THey have a guided Home tour that is about 1 hour..We had a group and one person whos child was acting up and had to take her out because of the noise. So if you want to take kids you may need to consider that.There are LARGE gardens for them to burn off energy to. One of my favorites, was the "Service Wing at Work". Where you can walk into a room and watch on the wall a video of a gal making butter, or making food etc. This section would be great for Homeschoolers .Its well worth the ticket cost if you didnt get a "English Heritage Pass" . (With that, we just got waved in.)

With the National Trust you just show your pass and you walk in.This is Cambridgeshire's grandest working Estate. It has a Hall, the Gardens (which was MY favorite.If you are familiar with Capability Browns work, you'll see it all over Wimpole ) There is the Home Farm and the Park. THis is an all day affair if you go. They have walks, and tours available.You can picnic here and they have anextensive gift shop in several spots.There is also a restaurant on location. THis is well worth the money.If the kids get to tired going through the home, take a break and let them run through the large gardens. This Estate is for everyone. I would go again.

To see the line up close requires paying an admission fee of about 20 pounds to get into the observatory. We didn't pay the 20 pounds and didn't get our photos taken with one foot in each hemisphere. But the view from just outside the observatory was amazing.

Just approaching the area I was already awestruck that I was going to see this historic place of interest. I didn't realize that there's a monument slightly offset from the crossing at almost the perfect location to film. However, I do feel for the residents having to endure numerous tourists affecting traffic in the area, but hey, coming from Hawai'i, I'm for certain they are somewhat used to it. Coming from me, I do appreciate their patience for allowing me to cross twice for a nice shot recreating the cover. Thank you very much!!

It's a funky, artistic, electric, bohemian market with a collection of local artisans and indie, small business entrepreneurs. It's an open air market that quite literally has something for everyone. What a fun place to visit!…read more We spent a few hours of our london trip at the Camden Market, and what a sight to see!! They have a variety of hand-made goods, food, drinks, and more. We tried the pimms drinks for the first time, and it was wonderful. I enjoyed to Sushi Burger and OMG it was so good. They fried the salmon to perfection and ill be thinking about the meal for awhile. The views here of the river is wonderful, offering this beautiful day to be seen from all over. The only qualm I have is there isnt much seating- I struggled to find anywhere to eat other than standing - so take that into account when planning your trip. Other than that, a great time to hang with friends and try a variety of foods.

I'm not sure what conclusion I'd want to draw, but I guess the piece certainly summarises the debates about Banksy himself. Art or just daubs? Pretensions of grandeur? Destroyed by money, or elevated beyond his natural position by the hype? A couple of changes have been made. The council (apparently) have partially obscured the male member, though it's still pretty clear what it's meant to represent. As for the person who's added their opinion that Banksy is a **, I don't think they've given much thought to what they are doing. Their banal addition rather demonstrates they are the one with pretensions of grandeur if they think they can comment! This is on the side of a restaurant on the junction of Shafton Road and Victoria Park Road.

When I saw it I almost had no doubt it was made by Banksy, and as it took me a good hour to find this first and only painting in Hackney, I interpreted it not only as the sign of the end of free art this would be no news! but also as the end of street art. All in all this classic looking artist is not trying to paint a beauty on a canvas, but a rebel sign on a public wall, while his leg is locked with this ball with the money sign. So when I associate all this with the fact that all Hackney walls are now purified from graffiti, I'm just left with the impression that art was finally killed, both indoor and in the streets. Oxburgh Hall is a place that shouldn't be missed when visiting the area. It sits within a moat and…read moreis a great example of English brick gatehouses of the 15th century. It was originally built circa 1482 by Sir Edmund Bedingfeld and has been continuously occupied by the family ever since. There have been several upgrades as well over the years...centuries. There are Victorian additions that were added later in the 1800's like the terracotta chimneys and windows along with amazing gardens to name a few. It has always been used as a home, and not a fortress. The home has seen the War of the Roses, survived a fire and near demolition prospects and still stands. It is truly an amazing place to visit and I'm happy it's under the care of the National Trust. The hall is known for its "Priest hole". In the event of a raid a priest could hide in the wall and couldn't be found. This is open to the public, whereas most like it are closed. That makes this is a fantastic historical opportunity alone. I must say, it is a little unsettling to go into the hole and you definitely get the idea of how the priest must have felt. The home is also known for the needlework on display by Mary, Queen of Scots while imprisoned in England and Bess of Hardwick. You can also tour the Kings Room where King Henri VIII stayed when visiting. Photos are not allowed inside...darn it, but you are welcome to take pictures of the grounds and such. You can obtain books and postcards in the gift shop. This review was overdue and I simply can't believe that I didn't finish it. But I'm even more surprised that no one else has reviewed this place when it is so extraordinary. It shouldn't be missed if you are in the area. If you are a history buff like us, then you'll truly enjoy it. Gee Whiz info...the name is pronounced: "OX bru" Note: I also recommend becoming a member of the National Trust. They do great things and keep history alive. Whether you are from or live in the UK or just visiting from outside the country...it's well worth it and goes to a great cause...it's a win/win for all!
