Husband and I stopped by last night for a quick dinner. Husband ordered a large salad and a drink. He added chicken and crab. I had a small salad with chicken and a drink. Total came to $28. That seems excessive for a salad dinner. The items were fresh but nothing special. Chipolte chicken and salad dressing were very, very spicy. I could not eat much as it was so spicy. I most likely will not be back. I find the price too high for a light dinner. read more

This place is really good. It is like subway, except its salad and wraps. Its a little pricey but i will say the food is fresh. On a weekday afternoon, this place is PACKED! This is because it is located downtown in an area higjly populated during working hours. Parking is as challenging as the rest of dfw but i cant fault them for that as it isnt their fault. It's nice to have a healthy option downtown. Salata has a plethora of options for a salad or wrap. I thought the food was good, but a tad bit expensive. The customer service was poor. As I'm standing in line I was asked what I wanted on my salad by a worker who was 15 feet down the serving line. I couldn't even see the ingredients that far away. I told that to hear and she seemed mad. I noticed that I wasn't the only person frustrated by this. This restaurant could have big potential if they were a bit more organized at this location. Between the people that come in the store and those who pre-order online, it's evident that this location seems to struggle at times even when they aren't busy. This will be my new spot for "lazy-no-cooking" days, which occurs at least three times weekly. I love salad bars, and you can't beat $8 for a regular sized salad with lots of yummy toppings. My only reason for 2 stars is they are overpriced compared to other places like souper salad or sweet tomatoes where it's all you can eat with more options and the service is better! No one looks happy to be here. They want to charge you for extra dressing. They only give a pinch of the items you want on your salad. If I order a small salad that is half the size its only $1 less. Went here for lunch with a friend and I honestly have nothing but good things to say about this establishment. The salads are fresh and they have a variety of veggies/ meats to choose from. This place is good, don't get me wrong, but spending $11.00 on a lunch time salad is a little much if you ask me. It's a pretty cool concept: you chose your lettuce type, veggies, meat, etc. and they mix it all together for you. Great food! My friend and I went in tonight 45 minutes before close. The girl making the salads kept stopping to wipe up any dropped items as she went since they had already cleaned up. Half of the 6 tea options had already been dumped and put away. All of the soda nozzles were removed already. As we were being rang up the phone rang. The cashier told the other worker "if that's my aunt don't answer it" and the other employee answered the phone by saying "what? Yeah, hello. No she's busy right now" and hung up. We had been eating for about 5 minutes and the one who answered the phone asked if we needed any more lemons because she was putting them away. She then came out to get the rest of the teas (30 more minutes til close) and then asked if we wanted anymore tea, my friend responded "yes but I'm just drinking black so you can put the others up". She put them all up. We left 17 minutes til close. They were breaking down the salad bar already. Food was good but I won't be returning to this location. read more

At least once a week I walk over to Salata with the rest of the firm. The location is perfect for grabbing your salad or wrap to go and enjoying the ample outdoor seating in Sundance Square. You can certainly dine in, but I doubt anyone goes to Salata for the ambiance. Fresh vegetables tossed with flavorful dressings and well seasoned lean protein are the reasons you patronize Salata. For around $10 you can eat like you tell yourself you will: fresh and healthy, but satisfying. The line gets long quick, and I get a little claustrophobic while I'm inside, but if you're like me and you like to grab and go, Salata is one of the better options you've got in Downtown F-Town. read more

I visited the location in Southlake the 1st time and then the downtown location to compare--same experience! I like the consistency and the quality of the food offerings. I noticed that the downtown locaiton will toast or warm your Asisago roll and the Southlake location does not seem to have that option. Not a big deal but that was my only CON. Price point is great, The Tea Tap for tea enthusiasts offers a variety as well as San Pelligrino or other bottled beverages are available. I took my teenagers and they were impressed. That says ALOT! I do not think I could ever tire of this place. The garlic herb chicken is awesome as well as the chipotle chicken and the chipotle ranch dressing if you are feeling a little spicy. That wakes up any salad. They will mix all ingredients and toss, while drizzling the dressing perfectly combining all of that goodness in your salad to be enjoyed! ....I need a moment...from nuts, alfalfa sprouts, snow peas, mushrooms, bacon---oh the BACON...they have it all, you name it! This is kind of a strange concept. It's like going to a salad bar in a full body cast and having to describe to your friend how much of each item you like in your salad. Could I have a bit more of this? Just a little bit of that. These are the conversations you have with the staff behind the counter who are dishing up the ingredients. Not sure if I was paying by the ounce? By the bowl? The staff seemed to really try to rush me through the line while I was trying to examine the many many ingredient choices. And there was no one in line behind me so no need to rush. And when you get to the protein part (I asked for chicken) I literally got 6 cubes of chicken. I asked if I could have more and they said"$3 for more chicken". $3 for 6 more cubes? No thanks. There is no explanation of how the line works (I told them I had never been there before) or any choices of salad combos with preselected ingredients. $13 later I basically had a half full stainless steel bowl of salad, and an iced tea. The salads here taste great! Everything is fresh and the chicken and bread are good too! I also lilove the tomato basil soup with the pesto chicken! Only bad thing is that it's really pricey and good luck on getting someone that speaks English to take your order. The management here is terrible! I've gone on several occasions and left with the same result. Not enough salad was given and I end up eating more of the added condiments than salad itself. At check I asked for pita chips and they counted exactly 3! When I asked for more the manager said he would charge me an extra dollar. When I told him that he only gave me 3 he exhaled so loud and made it seem so difficult to add more. I've had coworkers tell me similar experiences. We arrived at 7:50 pm and informed the young lady that this was our first visit to the establishment. We were told you can have a bowl or a wrap so far so good, this is where it got weird. The young lady said "we close in ten minutes" my wife said "does that mean we have to eat really fast?" her reply shocked me "or you can get it to go" we were walking around downtown, that was not an option.
