Leased a new car - windshield split from the bottom in the first few days. Via the dealership we were directed to a 3rd party that engaged Safelite. After 5 appointments / visits: 1. Ordered the wrong windshield 2. Received a scratched windshield - had to visit to be told instead of a phone call 3. Received a scratched windshield - had to visit to be told instead of a phone call 4. Arrived for appointment only to be told they don't have the parts to do the job - again, another waste of our time for 4 scheduled appointments. 5. Finally get the job completed successfully - they tried to bill us another $500+ for calibration that was supposed to be part of the repair. Claimed (lied) that they had checked with the 3rd party and we owed out of pocket. Spoke to the 3rd party who determined they had never called because if they did, they would have discovered the work order was never supposed to be sent to them and would have directed the business elsewhere. All this nonsense occurred with claims of 'not my problem', 'not our responsibility'. The 3rd party resolved the situation, but the folks running this location have no idea what 'customer service' is as a "service company, not a manufacturing company" per one of their installation techs. Go somewhere else. IMO there is a reason their location numbers are not published. read more

I scheduled a windshield repair and told the scheduler to have the technician call my wife's phone when on the way since I'd be at work. They confirmed they updated the number -- but the tech called my phone instead (which was on Do Not Disturb as I was at work) and never called my wife. He rang the doorbell once (our daughter was sleeping so it was on silent), never knocked, and according to our Ring camera, only stayed about five minutes before leaving and never attempted any other phone number listed. We rescheduled and I again emphasized that we needed the first appointment of the day. The scheduler said it was in the notes, but when the tech later sent a photo, nothing had been written down. Because the appointment time went beyond what we could accommodate, we had to cancel again. It really felt like there was minimal effort and poor communication on Safelite's part. We won't be using them again, but I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their customer service and scheduling accuracy. read more

On March 15, 2025, I had my vehicle serviced by Safelite to replace the front windshield. Following the installation, I immediately noticed that the window tint on both the driver and passenger sides was chipped--something that was never an issue prior to the service. The damage was especially noticeable on the passenger side. Additionally, my dash cam was broken during the removal process, presumably when it was detached from the old windshield. I attempted to contact the company the following day but was unable to reach them, so I called again on Monday. I was advised to schedule a warranty appointment, which I did. A technician came out within a few days and confirmed that the tint could likely be repaired, and stated he would speak to a manager regarding the broken dash cam. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up call, so I reached out again two days later. The manager then scheduled a second warranty appointment, this time to further assess the damage. By this point, the process had become increasingly frustrating, but I remained patient. After the second appointment, I received no further communication. Upon following up again, I was told there was no way Safelite caused the tint damage. Regarding the dash cam, I was offered a $50 gift card--an amount that does not come close to covering the replacement cost. Despite multiple follow-ups, I have yet to receive a call, text, or email from the company. I even requested contact information for the district manager or asked to be contacted by them directly, but received no response. To make matters worse, on April 23, 2025, my rearview mirror detached from the windshield. I visited the location immediately after work and was told the issue was due to a manufacturer defect. However, I have never experienced issues with the mirrors in any of the three BMWs I've owned, and it was clear the mirror had simply not been reattached properly during the windshield replacement. I was informed that I now need another windshield replacement, though I was not provided a clear explanation as to why. From what I've researched, this should not be necessary unless the detachment of the mirror caused damage to the glass--which it did not. In summary, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. While Safelite's prices may be competitive, the damage they caused to my vehicle--including the tint, dash cam, and now the mirror--amounts to over $700, well above what I paid for the windshield replacement itself. The lack of accountability and poor communication is unacceptable. If this matter is not resolved within two more weeks, I will be pursuing legal action. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with Safelite's customer service and workmanship. I made an appointment and dropped my Mercedes off first thing in the morning when the shop opened. Despite having a scheduled appointment, no one contacted me all day. Half an hour before closing, I had to drive to the shop myself just to find out the status--only to be told they hadn't even started my car yet. Meanwhile, they were taking walk-ins. I was then told my car would be done in 30-45 minutes, which clearly shows my appointment was ignored. Months later, I began noticing my driver-side windshield wiper wasn't functioning properly. During a routine Mercedes service, I asked them to take a look and was told it required calibration and would cost $200 just to diagnose. After some back and forth, Mercedes confirmed the issue was caused by the windshield not being properly calibrated after installation--meaning this was directly related to Safelite's work. When I returned to Safelite and requested reimbursement for the $200, I was told I "should have brought it back" because it was under warranty. That response is unacceptable. There was no clear indication that the issue stemmed from the windshield replacement, and customers shouldn't be expected to diagnose Safelite's mistakes for them. Between the lack of communication, failure to honor appointments, and refusal to take responsibility for improper installation, this was a very frustrating experience. My appointment was at 3pm, I got there at 2:30pm and now it's 5pm and I am still waiting in the waiting room. This is my 2nd time using this facility and the 1st. visit was great. I waited about an hour during my 1st visit. My 2nd visit is going about 3 hours now. They are nice about it, but I don't need nice, I just need my car to get done. I will let my insurance company know about my experiences. I think I will find other glass company for future needs for my family. read more

