    Patsy's Bay Marina - Reminisce of the Dock

    I'm extremely disappointed by the treatment my family and I received at this marina. We pay for a…read morejetski slip for a few years and came to use the pool, under the impression that we had access to it. Instead of approaching us discreetly or professionally, the owner's wife Patty chose to confront us publicly in front of other families telling us to read our contract, staring, and making us feel completely humiliated. Her tone and behavior were not only disrespectful but felt classless and racial. It was clear we were being treated differently because we rent a jetski slip rather than a boat slip and possibly because of who we are. We were made to feel like we didn't belong there, and that is unacceptable. There is no excuse for a business owner to treat paying customers this way. If this is how they operate with blatant bias and public humiliation, then people need to know. Families deserve to feel safe and welcome, not shamed and singled out. I will never forget how my family was made to feel that day, and I will never recommend this marina to anyone. Every paying customer regardless of what type of slip they rent deserves to be treated with basic dignity and respect. No one should be made to feel lesser than or unwelcome, especially in a family setting. I believe my family deserves an apology from the owner for this type of treatment and disrespect that we experienced. This experience left a lasting negative impression, and I would caution others to consider this before doing business here.

I personally told you on 3 occasions that the damage caused to the ski slips was a BIG problem. You said you would look into it and did NOTHING. You relocated the skis and poorly tied up the slips but didn't tie up a single ski to the slips! I did that myself last weekend, for mine and everyone else's. Sadly, my attempts were too late and many have now to deal with damages, that could have easily been avoided. Unfortunate Below is attached a photograph of the current state of Patsy Bay's Dock. This is what happens when you neglect to fix a breakwater. This is where my jet ski was sitting at one point...

    I purchased a brand new boat from Great Hudson Sailing Center in 2022. The purchase went reasonably…read moresmooth as did the 1st year of warranty work. The boat has a 3 year warranty. In July of 2023 after some warranty work that was not completed I was told by the service manager Andrew Troyano that he would not be able to continue the work for a week or 2. It is now 7 weeks later and I have called or texted Mr. Troyano about 20 times with not so much as a return text or call. In some of my later text to Andrew I expressed my frustration with his lack of response but again nothing. I have spoken to the President of the company Larry Troyano on more than one occasion and was told he would get word to Andrew and still no response. I have 2 years left on the warranty and a dealer who has completely abandoned their customer. I would caution anyone considering purchasing a boat from Great Hudson Sailing Center. I have recently spoken to numerous people in the industry and was told this is not an isolated incident with them. This is the 1st time in my life I have left a negative review of a business but I am beyond frustrated.
