This called for a trip to a barbershop, I thought. A real one. The fact that she is an Asian female barber intrigued me. With my son's straight Asian hair, an Asian barber would know how to handle this the best. I was right.  Joanne was friendly, familiar and efficient. We walked in and were greeted right away. They her to sign in on a tablet and assigned her a barber right away. For how short her hair is and as little she needed it took about 30min to get a cut. They chatted the whole time. I don't really get hair cuts often but it was $40 for what she got which is probably on par with other places. This shop has been in Southdale for years now! Hopefully they are able to stay around despite the mall shifting to a more high-end market.
