I ordered through Yelp. As contacted, I showed up 20 minutes later. Bot only was my order, not ready, the 3 people working there hadn't even looked at the computer to see my order. So, I had to wait while they started it. One of the employees did make me some coconut drink while I was waiting though but I had already been driving for 2 hours so this was unusually inconvenient. Given that I was the only person there and they had no other orders, I didn't get it (& I always tip online so I couldn't get it back). I usually get Pho from a place in San Gabriel where I go once a month but if I bring it home, the noodles are all stuck together (I never eat the whole thing at once) or if they leave the broth inside the noodles are mush by the time I am at my destination. I ordered pork and shrimp spring rolls and chicken pho. I was terribly disappointed that the chicken was tough and chewy. Most Vietnamese places poach or steam the chicken with a little bit of spices and is super moist and tender. The spring rolls had no taste at all. I actually took it apart to find out if there was pork inside. All the filling was pork (super thin and tasteless), shrimp (only knew it was there because of the pink outline, also tasteless. how can shrimp be tasteless?), lettuce, and rice. Why did they put rice when the wrapper is "rice" paper? Most restaurants put the protein with lettuce, carrots, other veggies. The peanut sauce was good though but not enough to season the 2 rolls. Maybe half of one. So disappointed and couldn't believe the rating on Yelp! Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. read more

Finally found a place that made bahn xeo in torrance! Sealed the deal when I found out they were from OC! It was our first time trying this place, and let me tell you their hospitality was great. Thank you again Charlie, we got the milk tea (i recommend it) and strawberry habiscus tea for drinks. We got their bahn xeo, oxtail pho and chicken wings. Prices were definitely reasonable. Let me tell you so far so good. Gonna come back for more!! Love that we finally found a place to fulfill that vietnamese food cravings and not have to drive to OC for it! read more

No, Saigon Dish is the clear winner at this point in time, but it's also not fair to compare a casual eatery to a sit-down restaurant. Is it a solid option for a Vietnamese craving when you live in Torrance and don't feel like hopping on the freeway? Yes, absolutely. Bonus points for being run by Vietnamese people so the flavor profile is on point. This place has very decent prices for pho and I like how the menu set up is easy to pick from. We ordered 3 beef phos for pick up. I loved the extremely organized packaging that separates broth from noodles and meat. The broth flavor is very unique. I don't know how to explain this, but it kind of tastes like salami? I wasn't sure if that's just how it tastes because everyone makes pho differently, but that's how this one tasted to me. It wasn't a good or bad thing, but it was definitely something new. Not the flavor I was expecting but it still satisfied my pho craving. I will say that the broth was on the oilier side. When I eat oily things I cough a lot and this one made me cough more than expected. The noodles were also different from other pho places. It was very chewy, moist, and slightly fatter than other noodles. I liked it, but some may not. Might try again to taste other dishes on the menu! read more

Oxtail pho was really savory and tender cut of meat. Pho broth was also fairly good not one of the best I've had though. I'm giving this 3 stars because of the chicken wings were just bad. They were small and fried too long leaving them with a hard texture and hardly any meat on the bones. $8 dish for 5 wings not worth it (owner gave me 8) probably to compensate how tiny they were although would rather have 5 regular sized wings. read more

-HONEST REVIEW- To keep this review concise and to the point, I'll start off by saying that on arrival we were greeted by a nice staff member who took our order. We ordered 2 regular beef noodle soups, 1 with brisket and sirloin and the other with no onions and only brisket. We asked if they had fresh spring rolls, in which the employee said they did, and then I moved on to ask him to add that to the order to which he responded sure. He then charged us, and asked us if we wanted the receipt (Which I always agree to for reference if anything ever goes wrong) but he looked very stressed out and he closed the register, handed me my change, and then this is where it kind of spiraled downhill. 1. He charged us, but didn't give us our receipt. He also later after charging us mentioned the wait would be 25 ish minutes... it would've been nice if he would've given us a heads up before I.e just to let you know, we're backed up right now so before I charge you, are you okay with waiting 20-25 ish minutes? So, after charging us and telling us after the fact we already paid we had no choice but to wait. 2. 22 minutes later our food came, the broth wasn't hot like how other pho places serve it (usually it's piping hot while this bowl it was hot-warm) 3. Usually when you go to pho restaurants they give you bean sprouts, basil, limes on the side but when he gave us the pho, the other man working said, "So sorry, were all out of veggies, we ran out." My problem is, these things aren't communicated BEFORE hand, because if this was the case we would've went somewhere else. The fresh herbs and vegetables are essential when eating pho, and it's just... disappointing to eat a bare bowl of pho. 4. I then ask him after just letting this second problem slide, if I should wait here for my fresh spring rolls, he then looks at the man who took our order, and then he says, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't charge you for that. Do you still want them?" I just don't understand how that could happen after him repeating my order and charging me. I get that maybe they're having many orders, but it's quality over quantity. 5. After all, although the bowl of pho wasn't bad, it was clearly lacking quality. I wish that it was hot for one, I also wish that they would've told us beforehand that they didn't have the fresh side vegetables that's usually served at pho restaurants. The flavor was subtle, and lacking. Maybe it was an off-night. *Note Before choosing this place I read mixed reviews with many people praising this business, and others saying that it was lacking in the means of those eating-in vs. those who order take out, and it looks like take-out has the priority, because sadly what takes the cake is that I saw them give out a bag of bean sprouts and condiments and put it into a to go bag, when they didn't offer us any with ours. All in all, I'm pretty disappointed and am unsure if I will ever go back. read more

Love this place & I regret not discovering it sooner! It's really nice having a local spot this close to home! My family loves the oxtail pho, it comes with plenty of meat for a very reasonable price. The meat is very tender! The to-go packaging for pho the is very convenient as it has a compartment for the noodles separating it from the broth, so innovative! We have also tried the banh mi, vermicelli plate, and golden bao! All very yummy! Super friendly staff. They currently have two small tables outside, if you want to do outdoor dining, but the food also travels well to enjoy at home. Stopped by and tried the oxtail pho "for here". It was really good. It was served in two separate bowls - one main bowl with soup and noodles and a smaller side bowl with soup and oxtail. The amount of oxtail that was served blew me away given how expensive oxtail is now. Five stars for value alone. The soup flavor was really good. I really appreciated the hot temperature everything was served at. Nothing worse than luke warm soup. I'm definitely returning to try the other items on the menu. The staff was really polite. Last week I visited this place. Had the beef special pho 2X and it was delicious! They are missing the chilly oil but other than that it was one of the best pho I've had! I tried the garlic beef noodles and this version isn't for me. I personally didn't like the wet noodles. Spring rolls where also a little off for me as the peanut sauce they serve isn't the same as I've had in other places. Will I keep visiting for the beef pho? YES!! We just left there and the chef asked us how the food was and I honestly have him a "very good!" It's also great value! It was $10!! They did not skimp on the meat at all.
