I rarely do bad reviews but when it's due I do , although I hate to do this .. my sister came in really happy to do holiday nails she rarely does things for herself so she was excited... she asked for ombré red nails . Her nail tech suggested "red with silver" and she decided to trust her .. instead of ombré we got solid red with glitter and the glitter was scattered and had missing patches ! The work done on her was completely messy ! Acrylic was left on top of her skin and nail polish everywhere :/ she was so upset after leaving the salon . One should leave feeling happy and satisfied and beautiful :/ she is so upset she left crying . My cousin also got her pedicure and her nails were not filed and where left very crooked ! She had nicely filed nails before she cut them very crookedly and more than what was needed . Unsure if they're qualified nor they know what there client wants . So: apparently this place loses technicians almost on a weekly basis- Twice when I called back to schedule with the person I had seen the week earlier, I was told that they are "no longer working at the salon". But it gets worse : last night in person I scheduled a manicure with the actual Manicurist, "Lee". I called to let them know that because of traffic I would be 10 minutes late. The receptionist says, OK sweetheart, no problem,she's running a few minutes late too." So since I'm about five minutes away I ask how long will she be?, The response again is "sweetheart, she's almost done ...just come on in." I know that "sweetheart" is something that people from other countries are comfortable saying to grown women, but it's never a comfortable fit coming from someone 20 years younger for me who doesn't know me. I race in to be respectful of the fact that I'm 10 minutes late-- AND LEE is in the middle of a pedicure with a gentleman that clearly has been well underway for about at least 30 minutes. So I ask her how much longer she plans to be and she says, "I am busy, can you use the other gal?..." So I stare at her for a second and say, I raced in here for our appointment that I made with you in person last night, our appointment was at four. So LEE, rudely, without missing a beat says, "well I'm very busy and a lot of people are waiting for me so if you want to wait 30 minutes..." ??? Then she tries to use the fact that I was nine minutes late and I said, you were running late when I called in respectfully to let you know about traffic, and you guys lied to me and told me to keep coming in, YOU WOULD BE AVAILABLE in 5 minutes ... maybe you should've told me that you were no longer honoring my appointment when I called in five minutes ago. So she stares at me and tells me "the other girl is really good..." This is what I raced over for was THIS kind of rudeness and disrespect? This is how they treat LOYAL RETURNING CLIENTS. So I called back and spoke to the receptionist, Lucy, who says, "sweetheart, no problem," to which I finally say "ma'am, I am an adult woman ... a CUSTOMER... I'm not your sweetheart and please have the owner call me." I would avoid the salon at all costs - they are disrespectful of people's time and energy, and apparently it's just first come first serve even if you've made an appointment in person. For the record, despite leaving my name and number and being promised a call back from the owner, of course I did not receive a call back from the owner. So not only do they disrespect clients time by having them come in for appointments they won't honor -, but the owner is MIA and can't be bothered to help, apologize, or make up for the disrespect his staff has shown. Shame on Lee for handling people in such a disrespectful and cavalier manner. And shame on the owner for treating his returning clients so disrespectfully. I'm not too happy with my haircut. First I booked an appointment specifically looking for the man hairdresser. I booked the appt and I was helped by a woman and not him. (It's the first time I'm cutting my hair in the United States and I'm very specific and I have high standards. I only took the chance because he came recommended). The guy even spoke to me on the phone and I told him someone recommended him in specific. Why in the hell didn't he book me for a time he would actually be available? Price is not a problem. I just wanted a good stylist. Unfortunately the lady wasn't gentle at all. My hair is thin and she hurt me a bit while brushing my hair with the comb. My hair is also long so every time she would take a part of my hair to cut it she would keep "snapping " my hair on my face haha. Now I'm home, looking at my hair and not happy with it at all. It looks soooooo flat and the ends are still in need of a cut. I loved my gel manicure and pedicure. I walked in, they made time for me. They took their very delicate and patient time soaking off the SNS dip which took awhile. I love the way they shaped my natural nails and toes. Just peaceful and relaxing. Thursday is a good day to go, so calm. The owner played Frank Sinatra and I felt relaxed and happy. They are very sanitary. They use liners in their bowls and clean tools and gloves. I didn't feel rushed which was the best part! And my cuticles are FIERCE. He has taken care of all of my children's cuts too and we are all very very happy. My hair always light full with a very nice bounce. