This beach was behind an airbnb we rented for the weekend and it was very foggy the entire time we stayed, but we saw some really beautiful animals while we were there. A lot of ducks and babies, geese, egrets, snowy plovers, playfully swimming sea otters just to name a few. Only sad thing was beach was not well maintained as it was littered with plastic bottles and garbage from recent partygoers who built a makeshift party hut out of the driftwood on the beach. And a couple dead pelicans due to the recent pelican issues with overfishing. But overall, a peaceful area with lot of wildlife.

Amazing white sand beach! Small uphill walk to the beach. Also a flat pathway along the water front. Outhouse toliet available

    Morning walk.

Parking here is easy as long as you are at the part of the beach where the horse trailers enter. Driving north on highway 1 it is the first left into Moss Landing. You will see a liquor store on the highway and the left hand turn lane is small. Be patient as there is always traffic heading the other direction into the Monterey area. You will drive through a neighborhood so please be careful and drive slowly. The road becomes a dirt road for just a short time and I am able to access this parking lot safely in my mini cooper. No truck or four wheel drive needed like other beaches farther down. The walk on the beach is short and gorgeous! I usually walk towards the harbor and work my way around on the road walking past Phils Seafood. Today, the tide was the lowest I have ever seen it today. I am so grateful I was up for a walk. It is a short 2.5 mile walk round trip. The fog was fairly thick this morning but I didn't care. Much needed outside time. No bathrooms here except for the porta potties which are usually disgusting. Thank goodness it is beautiful! Enjoy and keep your valuables covered. Cheers and Happy Yelping.

Beautiful and peaceful. Our baby loved the soft sand. The dolphins were out and showing off! A lot of sea weed on the beach, but nothing bad.

Nice clean beach but you might come across horse poop. You can rent a horse to ride on the beach. Keep in mind as nature takes place, you may come across a dead bird, sea otter, etc. just leave them be. There is free parking and a porta potty. Beautiful place to relax.

    Overcast but nice !!

Was a lovely place to stop ! The beach is well taken care of . It's great place to take your kids and have a picnic ! Not a lot of ppl around which is a nice.. I highly recommend this spot ! My only complaint was the horse droppings . It would be nice if they would pick up after them just like some owners would pick up dog poop .. The beach sign says no dogs but I seen a few there .. I will return with my family !

After parking your car, walk about a quarter of a mile down a chasm, crossing a sometimes treacherous log, and then scaling down about a 15 foot sandstone wall face. Once descended, you will discover yourself to be on one of the area's most pristine beaches. The rip currents and aggressive tides ensure that nothing stray stays on the beach -- no seaweed, no shells, no nothing. So the beach is always clean and raw. The coastline here for about 3 miles long has a 100 foot cliff wall at the back of the beach, which means that this access point is the only one for at least a mile in either direction. People go here to get away from it all, and sometimes you may see some discreet nudists, but I don't think it's known to be a nudist beach. A great place for dogs and people to get close to the elements, listen to the pounding surf, feel sand between you toes, and wonder about how you can feel so far away, yet be so close to the hustle and bustle of the 408, 650 and 415. Please don't tell everyone about this place. Oops, I guess I just did.

This is a state run beach, so to get that premier and close parking you'll need to pay. It was ten-dollars, but that covered you for the whole day and you could leave and come back if needed. The beach area itself is small, but offers amazing views of the "natural bridges" or rock formations that give its name. My son and I crawled through a small hole in the rock wall that opened up to private cove. The cover was awesome, but not a place where you can lounge due to the tides. The tide pools are located high up on the rocks that are only accessible during low tide. You'll mostly only find sea anemones and a few small crabs. There are some picnic tables here near the back of the beach under some shaded trees, so families can enjoy lunch without leaving. This picnic area butts up to a pond that, I assume, when it's high tide is a direct link to the ocean.
