My daughter and I took this class in East Orlando from Nathan and James and it was great! We were both new riders and didn't know what we were doing. The school was so awesome - they even offered scooters. My daughter definitely wanted a scooter, but I wanted a motorcycle until I realized that a motorcycle was not my thing and they were extremely nice about it and switched me out and gave me a scooter and I did 1000 times better with that. Nathan was excellent in his instructions. His voice was loud and clear and his instructions were thorough. He also used a good bit of humor, which is always appreciated! I liked how they would tell you what the assignment was, and then not only that, they would actually demonstrate exactly what you were supposed to do. That was good because sometimes the instructions were a little bit wordy and I was a little confused until I saw the demo. I fumbled a couple of times a little bit and the feedback was fantastic. Nathan and James both gave excellent feedback, especially Nathan, and my riding improved instantly after applying the corrections. They knew I was nervous, but they were patient with me and continued to encourage until I mastered the skill. If I had anything to improve, I would say maybe reinforce the paint on the concrete because it's fading and can be difficult to see which actually harmed my performance a little bit because I got a little bit lost once or twice because I couldn't really see where I was supposed to be. The white paint from the parking spaces was a real distraction. It's hard to complain about that when the rest of the class was so excellent, though. Easily a five star experience! read more

I took the course this past weekend in Port Richey, FL. I found the instructions to be uplifting and easy to follow. The class is set up for success so even the newest rider can absorb what is needed to safely operate a clutch motorcycle. They had us riding after the first hour and a half. There were two instructors at the class and each of them had positive attitudes yet they were also very serious about what they do. You can tell they want you to not only complete the course but to also be a safe operator of a motorcycle when you finish and accomplish the skills portion. I rode years ago and thought I knew what I was doing when I got to the class. I was very surprised that I learned a lot that I didn't know. If you are a new rider this course is perfect. If you are a seasoned rider needing an endorsement for your license you will not be bored in this class and you will probably learn something new or maybe something you have forgotten. The course is laid out with markings all over the place. It can be confusing but in the end you can see what each mark actually represents. If you look at it from Google Earth you will see what I mean. The instructors lay it out for each excersise and it all makes sense. Don't overthink the experience, just follow the lead of the instructors. Impressive course! I attended with my 2 college aged sons, 1 with several years of motorcycle riding experience, the other with absolutely no motorcycle riding experience. The online "knowledge" course was thorough and covered road rules plus methods to reduce risk and improve rider safety. The onsite training was almost exclusively "skills" training on a motorcycle in their private training area. Each skill began with the instructor explaining the skill, then a demonstration of the skill by the instructor, followed by the students performing the skill multiple times, and ending with discussion on what was learned. Each new skill built onto the previously learned skills, culminating with each rider proficiently completing all of the skills required to pass the state skill test. My experienced son learned a lot in the online "knowledge" course and improved his skill during each skill session. My son with no motorcycle experience left with the proficiency to safely ride on public roads. The instructors did an amazing job of keeping everyone engaged, and providing an enjoyable experience for everyone! If you are an inexperienced rider who wants to learn something new and become a safer rider AND driver, or an experienced rider who just wants to get the motorcycle endorsement for their license, you will enjoy this class. read more

Fellow bike enthusiasts, I encourage you to find another beginners bike course. Angie at safe ride completely ruined our weekend and screwed us over. I called and made a reservation for my my boyfriend and myself to complete the bike course. Angie said it was fine to just pay on the first day of the course. She sent me an email confirming our booking to which I promptly replied "Thank you, we will be there =)". We rented a hotel room, drove an hour to the course, showed up with jackets and helmets and money in hand and we're told we were put on a "standby list" and since the class was full were not able to stay and do the course. When I called Angie, she said that since I didn't reply to a text she sent me (Which I absolutely never received) and I missed her phone call that she put us on the standby list. Even though I I had already confirmed with her. After showing her the email she sent me THE MORNING OF THE COURSE confirming that our spots were secure she offered me a mere $50 off of doing the course another weekend. Horrible experience. Totally unprofessional. Wouldn't risk booking with them unless you want to be turned away at the door and treated like crap. read more

