court, I filed a police report and my bank is also looking in to it. DONT GIVE HER A CARD TO PAY-SHE WILL CONTINUE TO CHARGE IT WITHOUT PERMISSION.
