We lived at Sailpointe for approximately two years. Unfortunately, our move-out experience has been extremely disappointing.
After moving out, we received a Final Account Statement with $1,905 in charges. It included a $1,200 charge claiming that we had taken a washer and dryer from the apartment. After we disputed it, management confirmed that we had used our own appliances and removed the $1,200 charge.
We are still disputing the remaining $705.
One charge is $30 for a "missing smoke detector." We have dated move-in evidence from August 5, 2024 showing that the smoke detector was already missing when the apartment was provided to us.
Another charge is $400 for "RV Lot Trash Out." The automotive items were not left inside the apartment. They were located on Parking Space 9, which we separately rented from Sailpointe for $50 per month. Before the items were removed, we contacted management and offered to return and remove them ourselves. We were waiting for a response, but the items were removed before we were given the opportunity to do so. We have also requested documentation showing how the $400 amount was calculated.
We tried repeatedly to resolve these charges directly with management and provided supporting documentation, but management ultimately told us that the remaining charges would not be adjusted.
Based on our move-out experience, I strongly recommend that residents keep dated move-in and move-out photos/videos, save all emails, and carefully review every charge on their final statement. read more
