I work mere minutes from this Sainsbury's so often find myself popping in at lunch time. It's relatively new, so modern and, as supermarkets go, attractive looking, as well as stocking a good selection of produce. The queue can be long, but it moves quickly and there are loads of self-service machines.
I tend to make up my own salad at the salad bar, as it's really reasonably priced. A decent Regular size for £1.99 of whatever I want from the selection on offer. The problem though is the selection. I appreciate that there are a lot of people wanting salad, but it's not restocked often enough (the staff at the counter are standing chatting most of the time) so you're left to try and scrape the last bit of tuna pasta out of the tub. The selection is usually decent, though it varies day to day, I just wish tubs were refilled more quickly. I also wish that, like the Rose St branch, their hot counter included baked potatoes, but alas. read more
