Read the labels before buying, some of the eggs come from the USA as well as most of the produce. Great deals on fresh poultry and ground beef in family sized freezer packs. You won't pay less anywhere else for chicken wings or breasts. Meat close to it's expiry date is reduced an additional 25%. I have noticed they tend to run out of regular ground beef and it may be days before it's restocked. There is a large selection of frozen processed entrees and appetizers (chicken cordon bleu, mozzarella sticks, chicken fries and nuggets etc.) in family sized poly bags at bargain prices. The house no name brand products (salad dressing, pet food, sour cream etc.) while of a slightly lesser quality are a fraction of the cost of PC and similar house brands. Sale items rotate every Thursday when the new flyers come out. I get notifications from my Flipp app. Of course not all items are less than the competition and it's always wise to compare flyers, but I've noticed since shopping here a 10-15% monthly savings.

I can still purchase my probiotics at a 25% drop in price online and that saves me anywhere from $15-20 per month just for probiotics! Plus, free shipping and they expedite their parcels fast. Homesteader does not provide very good service. One of their salespeople is absolutely wonky...she used her mystical 'feel' to zero in on the "right" product for me...I could not wait to get out of the store that day! As well, if you need something, you really have to ask not once, but probably two or three times for help. This store just does not put customer service as a priority. Another problem that I have with this store, they ask you for your address and phone number. Everytime you make a purchase, they say, " phone number". I never give my phone number or personal details but I decided to ask one day why they ask you for a phone#. The clerk said that when you spend (a lot), then you reach a miniscule discount level. I have stopped shopping at this health food store because of their prices. If money is no object to you, then you will find a good selection of vitamins, minerals, beauty products, birkenstocks, etc.
