A nice Italian restaurant. Very busy for a reason. Great food. Even the bread on the side was excellent. Roasted aubergine + Burrata I had as a starter was really good. Ravioli (main) was good, but it was swimming in a sea of single cream. Am I supposed to drink it off? It's kinda hard to eat. Besides, it wasn't contributing much in terms of flavour or texture.

Very good food with a good wine selection - unfortunately not much by the glass. My wife had the veal Milanese while I had the veal Saltimbocca. Both were very good with the Saltimbocca being our favorite of the two. Five star service (Thanks Arthur!) always makes for a good experience.

Burrata and prosciutto

We were craving some Italian food and were so delighted to have found Salento. The burrata and prosciutto were perfect for the starter and I thoroughly enjoyed my bolognese! The restaurant is in a really cute location and the staff was amazing! Highly recommend! But make sure to make a reservation, it's a smaller restaurant and doesn't take walk-ins.

What a treat ! I've been to so many restaurants in Paris this is easily a top 5 for me. They have exceptional service the waiter does it all on man army gotta love that. He is extremely polite speaks English and french and has a really warm smile. The resto it self isn't big so call ahead, they open at 7 so call then or the day before. The place started getting packed near the end of the evening and lucky for me where I was sitting there was a sliding door I could escape without bumping anyone's table. Food was amazing, I would defs go back and recommend it to anyone who's looking a good place and not a tourist trap.

Thank you Yelp for helping us find this gem of an Italian restaurant. It's on a corner, unassuming but bright and warm when you enter. People are sitting elbow to elbow but no one cares since they're so focused on their delicious meals. Full house. Filled with locals. Great Yelp reviews. We're in! Truffle pasta, prosciutto, pine nuts, sausage...Oh My! You could hear a pin drop at our table once our food arrived. All unbelievable and generous portions-by Parisian standards. And while it was a one man show in the dining room, you'd never know it. Service is courteous, attentive, and swift. Food. Check. Service. Check Happy. Check GO. Made a return visit to their new location and the food was even better than I remembered. This Gem is a staple, I Will be back!

Rigatoni alla crema di tartufo (black truffle cream rigatoni & parma ham)

Salento Marais was AMAZING. Seriously, if you're in Paris and looking for delicious, authentic Italian food, you have to stop by. The staff were very friendly and speak both French and English, so don't let a potential language barrier stop you from coming. We ordered several bottles of wine and appreciated their recommendations each time. Their house bread was fresh and piping hot. We stared with bruschetta and charcuterie (because in Paris, you have to always factor in a charcuterie board). The drinks and appetizers were nicely paced to not make our main entrees feel rushed. I ordered the Rigatoni alla crema di tartufo (black truffle cream rigatoni and parma ham). I am not exaggerating or deploying needless hyperbole when I say this dish is LIFE CHANGING. Too often, restaurants overdo the truffle flavor, but truffles were perfectly used here. The rigatoni had a deep creamy flavor without feeling overwhelming or cheap. The parma ham was a delicious addition that added even more complexity to the dish. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in Paris. I can only hope that one day, Salento Marais will make the jump across the Atlantic and open a location in Washington, DC.

Pasta arrabbiata

Small restaurant in the quiet section of the Marais. Excellent service on this busy Friday night, but our host/server was kind and attentive. Reservations are a must! We started off with bruschetta, which was everything anyone who loves this appetizer could ever want. It was simple, restrained and made with fresh Parisian bread, OMG. My son ordered the Risotto Prosciutto, cooked to perfection - creamy, delicious and al dente. I'm a vegetarian and don't always have a ton of options when eating out, so my usual go to is Pasta Arrabbiata, and at Salento, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. The arrabbiata sauce was probably the best I've ever experienced and tasted as if made from the freshest ingredients. We will definitely be back for more.

Super cozy this definitely was one of my best place to eat in Paris. Waiter guy was super sweet. Loved the ambience. They have amazing wine/ food/ dessert choices. I basically used Yelp to look for this place and thought this place deserves more than 5 stars for sure. Serving authentic Italian food and desserts. I can't believe how well they prepared the food, how well wines went so well with the flavor of the food. Even their sample olives tasted amazing 1. Bologna / 5/5 perfectly prepared noodles and sauce 2. Zucchini risotto: best risotto I've ever had !!!! A lot of ppl ordered truffle pasta and tiramisu, and I bet they were delicious as well Definitely recommend this place for trying authentic Italian food in Paris when they get bored of eating French food. I loved this place more than any place I tried during my stay

Bolognese
Bridget K.