I was able to spend an amazing bonding experience with my son at a SafeRide MSF course recently. We attended the South Orlando class that was taught by Nathan and Evelyn. The class was was taught so well by these two. The support during the difficulties, that anyone was experiencing, was downright inspiring. They informed us so clearly about the course exercises and what to expect in the process of licensing and purchasing and riding and just about anything that we could think of when it comes to being responsible on the roads. They encouraged the entire class every step of the way, which made for a perfect learning environment. A little drizzle on day 1 did not stop us from getting A1 instruction. I have to share that Nathan is a natural instructor. His and Evelyns love for riding is constantly evident and THAT made us (students) better after every lesson. My son and I just bought bikes today and honestly cant wait to swing by and show our teachers how far we've come, all thanks to them. James and Ryan are prime examples of what a teacher should be. Ryan was super charismatic and able to cut any silence with a joke, James was honest and offered not just reasons why for every lessons but also personal stories of each lesson he learned in life. Both instructors were super patient and made sure that everyone was coached to keep up with the class, there was no way to fall behind due to the time they would take to make sure everyone learned their curriculum. James made sure to answer every question and Ryan made sure all topics discussed were fully understood, they built off of each other and made a great team. The environment that was fostered made for an easy way to communicate with other riders and make friends to help each other grow. Toward the end of the class the lessons become more independent wile still having a proper amount of supervision and at no time have I felt that I was set up for failure or ill prepared for an evaluation. I had a great time at this school - Dan and John are terrific instructors. I went from having no experience of riding a motorcycle to enough to where I can confidently start on a beginner's bike such as a 250cc cruiser with a motorcycle endorsement and have obtained the knowledge to become a better motorcyclist each day. Even if you're only somewhat interested in riding, I'd highly recommend taking the SafeRide Basic Rider Course just for the sake of learning something new, and acquiring a unique skill. Be prepared to come out of your shell, as all of the activities are group-oriented and you'll be teaching others what you've discovered while riding, and also sharing knowledge from the rider's handbook. It was a surprisingly interpersonal class, which of course isn't a bad thing in this day and age. read more

I just finished taking the Basic Sidecar/Trike Course in W. Melbourne and I really enjoyed it was fun educational. My instructors Paco, Ken and Doug were awesome. They conducted themselves very professional. They had a great sense of humor which made the class a lot more enjoyable. I was very impressed on their knowledge about their equipment it was perfectly well explained to us. they make sure that we understood everything before we executing any riding exercise. I'm looking forward to take my next class with them for the two wheel bike hopefully next summer. This weekend I did a two day basic rider class at SafeRide in East Orlando, My instructors were Jose and Will, I can't say enough good things about these two guys, they both made sure everything to the T was throughly explained and demonstrated while having fun! If you struggled they both helped to make you feel comfortable. I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about riding, now I could jump on a bike and go! I see the ones who say that Che'ree wasn't a good coach but I had her and she was amazing. She told it like it is and I'm glad, I don't want to be coddled I want to actually learn. i had never ridden but she guided me through. I didn't pass in just the first time, but it's free to ride it again and I was glad I had her again for my second class. I learned so much and being able to take my time and calmly practice was wonderful. The bikes aren't new but they are well maintained, there are very few models being made today that fit the requirements, so they keep as many as they can. CiCi's instruction was the best - her knowledge and practical approach to instruction is second to none. south orlando school was excellent, jim and james are great instructors. they helped at every stage of training, letting you know what you are going right or wrong, and what the value of each lesson was for. they take the time to demonstrate the skill, and know how the weather plays on the body--frequent water shade breaks. highly recommend these gentlemen do not recommend east orlando, only one break and lunch--heat 108, must get done early because i don't get overtime, no feedback on each exercise, review standing out in hot parking lot, it's the student's job to know what to ask questions read more

I learned a lot by kan and Dave had a great time they showed me the best way to ride and learn motorcycle would've been a little better and easier if they would paint the course more to make it easier to see where they would like us to go there was a few times I was confused on where to go and made a few mistakes because of it I think if they repainted the course I would've been able to not make that mistake but other than that everything was awesome definitely go and try that again if I need it thanks again Ken and Dave and save riders read more

I had a fun time learning to ride with Cheree and Shalonda. They went over everything first by the book then demonstrated it on the bike. During each learning session on the bike they provided feedback on what you did wrong and what to correct. They also gave positive feedback when you improved and got something right. Safety was a very important topic as well. Overall nearly my whole class passed the riding test and written test. The only bad part was the FL heat. Stay hydrated and drink water and electrolytes. read more

This is the place to choose if you need to get your motorcycle or scooter endorsement. They are very structured with their program, helpful, and encouraging. I tried the OOSI school and I would not recommend them to anyone. I tried Saferide after my poor experience with OOSI and was very pleased. Saving a dollar doesn't always save you a dollar and can sometimes cost you more in the end. Adam and Dustin were great instructors and Angie was so nice and accommodating. They made sure you understood every element for the extreme beginners and also gave opportunity for a little more experienced riders to practice their skills based on their ability. They made safety a clear priority and non-negotiable while also keeping the energy and fun alive. I called and spoke to Raphat who was very informative. This is a great family owned business here in Orlando and the price for its 2 day class is very reasonable. I went for classes Saturday and Sunday and Monday morning I went to the DMV in DT Orlando. I showed them my State Motorcycle Completion Card and got my endorsement for $34 dollars with a new license.
