I've been learning to sail, and they helped extend my knowledge and even taught my husband and kids a few things. Kids got to hoist the sails and drive the boat. The route they planned for us was beautiful. We really enjoyed the little excursion on to the cave and snorkeling. And then they took us to this beautiful cove where they prepared a warm lunch for us. We're all vegetarian, and our kids (ages 10 and 6) are very picky eaters - and even they loved the food. I think this was one of the best meals we had in our entire 4 weeks in Spain. The boat itself is very comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Deck pillows up front, paddle board and inflatable inner tubes to play with before/after lunch. The only downside was having to pay in cash. They were very up front with this, but we didn't prepare well and had to pay a lot in ATM fees. Just something to be aware of and prep early.

if you want to enjoy your sailing vacation, please, AVOID viva charter! we rented a boat last…read moresummer in Palma de Maiorca and the boom fell apart, very dangerous, broken in 2 pieces in the first 24 hours with zero wind.We had to go back to the marina where they had us waiting for less than a day to replace it with a shorter one. the were not surprised at all as they said the boom had already been repaired once. at the end of the vacation, when we returned the boat they asked us an extremely huge amount of money for a boom that was already broken! we never got to speak with a supervisor and they have been very rude and unprofessional during the whole process. We have been sailing every year since 19990 and......that was a first!!! we will never ever use Viva charter again
