Sitting just beyond Skyline Medical and across the road from the Lowe's/Walmart complex, this Thorntons is your typical set up for the brand. They have a decent footprint with most of the space going for gas pumps and parking lot. Interior is well stocked, mapped out decently and sparkly clean. Service was friendly and welcoming. Gas prices are running around .10 cheaper per gallon than the nearby Murphy, and seems a bit safer and is open 24 hours...so, all big wins in this area! Overall, I'm sure my rating may change with time, but given current state, they are solid and we are excited to have Thorntons in the neighborhood!

If you are after the standard or basic snacks and drinks, they got you, but anything beyond isn't promised. Easily the cheapest prices is the area, which is why I usually swing through when the tank is getting a bit dry. While the gas prices are cheap, the condition and cleanliness, inside and out, are pretty rough. Constant overflowing trash cans, debris all around and on the pumps, while inside is in need of a good deep clean and refresh. Getting in and out of the place, and even maneuvering around the pumps can be stressful. The neighboring car wash makes the entry/exit a pain when their line gets backed up. And Doverside is a mini raceway, so be careful when exiting. Service is hit and miss here. Overall, this Murphy's is a bit unsavory for my liking, but the cheap gas prices lure me in on occasion.

In this area of town, the gas station choices are less than stellar and this spot plays right into that unfortunately. For those who know Love's, you normally expect a large sprawling parking lot filled with copious gas pumps, a bright and expansive interior with many bathrooms, etc...along with all the goods of a truck stop gas station. Sadly, this Love's is a small version of that major Love's stop you are familiar with. There are not enough pumps and the lot is way too small for the amount of traffic that comes in and out. It is really nice to be able to swing right off the interstate for some gas, but you have to be careful as the amount of trucks and standard traffic doing the same can be overwhelming at times...and there isn't a lot of room for mistakes. I will agree with the other reviews about the interior being well kept and well clean. I did appreciate that, and the service from the counter was not bad. Overall, swing by as needed but never seek this spot out.

Selection is hit and miss, mainly because stock is inconsistent. Gas prices are competitive for the area, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. Cleanliness and condition need some attention. And service is "meh" at best. Convenient location, but not a pleasurable experience stopping by.

He had change in his hand and was getting ready to pay when John, the "store assistant," gave him a demeaning look and asked where he got his money. Disgusted, I asked John why that mattered and told the man to grab whatever he wanted from the store, and I'd pay for it. John didn't like that. He refused to let the man take anything more and only allowed him to leave with the coffee and donuts he already had, giving them free of charge just to stop me from paying for him. Then, John refused to sell anything to me or my girlfriend. He set our candy and drink aside and wouldn't let us buy them. The customers behind us tried to pay for our stuff, but John wouldn't let them do that either. Then, he refused to sell them the alcohol they were trying to buy. The customers walked out, cussing him out (rightfully so), and John cussed them out in return. When we asked John for his badge or ID number, he refused to give it to us. His badge says "store assistant," but he claimed he was the manager and said he didn't care if we reported him because he'd been there 7-8 years and everything is recorded. It's two days before Christmas, and John treated the homeless man with pure disgust and hatred. His behavior was heartless, mean-spirited, and petty. What kind of store allows someone like this to represent them? This is exactly the kind of behavior that destroys any faith in a business.
