Shrimp and Scallop- I've never had more bland seafood in my life

Overall: Hibachi place with okay food, service, and ambiance and multistall gendered restrooms. From what I know, it's our only Hibachi local restaurant. I love hibachi, but this one doesn't feel super worth the prices. I'm normally fine with paying a little extra when the show is fun, the chef is interactive, and the food is tasty, but the show here feels like the chefs are just going through the motions and the food is really bland.

Was in the area and stopped by for takeout. Looked like a great spot for dine in with friends. Very welcome and friendly. The servers were dressed in cute cultural attire also. Beware- it has a strong food smell due to all the cooking and hibachi so come prepared to leave with your clothes smelling like food. I got the California roll and avocado roll. Decently priced. Taste wise: 8/10. I noticed I wasn't served any ginger like I normally get at the other spots.

Putu was our server and this was my worst restaurant experience hands down. Our chef was great with food prep and the hibachi experience. But Putu tried to place to go boxes in front of us like 5 minutes after being presented food and threw our bill in front of us trying to rush us to leave. Then later in our meal he stopped coming by the table so we had to ask another table's chef for water, who referred it to Putu. Then Putu brought water but instead of giving it to us, he went to the next table and asked them if they wanted water (which none of them did) and then came to us only after they all said no. Then the bill he gave us wasnt even split like we had requested and he was very apprehensive when we explained how we wanted it split. We were the only table of black people seated at the time and it definitely gave weird vibes. I'm never going to this location again and would recommend no one else come here either. The food was good but service is impossible to support.

This experience was ehh. Just ehhh. Straight to the point... Pros Well lit parking lot Beautiful establishment & decor Huge dining room Great presentation at Sushi Bar Short wait times Clean bathroom Great customer service, friendly staff Cons Watery Salad No Shrimp Tempura appetizer Distasteful proteins (drenched in yum yum sauce while on grill) I came, I saw, I conquered. Definitely not returning !!

Dinner shouldn't be a fire hazard.

Waitress was nice and attentive. That's the only good thing I can say about our experience. The chef created this massive fire that startled my kids. Then asked if this was their first time here. I replied yes, to which the chef said "I can see that." An apology would have been nice because we had to spend the rest of our meal trying to comfort our kids. Food was also burnt and the hardwood floors are sticky!

    Food for 8 people.

The vibe was pleasant but had the makings to be rowdy on a weekend or happy hour. We started with the crab dip which was super legit. More of a queso texture, this dip is served with tortilla chips and bread. Very tasty. I had the fish tacos which come with fries. The tacos had the right amount of fillings and spice. The fish had all the smoky seasonings of being grilled. An excellent dish. My bride had the French Toast as it was brunch and what I sampled was definitely approved. Our daughter had the fish which was light and flakey. It was seasoned less than the fish in the tacos but equally delish. We finished it off by share the crème brûlée which was perfection. Their selection of steaks and seafood was rather impressive but was a bit too expensive for my blood. However, if you truly wish to celebrate somewhere, their selection likely cannot be beat. Go up one level in the parking garage where there's space for Grillmarx and enter the entrance on that level.

He was personable, professional, and knowledgeable of menu items, and any questions/issues were promptly addressed. Now for the food. The starter was Naked Steakhouse Wings with assorted sauces. It was fine. Caesar Salad with dressing, which was a little too vinegary for my tastes, so it was just ok. The entrees consisted of the FiIet Kebab basted with Teriyaki Sauce. The Teriyaki Sauce was reminiscent of cornstarch gravy - not a fan. The sauce was not tasty and seemed to have been poured over the kebab - not basted. Plus, it came out cold over undercooked Wild Rice. It was disappointing. However, they remade it without the teriyaki, and that was sufficient. My niece was not happy with the Parmesan Peppercorn Chicken. Wasn't at all tasty. It was tough and flavorless. My grand nephew ordered a Lobster Tail and a Center Cut USDA Sirloin Steak. The lobster tail came drenched in butter, and for some reason, Old Bay seasoning which was not requested. The Restaurant Manager, Mr. Hosane admitted a mistake had been made. The next Lobster Tail came out with too much butter and paprika. I'm sorry, I dont want Old Bay or Paprika on my lobster, period. The steak was cooked to order. However, it didn't seem to have been finished properly. Finally, the signature drink Blueberry Strawberry lemonade was not made with Stoli, but Smirnoff. I noticed a difference, so i ordered a second with a shot of Stoli on the side. It was then I was told that they did not have any Stoli. So. When I come back in the area, I will give them another chance--restaurants can have a bad day-- but in the meantime, the food was subpar. For me, consistency is key.

We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)
