We did not know there was a pub crawl for St Patty's day happening on the day of our reservation. We were the first to be seated in the restaurant since it opened at 5:00. Once we sat down we found out there was a limited dinner menu. The waitress took our drink order right away, but it took 20 minutes for the drinks to be delivered. While waiting for the drinks the waitress took our food order, took our food a good 40 minutes to be served after we ordered. The waitress told us our food was delayed because one item was burned in the oven and had to be remade. When we finally got our order one of the entrees was cold and the other was luke warm. We had ordered both entrees medium, but they were also over cooked. I understand they were busy with the pub crawl, but that should not have impacted their service as much as we experienced. What really disappointed me that the restaurant did not make us aware of the limited dinner menu and that they also were hosting a pub crawl when we made reservations. We could have made a decision to cancel the reservation before we traveled to the restaurant I hope the owners of this restaurant will plan better in the future and make their patrons aware of special circumstances affecting the menu. All I know is that I will not be returning.

My sister frequents this location. The server recognized her and already knew what she wanted. As for the rest of us we were able to get drinks and get our order in very quickly. The food didn't take long at all for us to receive. We had 9 of us so that alone was impressive. All of our meals came out together, correct, and hot. I got the machaca chimichanga. It was very good. I was hungry so i couldn't tell you what everyone else ate. I dug in so quickly I almost forgot to take a picture of my food. My husband got the steak ranchero. I didn't hear anyone complain except for my daughter that complained her quesadilla was stuffed too full of stuff. Not really a complaint if you ask me. Their salsa was also very good. It had good flavor but wasn't spicy. They do have a spicy version if you ask. Personally I like to mix the two together. I'm from AZ where I'm able to get amazing Mexican food. I've found I generally don't prefer Mexican food on this side of the United States so I was extremely happy to find a local location with great food. The staff was all very pleasant. A gentleman came over and gave all the kids candy from his candy basket he was carrying around. I believe he was the owner. When we were finished our bills arrived quickly and correct. On our way out as we were waiting for the remainder of our party the candy man came over dancing. He grabbed my daughter's hand and started dancing with her. Everyone was so nice. We will definitely return.

The British-themed atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and genuinely makes you want to linger longer. We arrived on a Saturday just after 11 AM and the place was already bustling...a great sign of how much the community enjoys this spot. **Food:** - I had the Traditional Burger, no bun, and they easily accommodated my request for a lettuce wrap. The burger was beautifully cooked--crispy on the edges and juicy inside, with the extra pickles I asked for. - The House Potato Salad is hands-down my favorite side here: perfectly seasoned and generously portioned. - My friend got the Fish & Chips and raved about the crispy, perfectly-cooked fish and the addictively good house-made tartar sauce with lots of dill (pickle lovers take note!). - She enjoyed her fries and iced tea, while I loved my hot tea. They serve Twinings teas, which are my favorite. My only wish was for a classic teacup and saucer (rather than a Styrofoam cup) to complete the authentic British feel. **Service and Experience:** - Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, from accommodating special orders to promptly bringing refills on drinks and providing extra sauces with a smile. - We placed our order at the counter and our food arrived at our table piping hot and fresh, never left sitting in a window. - Although the restaurant was busy, we never felt rushed and were encouraged to sit and chat as long as we liked, which felt very authentically British. **Menu Variety:** - Union Jack has something for everyone: a wide range of burgers (like Black & Blue with blue cheese, Mushroom Swiss, Breakfast, and more), as well as sandwiches such as club and chicken, lots of fresh salads, breakfast items, baked muffins and scones, plus daily specials. - They offer both indoor and shaded outdoor seating--a lovely bonus on pleasant days. **Atmosphere:** - The location in Rainbow Plaza offers plenty of parking and the eatery is spotlessly clean inside. The warm, small-town vibe and British decor make this a cozy place to catch up with a friend or enjoy a leisurely meal. **Insider Tips:** - Try the potato salad and the fish & chips--they're local favorites for good reason. - Don't be shy about customizing your order; the staff handles special requests graciously. - If you go on a nice day, consider the shady outdoor tables for a true cafe experience. Union Jack Cafe is a true neighborhood gem with consistently delicious food, generous hospitality, and a community-focused spirit that's worth supporting. Highly recommended for anyone in Rainbow City or passing through. I'll absolutely be returning often, and encouraging everyone I know to do the same!

The atmosphere is so laid back and there's live music during a certain time of day. I admire the decor in the men's restroom. This is one of those pubs that you'll seat yourself, but we ended up sitting at the bar. Blackstone has a great list of cocktails, beers and shots that makes it difficult to choose from. They must've be known for their pizza because many diners had pizza boxes at their tables which is something that we gotta try next time. We ordered food and drinks which I ended up getting the bbq quesadillas and he ended up getting nachos. The nachos came with a big container of queso which was really good. My quesadilla was pretty thick which I've never had a quesadilla that huge before. It also came with chips and salsa. They don't skip on the alcohol because it seemed other restaurants you order drinks from have barely any alcohol in it. The staff is well trained and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, this is so far my favorite pub in Gadsden and look forward to coming back.
