My roommate and I had a spontaneous idea to get haircuts to add some sort of style to our look…read more This occurred on a Sunday morning which of course, causes conflict due to the fact that most salons aren't even open on this day. Thankfully for Google, we found this location and walk-ins were available. Upon arrival, the location was good but the salon's appearance was very out-dated from the floors, to the non-matching mats, and furniture, etc.. We had found that the way the individuals had branded themselves reminded us of the earlier 2000's as well. They were dressed very casual and actually reminded me of the styles we had back in grade 7 with the DC high tops, bright but dark pink hair, and leopard print shirts. Then, on the communication side we ran into a barrier, where she didn't understand what I was trying to say because I didn't know what kind of cut it was. She used terms and the facts while I used expressions and examples. Though, the hairdressers were very nice, kind, and had great customer service skills. Our overall experience was okay, I just feel like this salon wasn't right for me. I realized that I prefer more of a mainstream and fashion forward atmosphere.

This is the real thing, I've been looking for a real barber in the Annapolis Valley ever since I've arrived and he definitely fits the title! If you can manage to make it here between the terrible opening hours, it's definitely worth it. This is a barber with an opinion on almost everything; politics, local events... awesome! My daughter and grandaughter were called in fist as my girl was still finishing up with another client . I decided that I would pay then so my daughter wouldn't try to pay where she would be out first. I was feeling rushed when paying as I was waiting for the girl to come for my massage. After paying I went back to sit down to wait and when I looked at my receipt and realized that I had made a mistake with the tip. It was $93.00 and change!! I am a retied senior and absolutely could not afford a tip like this! I panicked and immediately went back to the cash and explained that I could not afford a tip like this., I will not go into the details of the rude and condescending attitude that I experienced from the girl behind the counter. I understood what an inconvenience that I had caused and as mentioned ....I apologized a few times. My apologies were met with grunts and obvious major irritation. This immediately tainted my whole spa experience. and carried through my whole session! To note.... I was refunded the tip in cash so I could then give what I believed to still be a generous tip. My daughter experienced the same attitude when inquiring about prices for some products she wanted to purchase while waiting for me to come out. I had (because of serious illness - that is personal and had she given me a chance and had been PROFESSIONAL about it and CALLED me - rather than sending the very inappropriate, unbefitting for the high-class reputation I had heard the salon had, and up to that point, I'd was so pleased with their nail tech, Esthetician and stylist. I even found a new nail tech there who was/is so professional and sweet that I was very happy to have all of these appointments with the same salon. However, being sent an unprofessional, hurtful email, without giving me a chance to let me advise the stylist, esthetician, and nail tech that I'd pay for any appointments I missed due said illness. I was hurt and insulted. I should not think I must have a doctor's note because I cannot make an appointment. I even agreed to PAY for the missed appointments. I've not been able to find decent, stylist I had found a new Nail Tech - Dani at this Salon and she was very sweet and we got along; however, I thought it might make her uncomfortable to have me as a client, given how the Stylist abruptly ended our business relationship. When she had serious Health Scare a couple or more years ago, I did not send her an email and berate her. She was ill. When she returned to work I did not send a short, curt email telling her I would no longer use her services. I was not given the chance; and instead, I got a short, unprofessional email that I was causing her great mental and emotional pain. The Salon business in this area is small; and the thing that bothers me the most is one nail tech told me, that SHE had been told not to take me as a client. That is just unacceptable and rude.
