The food, especially the fish, was VERY over priced. This was the most expensive meal we had in Turkey and we ate at 25 different restaurants while traveling. The food was fine, tasted good and prepared well, but not worth what they charged us! The next night we went to a restaurant called Fener and got a very similar meal for HALF the price! Also, the Baklava, which was raved about, was dry and not that impressive!

All of these restaurants have the guy out front trying to steer people in, but we picked this place based on a recommendation from our guide book. Fail. This place is just as touristy and overpriced as all the rest. Fresh fish is expensive most everywhere you go in Turkey, but this place was at least 50% more expensive than a similar meal we had the next night as a place called Fener restaurant (you need a car to get there), which catered more to locals. Give this restaurant, and Gumusluk in general, a miss.

This place was far beyond my expectations in terms of the quality of food, and the setting. The mezes were fresh and delicious - the grilled octopus was amazing, and the fish we picked out was equally fresh. This restaurant was a pleasant change from some of the touristy spots prevalent along the coast in the area.