I dropped my car off on Friday morning. 3 hours later, after i had to call the business, they said the car needed more attention on the computer system. I agreed that they could keep it over night. It's now Tuesday and I've texted, called, left messages and nothing. I do not have s car, so i need to figure out how to get down there and just show up? They have had the car for 5 days! I was the first customer to arrive at 8:50 for a 9am appt, followed by 2 other customers (who dropped off their cars. While I chose to wait). My car was the last to be brought back, at 9:33. They told me it'd take 1-1.5 hours. At the 3 hour mark, I went to check and it was still at least 30 min+ more. The other cars were done a long time ago and yet I still wait. They have country music blaring so loud, I cannot concentrate on anything, let alone work. The room smells like stinky air freshener; just a terrible experience. I will never come back. Awful experience - Safelite (Castle Rock CO) confirmed they would be at my home for a windshield replacement on this past Saturday between 12:00 and 5:00 pm. Not only did my Insurance Company confirm this appointment, but Safelite notified me Friday they were confirming their arrival at my home during that window. So, I took the entire day off, sat dilligently waiting to ensure I was there for them - 530pm, and NO ONE showed up. NO ONE Called me, NO ONE texted me. Basically, Safelite left me hanging and I lost an ENTIRE DAY to their lack of any work and communication. Shame on you Safelite - my recommendation - find any other glass repair company except Safelite. read more

Place sucks, customer service is bad and they can't confirm a appt I made for them to go next door where my car was to fix the glass. They had it as a bring in appt and I made it as a mobile appt. When I called to check on my appt they act like it was my problem and they are the ones that made the mistake. We scheduled a windshield replacement on Tuesday, they were to arrive on Saturday between 12 -6 PM, no call no show at 3 we called them they said they tech called in sick and they were calling two other people to have it completed today. My wife hung up the phone with them and they cancelled the install within 1 minute of her hanging up the phone. So not only did they not contact anyone else, they stopped the service because we called them?!!?! I called my insurance and reported them, but it does not help unless you YELP them. NOT OK... we could not leave on our trip to Saint George and I am very disappointed with them.. don't allow them to let you down too. read more

Bought a new car a few weeks ago and started noticing some of the little defects. A couple of those being some chips in the windshield. I was able to easily book an appointment online and they had me in and out in less than an hour. Comes with a lifetime (as long as you own the car) warranty. Very professional staff. Wow. Rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate are understatements. I wish I had read the reviews before scheduling with this Safelite location. Originally scheduled to have my windshield replaced on Tuesday, I arrived at the shop only to find a sign printed in the window saying they wouldn't be working that day. They didn't bother to call me and let me know not to come in, let alone reschedule me. Calling the 1-800 number left me the only option of a guaranteed 8-10 am install from their mobile unit the following Friday. At 8:30 am Friday their technician called and said he'd be there around 12. The subsequent phone calls to get the installation accomplished were met by absurd rudeness, specifically Debora, and then Nick, the store manager, refusing to accept any accountability. Nick said he'd "write Austin (the installer) up" if anything else went wrong. Nick and Deborah need management training. Also, $40 to "recycle" glass?... congratulations on your "company policy" for thievery. read more

Safelite "Solutions" through Nationwide is nothing like it says it is... Only problems, no solutions is what I got from the Safelite manager while I was there. Their service at this location is terrible. I brought my 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 in for rear sliding glass repair. I left my truck with the techs, with complete confidence that the repair would be facilitated. I get a phone call 1.5hrs later saying the techs cannot remove the back seat in order to do the service to the rear sliding window. I was given excuses as to why. I retorted with, you are here to provide a service, correct??? They attempted to get the tool (female Torx socket) to facilitate the repair. But came back once again telling me they cannot provide the service I need. I am seriously disappointed with this outfit. The manager at Safelite said I can remove the backseat myself for them. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT. YOU ARE HERE TO PROVIDE A SERVICE. PROVIDE ME THE SERVICE. So I told the Manger how do you remove the rearview mirror bundle packages from windshields? Tools I take it. How do you remove the door cards/panels and disconnect the wiring harnesses if you don't have the correct tools?? The blank stare from the manager was quite telling. I asked for my keys and my truck back. I will no longer use their services, EVER... This has been a MAJOR inconvenience for me and my business. I called another outfit INSIGHT Auto Glass and they were so VERY helpful. Kevin called Nationwide for me on a 3way call, and I have scheduled another appointment, and INSIGHT will be servicing my truck at my home, unlike Safelite. What a major major disappointment and inconvenience this has been with Safelite. I'm running a business here, I am also in the service industry and I DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET THE PROJECT DONE. NO EXCUSES. My mantra: NO problems, only solutions. As long as it is in the scope of my trade, I will take care of my customers to the full extent of my being. Needed two chips in my windshield repaired. I tried to call them to find out if they would bill my insurance but they did not answer the phone. I finally just dropped in one day when I was in the area. I did see a phone on the desk, maybe it is just for aesthetics. That's why I didn't give 5 stars. They want you to make an appointment on line, which I have no problem with, but if you have a question before scheduling an appointment forget it. They got me in in two days and it only took about 45 minutes. Everyone was very polite and the repairers were good......and they did bill my insurance company. read more