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER service I've experienced to date at a nail salon ever!!!! Just look at the picture of my nail that i have attached. I've visited this nail salon many many times but today they have proven to be very money hungry and totally unappreciative of their customers! I am an avid yelper and today I fooled myself ‍ I have been wanting to get a haircut for a while but I don't have a favorite stylist anywhere so I took my chance with "salons" in my neighborhood. I looked at multiple places and found that this salon has the best photos..... not realizing that the photos were years old from a very talented stylist who more than likely doesn't work there anymore. I went in as a walk in on a weeknight as I imagined it would be slow and the place was fairly busy. I let them know what I wanted; cut, color, and style. I honestly think paying for a haircut should include the style if you're showing a photo... how else would you be sure if you're getting what you ask for? Oh wait, pay another $50.00 to double check whatev Anyway, I waited patiently for the stylist to complete one of her customers then invited me to her chair. First issue, we spoke different languages. I manage a few stores in a theme park so language barriers are not a thing to me. I, daily, have to navigate conversations through a series of hand gestures and miming skills to ensue my customers are taken care of. Today, I clearly failed on the language barrier part. The photo I showed was a lob (long-bob) which I imagine every salon cuts daily as it is "the haircut" that most women have or have had...? I let the stylist know what color I would like and the owner came over with swatches so I could pick what would be the best for my complexion. I thought this was great as he and I spoke the same language, and I could ask him all the questions I wanted. He then relayed the info to the stylist and went on his merry way. My hair was then hacked off and the coloring began. Mid coloring he leaves for the day and something in my brain said... oooh man.... not again. I often have hair cutting mishaps where I almost want to have a Britney moment as soon as I get home and shave it all off because the panic and frustration overcomes me. Coloring is complete and onto the cut. After rinsing out my ear eight times we then head back to the chair and ooh boy! Brassy roots!! Yaaaaay said no one ever. I took My mousey brown grow out and blonde bayalage to brass roots and nearly blackish tips after cutting off 7+ inches. She asked me how short I would like the cut which I showed her about four inches longer than shoulder length. I wanted to still be able to put my hair in a pony tail and I understand that curling makes hair seem shorter. I'm in my 30's. I get it. So snip snip snip here I am with a blunt cut, "layered," above shoulder, seven shades barker haircut than what I asked for. This is nowhere near what I asked for, no where near what I should have paid for AND half my forehead, as well as the side of my face was covered in dye. I went home, washed my hair because my scalp was pulsing due to color not being fully washed out, and tried to style it as best as I could. I am beyond upset and am trying to rationalize to myself by thinking "well all the damage was cut off..." "well people say it looks nice..." but none of this rationalizing will really make me feel okay. There goes $200.00 down the drain. Fml read more

DONT GO HERE! THE WORST PLACE. Two weeks ago while I was at the mall, my daughter and I walked in to get a fill. I had a guy do my nails. He did a horrible job super lumpy, thick and the gel nail polish was peeling on the side two hours after I got them done. The next day I came back and one of the girls had to take off all the polish and shave off the thickness. This is where it gets better. Fast forward two weeks. We came back for a fill because the girl who fixed my nails was great. She starts working on my nails and starts ripping off my nails (ouch) without even asking me. I told her that it hurts and to stop. She says she can't fill the nails because they are horrible and lifting. I told her that I got them done at her salon. She says, yes I know I remember you. She says they are all lifting and I have water under the nails and my nails are starting to turn yellow. So she does a brand new set . My daughter and I go to pay and I am charged $95 for a full set plus a dip for my daughter and we walk out. As we walk a few minutes later runs over to us the cashier and says we didn't pay for everything. I was a bit dumbfounded as I thought $95 was already a bit high. She says we owe them another $80 just for my daughter's dip and gel nail polish. Never mind that they should not have charged me for the new full set as it was their fault they were bad because they hired a horrible person who is unprofessional and clueless and never mind that I was not asked if I want a new set and my nails were just ripped off but to charge $80 for a fill without even telling me the cost. Ridiculous . Don't go there. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he's on vacation. Shame on you. Hopefully he will contact me now and refund some of the money! read more

NEVER and I mean NEVER impulsively decide to get your hair highlighted at a random place because you looked in the mirror earlier in the day and thought your roots were showing. JUST DO NOT DO IT- Because I did it for you and it was A HUGE MISTAKE and a waste of $100. I went to the mall (stupid decision #1) and decided my hair needed a touch up. Now when I say TOUCH UP, I mean my hair needed HIGHLIGHTS to mask my roots that were starting to show through. I must emphasize the word HIGHLIGHTS here as I have been HIGHLIGHTING my hair with blond and golden blond since I was SEVEN (yep, you read that right- don't ask! LOL). Well, I walked into this salon which wasn't all that busy (and I've seen it crazy before) and was taken immediately. The woman who was assigned to do my hair was very pleasant HOWEVER she thought she knew what was best for my hair. NO. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. She loved the color of my roots and decided to BLEND ALL OF MY HAIR TO MATCH THAT COLOR- so think DIRTY DISH WATER, yep, that's what my hair currently looks like. Initially I thought she understood what I meant. HIGHLIGHT (I got a partial) MY HAIR BLOND, and I like it to look natural with a few different VIBRANT COLORS OR BLOND. When she returned with only one bowl filled with hair dye, my gut told me that this wasn't going to go well. My gut continued to tell me this when the hair dresser started to take the fools out as she was dying my head. My hair really didn't take very long at this salon which is weird because it typically takes at least an hour and a half if not two (it only took about an hour here), which was another sign that she didn't listen to my requests. Oh and the BIGGEST SIGN OF ALL (aside from when she revealed to me the new color of my hair by blow drying it), was when my hair dresser came up to me with a book filled with colors for toner and she recommended this super ashy/brownish almost toning color... I then said NO. And showed her the BLONDDDDDDDDD I WANTED. Ugh. Back in her salon chair, wet hair and all, I could tell the color was DARK and I wasn't going to be happy. I had her blow dry it so I could confirm my unhappiness and... YEP! Hated it... And I knew she could tell. She kept trying to convince me that the color was perfect and natural and not damaging my hair, and I just sat there 1/2 smiling saying I typically go for a much blonder look. I didn't want to be mean and it's so awkward to say "RE DO IT FOR ME" so I just paid (with the 10% off coupon on Yelp) and left as fast as I could. I definitely scolded myself for making such an impulsive decision and immediately text messaged my typical hair dresser saying I NEEDED HELP ASAP! Ha! So yeah, I do NOT recommend this hair salon UNLESS you're looking for low lights or to completely dye your hair brown... Or if you're looking for a mani/pedi. The worst part?! When I left the salon, i noticed Aveda Salon across the way ... And thought, UGH THEY PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DONE A WAY BETTER JOB! read more

I have not been a customer at Salon Dioro for probably 8 years now, and only because I no longer live conveniently close to the salon. But I Never had a negative experience of any sort. The nail techs were wonderful, and Vic was always courteous and professional. In reading some of the reviews here, I have to think these reviewers are prima donas - impossible to please. Or, possibly, they do not know how to negotiate even mildly difficult situations. None of their negativity matches even a single moment of my experience at Salon Dioro. All the clients leave happy and in my opinion that is due to their great time and appointment management. you never see anyone waiting since the employees always manage to provide their services at the exact time they schedule you for. I got my feet done with a callus removal and she didn't use or know what the metal scrapper for calluses was. Jewel, my favorite esthetician just moved to this salon, she's been doing my brows & facials for about 11 yrs now and she's amazing! She is the best eyebrow/facialist out there... I live on the east coast now, but she's literally the first person I call to see when I visit the valley.... super affordable too. Eyebrows+Facial+tip runs me about $75, but make sure to bring cash or a check. I haven't gotten my hair done here yet, but I've been getting my hair Japanese straightened for about 2 yrs now, and this place does the new Brazilian straightening that I've heard amazing things about... plus the owner said he'd do it for $250, that's more than half the price I've seen it done elsewhere, and at least $100 less than the Japanese processing I get done in Koreaown. I think I'm going to get it done sometime this week & I'll report back with the results. Edit: Loved my hair (Anna did it I think)... but apparently they lost their lease! Bummer... For the last 20 years I have been in search of hairdressers and I have tried them from California coast to coast - used to live in Glendale and drove to Rancho Cucamonga once for a haircut.... but my recent visit to Vardges at Dioro gave me hope that I should stop looking! Have been a hair customer for a couple of years now at Salon Dioro. I go 1-2x per week for blowouts and color. My main hairstylist is Nelli, I have also gone to Breauna. Both women are excellent at cutting, coloring and styling. The prices are fair. The customer service very good. They are flexible about getting you in. I would suggest making an appointment in advance if you want someone in particular. They get busy. Best days are earlier in the week. People are friendly and helpful. Salon Dioro is located at Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, so there's plenty of parking, and you can get some shopping therapy in afterwards! read more

I got my nails done here, and it was charged $30 more. I was told $40 for acrylics, and got simple, short, acrylics with pink nail polish and ended up paying $77. She didn't even prep my nails before beginning, and some of the nails were different shapes. I was upset that I ended up paying that much for my first time getting acrylics. I had not had any attention upon my hair for 2 years, so I was really in need of a style, and with all of my split ends, I was sure it was going to have to be hacked off. Also, my hair is very fine and thin so highlighting it takes someone with some REAL experience. Not only did he give me gorgeous warm blonde highlights that look so natural, but he cut my hair in one of the prettiest styles that I have had. It is simple, elegant & versatile! It was my first time at this Salon and I was very nervous to go and get a hair cut. I made my appointment and changed it 3 times for that same day and the girls were very nice about changing it and didn't give me any attitude. :D I went in and got my haircut, but I was so nervous that I made the girl nervous too, so she ended up asking me how much to cut with every hair she cut. sorry lol. I just told her go ahead and do how you think it will look good and healthy. The result ? AMAZING.
