This salon is clean and simply laid back. I don't really like the salon environment at most places but this one is different. Dawn is my stylist, she is really good with hair. She listens, makes suggestions and takes her time to make sure you're happy with your hair. She has done both my daughter and my hair and she does great work. I have been going to Salon Council for 3 years. They always provide an excellent service at a reasonable price. Allan is very attentive to the needs of his customers and provide excellent service every time I go (which is about every 3-4 weeks). I also never have to wait on site, they are always on time, no time ever wasted sitting on the couch for hours. Overall, I would not go to any other places for a man haircut, keep up the good work! AVOID this place!! My daughter went in to have a special occasion hair appt for prom. She showed Angie a picture of what she wanted but that was not what was done. Her hair looked matted in the back and had no curl at all, as requested. We had to take it out and redo it ourselves. I called the salon and spoke to Angie and all she did was argue with me. She wanted her to return to the salon but, that was impossible, as special occasions, like prom, are timed and there was no time to drive back, have her redo it and make it to pictures on time. I asked Angie (who is apparently the manager) to have the owner call me. That was a week ago and I haven't received a phone call. For over $100, this was a terrible job. read more

The stylist assigned to do my hair informed me that she was not comfortable since she had cut hair as short as I was requesting. She asked Nedely and she agreed to cut my hair. Salon Council Weston is great! Everyone is friendly and the salon is kept clean. They decorate the salon with the change of seasons and holidays which is nice. They have a points reward system that I get my favorite products for free once I've accumulated enough points. I have been going to Angie for MANY years now! She is amazing! I am a natural brunette but I have been going blonde forever now and she keeps my hair healthy and beautiful! Kam is just as amazing! Terrible experience at the Weston location with Angie yesterday. She did not listen to me at all when I spent the consultation telling her exactly what doesn't' work for my hair. I specifically said no short layers and I literally have chin length layers. I part my hair to the left and she cut it for a middle part. She cut more than twice the length that we discussed before the cut. My hair was to my waist and its barely past my shoulders in the front. I said 6 inches and she cut more than 12 in many places. The front is uneven. The back is uneven. Its choppy and is the worst hair cut I have ever received. I have auto immune diseases and it will take YEARS to grow out these horrible layers. I told her short layers were cut before and it took 6 years to grow them out. Unbelievable! I cried for hours after. DO NOT TRUST HER WITH YOUR HAIR!!!! read more

i went to this place after having a bad experience at a different salon and it completely exceeded my expectations. All of the staff was very nice and sociable. They are also very modern, appointment made online, walk in, check in, get haircut. My hairstylist Kam was super friendly and was able to work with the reference pictures that I gave him to fit my face shape and frame. I had booked a full head of highlights and the toner and cut and style i paid a total of $279. I don't think it was worth it. I don't have the healthiest hair, the hair dresser refused to put bleach on my ends therefore my hair is stained. 3 different colors on the highlights. One of the stylist there told him to put a little bit on the ends but he did not listen. When he took the bleach of he blamed it on my hair he said that it would blend in. Considering the amount of money i paid that was unprofessional. The toner he put is so dark. My salon experience wasn't the best i felt judged. The stylist was very unprofessional he made comments that were not necessary i felt like i was made fun of. I honestly do not recommend this salon at least not with the stylist Robert. read more

I don't do much reviews, but I have to say this place is amazing. The best way to describe it, it's like a spa day, but for your hair lol. I had long hair and I came to this place to get a pixie cut and dye a few bits of my hair blonde for the first time. It was a big transformation and I'm so glad I did it with my hair stylist Kam. He also taught me the best ways to style my hair, how to take care of it, and what products to use. Three months in and I'm still so happy with my hair cut it's the best! They also take great precautions with everything that's going on with COVID. Right when you walk in, they will check your temperature and give you hand sanitizer. The environment is super clean and the staff is very friendly. FYI- I've been going to Kam for years. Before with the other shop in Hair Maniacs back in North Miami and at that time I mostly went to the other hair stylist name Dora and she was awesome! So you will definitely not get disappointed. If you come to this salon I recommend you go see Dawn, she is amazing with color, styling and gives you a honest opinion on what your possible results can be if you are choosing to make a color change or do a fashion color. Dawn was able to give me this amazing platinum ash blonde that is beyond words in how natural and healthy my hair is coming from a dark brunette color base without over processing my hair. Plus, the products that she recommended previously when I have gone to her have helped kept my hair healthy and bouncy without breaking the bank too. After a second chance I am still DEVASTATED by what this place has done to my hair, I have never cried my eyes out this much! Backstory- I came in on mothers day weekend with my mom, she was booked with Angie and I was booked with Kam, the salon was pretty empty and we had a ton of laughter, fun, and a hair photoshoot. Fast forward to Saturday the 26th, I re-booked with Kam because I was happy with his service. I showed him a photo of the balayage I was looking for, knowing I wasnt leaving with that shade of blond on the first round- Kam felt very confident, he said "will you do exactly what I say and use what products I tell you" to which I of course agreed. He explained the photo back to me and explained we were going for an ash blond- I told him whatever he thinks but do not turn my hair yellow or orange. He laughed and got out his foils, board, and brushes and got to work; stating "dont you tust me. " Put me under the heat for a while, then out of the heat, then washed my hair. I come back to my hair and it is MUSTARD yellow. I didn't speak, he assured me that he has to do the toner and then I will see the color. Saw the shade with the toner and I was sooo excited. Washed my hair and started to dry it- not only was my hair yellow it has spots of orange in it. I was freaking out- Kam came up with the idea to weave in highlights to break up the "orange" As he was applying it, he ended up re-bleaching my whole head all over again. He seemed annoyed with me at that point not talking to me and slopping the bleach all over my neck, all over the floor, on my shoes (you have cameras, watch them). He sticks me back in the heat- I am horrified at this point convinced I am going to be bald. He started dying another persons hair and left me for 1 hour with bleach all over my hair. Washed my hair again and it is WORSE. Chunks of hair coming out on the comb, my hair has the texture of a paint brush. We leave to pay and Angie starts taking photos of my hair in front of the shampoo- no fancy light photoshot to show off their work.I cried my eyes out for 10 hours, and came back in for them to try and "fix" what they did. This time Allan did my hair- he redyed my dark roots back to dark and applied a darker toner. My hair looked so much better- he instructed me not to wash my hair for 2 days so the toner can try and hold. Here I am 1 wash out and I have yellow hair again. Called the salon again to let them know. This time I got the pleasure of speaking with Joel who stated he was at the salon Sunday as I was bawling my eyes out- sorry I didnt know who he was. He stated "it cant be as bad as it was," and that toner isnt going to do anything I need this $70 shampoo they sell in order to not have mustard hair. So they get to DESTROY MY HAIR, as lisenced professionals and try and push product on me. I am filing a complaint with the BBB, I suggest you do yourself a favor and RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN from this salon or you will also be cutting all your hair off and paying another salon to fix it. read more