I got a quote and made an appointment. I got five or six emails and texts confirming my appointment. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that the glass was not there, but it would be there on Monday. Major inconvenience since I drive for work and took a half day off. I made an appointment for the following Friday, since I was out of town the rest of the week. I called on Tuesday to see if the glass was there (supposed to arrive Monday, I'd been told, right?) I was told that the glass showed "in transit" but was at the warehouse so it would definitely be there for my appointment. I called on Thursday, the day before my appointment and was told the same thing, in transit, but at the warehouse "just down the road" so it would definitely be there for the appointment. In the meantime I've had five or six more texts and emails confirming my appointment and telling me how excited they are to have me for a customer. I arrive on Friday morning for my appointment, check in, drop off the car and leave. Half an hour later, I get a call saying that glass is not there and will not be there for another week. Not sure how that works if it was in transit and in the warehouse just down the road yesterday. I understand that parts can be hard to get, but don't tell me it's in your warehouse if it's not. I gave them two chances, but they are not getting a third. Voting with my wallet and finding someone who will value my time and money. I brought my 2022 vehicle in to repair a cracked windshield. When I returned, the windshield had a 3 inch "imperfection" and they told me that is normal. I asked them to please put in a windshield without a scratch as that is what was being paid for. In addition to the scratch, they also left the interior items unattached and they fell off while driving. They also left a cut on the dashboard about 5 inches long. I asked them to fix it but they claimed it wasn't them. They finally agreed to fix it and I scheduled time to bring my car back in for a full day. I dropped it off again in the morning and got a call around 5 pm saying it wasn't fixed because their guy didn't show up. So I scheduled another time a few weeks later. I dropped my car off for a third time and waited all day. Around 5pm I received a call again saying that their guy didn't show up and it wasn't fixed. I went to pick it up and got the managers number. I tried calling for two months to get them to fix it but they wouldn't even pick up my phone call or return messages. Finally, I called the managers cell and he hesitantly agreed to schedule a 4th time to get it fixed. I dropped it off for the day and when I went to pick it back up, they had melted the dash to "fix" it. On top of that, I now have a 12 inch white scuff on my hood and scratches around the area that they installed it. They wouldn't even talk to me and we're very short with me. I have never even raised my voice at them and bent over backwards to work with them. This was the worst service I have ever received and they caused thousands of dollars in damage which they refuse to even answer for. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! I regret coming here. read more

Do not use Safelite . Just call customer service and try to get to a rep. I took my son's car in to get the windshield replaced. They told me it would take an hour..... 2 1/2 hours later. I walked in and asked what was going on. They said it would just be a moment. I said I had an appointment so they told me I was good to go, and I went to take my kid to kickboxing on the way home from kickboxing, It started to rain so I hit my windshield button and my windshield wiper did not work. We were going 75 miles an hour on the highway in the middle of a rainstorm with no windshield wiper, I called to make an appointment to schedule a warranty and I dropped it off and they told me it would be one week and then the part would be in and I would be able to pick it up on Tuesday, I didn't receive any phone calls on Tuesday so I called to check it and they said they received the part but they didn't have time to install it yet. I need to come back on the next day to get Warranty Replacement Blade put on that, they broke three weeks prior. This is absolutely the worst company you could ever deal with.. castle rock Colorado location should be shut down and the manager should be fired. Just look at the reviews. Seriously unbelievable.. the night I drove to drop my keys off and put them in the dropbox it was 1030 at night and the garage door to the shop had been left open by the employees. After a weeklong wait for an opening to have my windshield replaced at the Castle Rock store, I was informed at 9:35am that I was late for my 9:30am all-day dropoff, and that I would have to reschedule again. I looked around at an empty lobby and through windows into a shop with one car in it. This was my second interaction that felt "snide", and I'm done.