Good Italian food in Paris! I ordered the beef bolognese pasta, my mom had the same and my dad had the Gorgonzola risotto with sliced pear. For starters, we had bruschetta and a roasted vegetable salad. The bruschetta was good! Very fresh tasting. The roasted vegetable salad left something to be desired. I wasn't that impressed with the flavors. Our dinner was very good! The bolognese was very hearty and the pasta tasted homemade! I loved it and luckily was starving! It was a huge dish! The risotto was fantastic! The cheesy risotto with the light sweet pear was impeccable. It was amazing. We were so full when we left! It was a very good meal.

Ravioli!
Katherine K.

Incredible! Make your reservation now! If you want fresh delicious pasta, make your way here. You will need to make a reservation at least the day before to get a table. The pasta is amazing, the bruschetta app was incredible and burrata was a perfection addition. This place is tiny but packed, everyone is ordering plentiful amounts of food and wine and enjoying themselves. The service is great and friendly. I ordered the speck pasta and my mom ordered the ravioli- both were delicious. If I'm back in Paris I will be coming back, one of the best meals in Paris! YUM!

Rigatoni with black truffle cream sauce. Amazing flavor!
Ann L.

Oh man. Oh man. Oh man! I was doing some serious yelping to find a great Italian spot to dine at while in Paris. Having spent time in Italy, both studying and visiting, I'm very picky with my Italian foods. This place delivered. I had the rigatoni with black truffle cream sauce, and goodness gracious it was just so darn good!! It does have a few dollar signs next to it on Yelp, but don't let that scare you away. My dish of pasta was €20 plus another 5 for some wine, but it's worth it. My one star off was about my seating, which wasn't entirely in the restaurants control. I arrived at 8pm for dinner on my own, and there was only one table left (meant for two) that I was seated at, and it was right by the door. Although it was nice to look out the window as people passed by, the cold air from the door opening and closing was quite annoying. Go around 7 before it really fills up, because (I counted) and there are only about 20 seats in the house, and it's still cramped with that.

Lemon chicken
Tanika R.

Delicious Italian food. Lemon chicken was a Little too bitter, but everything else tasted delicious.

So we wandered across the street and found this nice little spot with outside seating and a variety of appealing menu items. We were seated outside quickly and after a little time our waitress came to take our order. As mentioned in my other reviews we have small appetites, so we decided to split the Pizza Salsiccia based on its other reviews. When reading reviews, keep in mind that there are two locations for this restaurant. As I perused the reviews, it appeared that the other location, has more of the five star reviews. Despite that we decided to give it a try. The pizza was flavorful. I am a bit of a pizza aficionado, so my standards are very high. I would give the pizza a 3 star rating because it was very wet in the middle. The type where the topping pull off when pull a slice out. The coffee we had after was very good. Overall I think I can recommend this place with the caveat that I do not recommend the pizza, unless you like that type of dough.

On night one was started with glasses Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne which we really enjoyed and on our second night we had to have the bottle. We split the Diavola Pizza and the Calzone. The Calzone was great and completely stuffed. I will say if I had to pick I preferred the Diavola Pizza but that's because Enza is making fresh authentic Neapolitan Pizzas. For Round 2 we got the Salsiccia Pizza as well as the Truffle Pizza. The Salsiccia was my favorite of all the pizzas we had here. The Truffle Pizza was also very good and loaded with truffles as well so it is very rich so just a heads up. They on make their own Spicy Olive Oil which is great for dipping your fluffy crust into. We of course had to get dessert as well. I had the Pistachio Cheesecake which was get and had amazing Pistachio flavor. We also got the Croque Glace which is a true Ice Cream Sandwich. It was Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate on a Brioche Bun. It was actually so good and much better then what they are serving at Epcot. The staff was so friendly and helpful each time we came in and seemed happy to see us. For sure a place to check out if you are starting to get a little sick of French Cuisine.

The story goes that I and the rest of my Nintendo of America colleagues had just finished up a very exciting business conference with our friends over at Nintendo of Europe. After wrap up, we decided to take a small tour around the lovely city of Paris. I, of course, took note of all of the similarities between the real Paris and the version seen in the Mario Kart Tour mobile game. I have to say, Nintendo hits it out of the park once again. We then decided to stop inside the Gemini, since that seemed to be the only restaurant name that I could pronounce. I decided to order the Truffle Pizza, and since I am from New York, I love a good pizza. The first bite and it was already heaven on earth! Truly authentic French food being served at this wonderful establishment. I am also very glad that the waiters entertained my shenanigans when asking them what they thought about Mother 3. I had a good laugh after they didn't even know what I was talking about. Excellent service, great food, and an overall fantstic time for any Nintendo fan wanting to stop in and admire the beautiful jungles of France. Also, don't forget to check out Pikmin 4, which lands in stores July 21st. Thank you for reading this highly anticipated Reggie Review, and I will see you all another time, Switch fans!

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.
